Media Workshop by John Hayes of Sheffield Hallam University at AAFT



Noida: John Hayes of Sheffield Hallam University conducted a powerful workshop on digital media for the media students of AAFT at Noida Film City.

John has been course leader for the BA/MArt Digital Media Production and BA/MArt Games Design courses, as well as Departmental Head of Learning, Teaching and Assessment. He is currently a Principal Lecturer and International Business Developer where he is responsible for international recruitment and partnership development,” introduced Amir Abdullah director School of Cinema.

John studied BEng Software Engineering at the University of Sheffield and then completed an EPSRC sponsored MSc in Networked Information Engineering. He has worked in a number of organizations spanning software engineering, digital media design, IT and telecoms in Measurex, desq, Compal and Nortel.
.
“We will soon be joining hands with Sheffield Hallam University President of AAFT University while handing over the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT. John was accompanied with Choudhary of EDuwise and India representative Raabiya Singh

British Creative Team Visited AAFT Campus


Team From Creative Companies of UK at Marwah Studios


Noida: A group of creative people representing some of the finest companies of United Kingdom visited Marwah Studios to have the first hand information of this creative enterprises in Noida Film City.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios informed the team about Marwah Studios, Asian Academy of Film And Television and all other allied agencies associated with the group including Radio Station, Television Centre and International bodies.

The team consists of Tim North Head of Products Paragon Creative, Phil Stilgoe, Chief Executive Officer, Centroid, Motion Capture, Pinewood Studios, Stephen Houston, Director and Geberal Counsel, The VR Sociable Network, vTime, Clemens Wangerin, Managing Director, The Sociable Network, vTime, and Barry Whittaker-Gilbey, Head of Sync And Licensing.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the members of the delegation with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy Of Film And Television. Dr. Marwah has been invited by the group of creative people to United Kingdom who were in India to be part of Indo UK Tech Festival.

New Delhi: UK and India have been rated as the top five investors in each other's economies since 2010. By the end of Q2 2018, the total trade in goods and services between India and UK grew by 20% to 19.6 billion pound.

“The India-UK FutureTech Festival was a major initiative designed to promote this productive partnership by strengthening the tech alliance between the two countries. The India-UK Tech Partnership was instituted back
in April 2018 by India's PM Narendra Modi and UK's PM Theresa May,” said Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG, British High Commissioner to India at the opening ceremony.
The festival took place in New Delhi on 11 and 12 December and commenced with keynote addresses by Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG, British High Commissioner; Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, Niti Aayog; Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner; K Ananth Krishnan, Chief Technology Officer, TCS; and other honorary dignitaries. Their addresses celebrated and promoted further development of the mutually-beneficial technology-focussed relationship between the UK and India.
“It was worth visiting the festival which was a wonderful platform for networking and understanding the new discoveries in different fields,” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador (Champion) of Wales to India.
Graced by thought leaders, industry experts, entrepreneurs and scientists from various industries, the festival paved the way for further bilateral collaboration between both nations by exploring and exploiting emerging technologies.

Workshop by Music Director Andrew Fryer at AAFT



Noida: The AAFT School of Cinema organized a film & music workshop for all those students who are keen in learning music for Cinema and its technics. An international star Andrew Fryer Dean of the School of Film, Music and Performing Arts at Leeds Beckett University took the workshop.

“Andrew Fryer is a songwriter and music producer with 20 years of experience in the music industry, working for Warner Chappell Music, Polydor Records, BBC TV and Radio, film production companies, numerous independent record labels, as well as building and running his own recording studios,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

Andrew has engineered and produced over 5,000 songs, working with artists across all musical genres, including Chaka Kahn, Jeff Beck, Billy Bragg, The James Brown Band, David Heneker, Blak Twang, David Arnold, John Hegley, Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), The Stupids and John Shuttleworth. As a songwriter, he has sold millions of copies of his music and won awards in the USA for his ‘Legends of the Celts’ album by Ceredwen.

Film projects Andrew has worked on include The Full Monty, Love Actually and The First Film (the story of the first cinematographer, the Leeds-based Louis Le Prince). He lectures internationally on aspects of Film, Music and Performing Arts. As a descendent of the Shakespearian actor, Edward Juby, he performed with the Romanian National Theatre at the Sibiu International Festival of Theatre in June 2016 and 2017, and at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2017 with Richard Demarco.

"What a great pleasure to be in India and teaching Indian students at AAFT. I found students at AAFT very intelligent and enthusiastic to learn," said Andrew who  is also  a Board member of Phoenix Dance Theatre, the Leeds Dance Partnership, the Yorkshire Screen Hub and a founder member of UK Music Academic Partnership.

British Parliamentarian Honored at Marwah Studios

New Delhi: On the invitation of Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and President of AAFT-Marwah Studios, British delegation visited Noida Film City to see for them selves how this city has emerged as one of the fastest growing film city of the World.

The delegation was lead by Bob Blackman Member Parliament, a member of several All Party Parliamentary Groups, including ones associated with Israel, India, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Croatia, the USA and the UAE.

 Bob Blackman was accompanied by founder of Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK- H.H. RajRajeshwar Guru Ji, Chairman of City of London Police Federation Mike Reed, Police Commander Simon Owen, Councillor of Harrow Council Ajay Maru, Assistant Director Home Affairs Richard Lederleand and many important people from England.

Recently the most prestigious award as ‘Ambassador of Peace’ was handed over to Sandeep Marwah who had flown all the way from New Delhi, India to London UK to receive his award. Bob Blackman presented this award to marwah in House of Common at British Parliament. Bob is also a Co-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Justice for Equitable Life Policy Holders, is now Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Smoking and Health an also leads the All Party Parliamentary Group for British Hindus.

“I was delighted to honor Marwah who has spent years and years of his life in spreading love, peace and unity in the World through arts and culture. Sandeep Marwah has proved to be an achiever. I am thankful to all of you for giving me this noble job to perform,” said Bob Blackman at the event hosted at Noida Film City.

“I was thoroughly impressed and obelized by the style and the respect showered on me by calling me to House of Commons in British Parliament. I pay my gratitude to the host Bob Blackman and British Government for considering me for Ambassador of Peace Award. This has added a lot to India and British relations. It has motivated me to do more in the same direction,” said Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace And Development And Research Foundation.

 Later Marwah honored all the members of the delegation by presenting them the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Centre.
