AAFT School of Hospitality Showcases Comoros Cuisine at the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025

NoidaThe AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism proudly presented an exquisite showcase of Comoros cuisine during the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. The event was inaugurated by former Lt. Governor of Pondicherry, Dr. Kiran Bedi, alongside Comdr. K.L. Ganju, Consul General of Comoros in India.

The festival highlighted the rich culinary heritage of Comoros, offering a unique opportunity for cultural exchange through gastronomy. The event attracted chefs, students, and international dignitaries who came together to celebrate the fusion of flavors from the African archipelago.

Dr. Kiran Bedi, in her address, praised the initiative: “Food is not just nourishment; it is a bridge between cultures. Showcasing the cuisine of Comoros at such a prestigious festival is a brilliant way to bring people closer and foster global understanding.”

Comdr. K.L. Ganju, expressing his appreciation, stated: “Comoros has a vibrant culinary tradition deeply rooted in African, Arab, and French influences. I am honored to see its flavors being embraced on an international platform like this. AAFT’s efforts in promoting global cultural diplomacy are commendable.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Journalism Centre, emphasized the significance of culinary diplomacy: “Food has the power to tell stories, create connections, and build relationships. This event is another step towards strengthening Indo-Comoros ties through the universal language of taste and tradition.”

The Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 continues to be a beacon of cultural and media excellence, bridging nations through meaningful initiatives that extend beyond journalism and media into art, culture, and hospitality.

New Delhi: The National Day of Comoros was celebrated with great pomp and show at Hotel Maurya Sheraton where large number of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consul Generals and diplomats graced the occasion.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and   Chair for Indo Comoros Film And Cultural Forum was the special invitee. “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the Consul General H.E. K.L.Ganju and the people of Comoros on their National Day. I wish India and Comoros the best of relations for all time,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“I am pleased and   happy to receive Sandeep Marwah , a man with many hats, also recently nominated by  Comoros as  Chair for Indo Comoros Cultural Forum to be present here tonight. His contribution will always be remembered in making Comoros more popular in India,” said H.E. K.L.Ganju.

K.L.Ganju Patron to Indo Comoros Cultural Forum


Noida: We are thankful to K.L.Ganju to accept the Patronship of the first and newly constituted Indo Comoros Cultural Forum at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on this beautiful occasion of 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema at Noida Film City,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“This is my first event after General body meeting of honorary consular corps Diplomatique – India (HCCD-I) which has elected me as the President of the corps for a term of three years. I am pleased to be the part of ICMEI and Patron to Indo Comoros Cultural Forum,” said H.E. K.L.Ganju while accepting the memento of Patronship in a grand function celebrated to inaugurate 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema.

Mr. K.L. Ganju was appointed Consul General (Hony.) of the Republic of Union of the Comoros. After Government Of India Notified his appointment through a Gazette Notification on 10th January, 2005, he assumed charge of the Consul General (Hony.) and became member of the (Hony). Consular Corps Diplomatique- India (HCCD – I ).

He was sponsored by HCCD – I to represent Indian Consuls in World Federation of Consuls (FICAC). He was elected to the Board of Directors of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) in 2006 at Montego Bay (Jamaica) with 2nd highest Number of votes. He was re-elected to the Board of Directors in 2009 at Izmir (Turkey) and at MONACO in 2012,

 Mr. Ganju was appointed Chairman of the Consular Privileges Protection Committee of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC). He was also appointed Chairman of the FICAC 30th Anniversary Celebration Committee. Mr. K.L. Ganju also became Secretary General of the HCCD – India.

Noida: A well known film and media person Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as the Chair for Indo Comoros Cultural Forum by H.E. K.L.Ganju Consul General of Comoros in India..

“I am impressed by the amount of work Dr. Sandeep Marwah has so far done in the field of Art and Culture. I have never seen any one with these kind of distinctions. Not only that he is a World Record Holder in Media but he is a real philanthropist and humanitarian,” said H.E. K.L.Ganju while handing over the chairmanship to Marwah in the presence of large gathering at Noida Film City.

“I am humbled and with great honor accept the chairmanship of Indo Comoros Cultural Forum. It is my privilege to serve for the promotion of relations between two countries. We have a lot to offer to this friendship,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah accepting the memento.

The Indo Comoros Cultural forum was launched earlier in the function to celebrate the 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema designed by Asian Academy of Film And Television.

Devendra Pathak Vice Chancellor Oriental University, Prof. N.K. Sinha Vice Chancellor of Himalayan Garwal University, Ashok Tyagi Film Maker, Seema Gumer Director Star Buzz Events and Yogesh Mishra Dean AAFT along with large number of film, TV and media persons were witness to this historical moment.

Noida: The Global Headquarters of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City was bubbling with new energy when Indo Comoros Cultural Formed was announced on the arrival of H.E. K.L.Ganju Consul General of Comoros to India.

“We are proud in joining hands and expanding our cultural business & cultural diplomacy through ICMEI. We are sure we will be able to deliver better and bigger results under the      leadership of great international leader Dr. Sandeep Marwah and his efficient team,” said H.E. K.L.Ganju Consul General of Comoros.

“I am lucky as this is the first event I am attending after being elected  in General body meeting of honorary consular corps Diplomatique – India (HCCD-I) as the President of the corps for a term of three years, Formation of Cultural forum is a powerful action which is going to support   me,” added H.E. K. L. Ganju.

A poster with the flags of both the countries India and Comoros was released as a mark of respect to the wonderful relation both the countries are enjoying. H.E. K.L. Ganju nominated   Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Marwah Studios as the Chair of the forum and return Dr. Marwah presented   the Patronship to Mr. K.L.Ganju.

A formal MOU will be signed between the two countries in a short period of time where ICMEI will support the office of Consul General with large number of cultural activities.” We are keen in developing and promoting relation between India and Comoros through art and culture which is our specialization,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Later AAFT mementos were presented to some of the prominent members of the Chamber attending the 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema, which was earlier inaugurated by H.E. K.L.Ganju.
