ICMEI Presented AAFT Scholarship to Panama


AAFT Scholarship Presented by ICMEI to Embassy of Panama


New Delhi:  Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum recently formed by the Embassy of Panama In India and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Jointly to promote and develop better relations between the two countries.

An addition to that ICMEI has offered a scholarship of a short-term course in film and television from AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television for a deserving student from Panama. The scholarship includes three months course along with three months boarding and lodging for the student too.

“We are pleased to handover the scholarship to H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affairs of Panama in India. This is what we believe in cultural diplomacy. The is the another way to bring the people of two countries close to each other,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI. H.E. Ricardo A Berna extended his heartiest thanks on this gesture of ICMEI and AAFT.

Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum Launched at Marwah Studios


Noida: ICMEI- International Chamber o Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Embassy of Panama in India launched first ever Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum to develop and promote better relation between two countries.

A poster projecting colorful flags of India and Panama was released by H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama in India to launch the new forum which was followed by signing of the MOU between the two.

Today is a very auspicious day for us as we could launch first ever association between two countries which will directly deal with the embassy and people of Panama to promote Indian arts in Panama and Panama culture in India,” said H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama to India.

“We have planned many events and occasions where we are going to highlight our relations with Panama. We are going to cover Print, Radio, Television, New Media, Films, Tourism and Hospitality, Environment, Fashion & Design, Skill Development, Solar energy and Peace issues,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“To stat with We have already planned a scholarship for the deserving student from Panama for three months course in film making at AAFT, which will be handed over to Embassy in due course of time,” added Marwah.

“Joining hands with ICMEI is the best part of the year ending 2018. We are sure we will start with   ample activities in the coming year,” said Fauzia Bakshi the coordinator of Embassy of Panama in India.
“I am happy to learn that ICMEI has department of Performing arts and we are going to be part of their event very soon,” said Fidel Dely Murillo renowned   drummer and musician from Panama while appreciating the launching of the forum.

The President of Marwah Studios Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated and appointed Honorary Chairperson of this forum by the Charge d’ Affariers and on the other hand Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Patron ship of Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum to H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affairs.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
 Secretary General ICME Ashok Tyagi spoke about ICMEI and Amir Abdullah paid vote of thanks. Many filmmakers, journalists and large number of media professionals, attended the event.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry presented Patronship to H.E. Ricard A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama to India on the formation of new forum at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum will further promote the relations between India and Panama through arts and culture. Panama has lot to offer to the World. This is the first ever association has been formed in India with ICMEI and I am sure it will bring the relation to next stage,” said H.E. Ricard A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama to India.

ICMEI- congratulates the Embassy of Panama on the formation of this new association and happy to work under the leadership of H.E. Ricard A Berna to develop and promote relation between two countries,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Ricard A Berna is a Postgraduate in Regional Integration from Loyola University, Córdoba, Spain after his Bachelor Degree in International Relations from Panama University.

He has served for almost 14 years in the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Panamá and has been Director of External Politic, European Department, Asia Department and Consular Department.

He has been Part of the Panama Negotiation Team during the Association Agreement between Central America and the European Union in 2008, Part of the Panamanian External Services as Diplomat of Career from 2014

He was appointed Consul in Charge in the General Consulate of Panama in Vancouver B.C., Canada in 2016 and now Deputy Head of The Mission in Panama Embassy in India from 2018.

Noida: A well-known educationist and a media person Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as the Chair of new framed Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum by Government of Panama.

H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama to India appointed Dr. Sandeep Marwah as head of this organization called Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum to develop and promote better relations between two countries through arts and culture.

“We are happy to join hands with Dr. Sandeep Marwah who has a vast experience in cultural diplomacy and has been in the business of art and culture promotion for many years,” said H.E. Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Panama to India.

“I am more than excited to take the responsibility of IPFCF and have many new and unique ideas to promote our relations. We will soon be announcing few of the ideas in the next few days. I am thankful to the Government of Panama for trusting me and bestowing upon me a wonderful responsibility of promoting arts and culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.
