Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum & Embassy of Peru Present Acclaimed Documentary “The Inca – Cities in the Clouds”

Noida, India – February 2025: The Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Peru, hosted a special screening of the documentary The Inca – Cities in the Clouds, directed by Paul Cooper. The event, held during the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 at Marwah Film City, Noida, was inaugurated by Enrique Descalzi, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Peru.

During the event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI, spoke about the strong historical and cultural ties between India and Peru. He emphasized the significance of such initiatives in promoting cross-cultural understanding and strengthening diplomatic relations through cinema and the arts.

Enrique Descalzi, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Peru, also addressed the gathering, expressing his appreciation for the Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum and its efforts in fostering artistic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

As a token of appreciation, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the Award of Distinction to Enrique Descalzi, acknowledging the Embassy of Peru’s contribution to cultural diplomacy and cinema.

The event was supported by the International Journalism Centre, AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI). It was attended by dignitaries, filmmakers, and media professionals, making it a significant moment for Indo-Peruvian cultural relations

Award of Distinction Presented to ‘Deliciosa Fruta Seca’ from Peru at 17th Global Film Festival Noida 2024

Noida: The Indo-Peru Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the International Film and Television Club, proudly showcased the Peruvian feature film Deliciosa Fruta Seca, directed by Ana Cariad Sanchez, during the 17th Global Film Festival Noida 2024.

The film was honored with the prestigious “Award of Distinction,” which was announced by the President of the festival, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in the presence of a captivated audience.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who also serves as the Chair for the Indo-Peru Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his admiration for the film, stating, “This recognition underscores the artistic excellence of Peruvian cinema and its ability to bridge cultural narratives between India and Peru.”

H.E. Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde  Ambassador of Peru was informed about the presentation of the award to the film, symbolizing a growing collaboration and appreciation for Peruvian culture and cinema at the international stage.

The 17th Global Film Festival Noida 2024 continues to celebrate the power of global storytelling, fostering deeper connections and cultural exchange through cinema.

Sandeep Marwah Special Guest at the 203rd Independence Day of Peru

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the Indo-Peru Film and Cultural Forum for over a decade, was a special invitee at the celebration of the 203rd Independence Day of the Republic of Peru. The event took place at Hotel ITC Maurya in New Delhi, and the invitation was extended by His Excellency Javier Pauliinich Velarde, Ambassador of Peru to India.

In a statement at the event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his heartfelt congratulations, saying, “On behalf of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and the entire art and culture fraternity of India, I extend my heartiest congratulations to the Ambassador and the people of Peru on this very auspicious day.”

The celebration saw a significant turnout, with a large number of ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats from various countries, and people from different walks of life in attendance. The occasion was further graced by the presence of Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs and Minister of State for Textiles, Government of India, who was the chief guest for the event.
