ICMEI Congratulates Ashok Tyagi on Launching of New Film RED

Ashok Tyagi's New Film RED Launched at Mumbai

Noida: “I on behalf of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to Ashok Tyagi and his complete team of feature film RED on its launching on pre Deepawali Day. I am sure the film which is the first formal Mahurat  after lockdown will bring some wonderful colours to the industry,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI while talking to the press.

RED – a film by ASHOK TYAGI was launched in Mumbai on Dhateras (13 th November) at “Heaven on Earth” in Mumbai,  with the unveiling of the logo of RED. The event cum celebration was attended by a large gathering of the media and entertainment industry.

Avanti Arts P Ltd and Prajakta Films ‘ RED starring KRUSHNA ABHISHEK, PAYAL GHOSH, ABHIJIT SHWETCHANDRA, KANCHAN BHOR and above all SHAKTI KAPOOR is produced by RAJEEV CHAUDHARI and REKHA SURENDRA JAGTAP and is co – produced by JAGANNATH WAGHMARE and CHANDRAKANT PAWAR.

RED is a very sensational and emotional thriller which will enthral the multiplex audience in the first quarter of 2021. The film with music by HRIJU ROY, thrills by PAPPU VERMA and cinematography by AKRAM KHAN is scheduled for shooting from 27th November 2020 onwards

Noida Film City Most Appropriate For Film Productions Post Covid 19

New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized a webinar to discus the new opportunity created by Covid 19 for film makers to use Delhi-Noida as the second centre for film productions in India after Mumbai.

“We saw this dream many years back and a film city was created with every possible technique available for pre production, production and post production. Record number of programs including feature films, advertising films, corporate films, television serials, Documentaries and everything to do with news and current affairs have been produced here so far. Noida film city offering every need of the producer, director, cinematographer and post production now. You just have to make your mind to be here with us in Noida,” said Sandeep Marwah founder of film city and president of ICMEI.

“We would like to create Noida Film City as the hub of Hindi and regional cinema which can comfortably include Punjabi Cinema, Haryanvi Cinema, Himachali Cinema, Rajasthani Cinema, Bhojpuri and many other lovable languages from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttrakhand, can also be part of it. We have tried many times but now it is the time to go in a big way,” said Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.

I am already impressed by the infrastructure, facilities and a massive cooperation from the people when you shoot a feature film here. I have completed my Haryanavi Film and would love to do my next also here,” said Yashpal Sharma Producer Actor from Mumbai.

Renowned faces from the industry Actor Model Anchor Yash Gera, Sudhanshu Pandey, Shweta Padda from Mumbai showed their excitement and approve the idea of coverting Noida Film city into a hub centre for feature films., popular actor from Delhi Shreshtha Banerjee offered her full cooperation in supporting the issue.

Sandeep Marwah informed that feature films like Sahi Kaha Tumne, Aaghat, Nimantran, Prashan, Coffee House, Arial and few more have been produced by Marwah Films And Video Production earlier.

Media And Entertainment Industry Back on Its Feet- Sandeep Marwah


Webinar by ICMEI- M & E Industry Back On Its Feet


New Delhi: A webinar was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to discuss the effects of lockdown and planning to open the different segments of industry in next few days.

“Media and Entertainment Industry is the sixth biggest industry in the country with almost turn over of Rs 2,35,000 crores. Around 10 million workers are working in this industry. M& E also supports another ten million people  of associated industry like hospitality, Tourism, travel, transport, engineering, fashion & design etc. ,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI at a webinar with the topic ‘M&E Industry Back on Its Feet’.

“M&E includes Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Events, Music and Theme Parks. The worst effected is the cinema when 10,000 theatres are closed and 1.5 crore customers are feeling let down every day. The industry has   occurred a loss of Rs 6000 crores in these 60 days,” added Dr. Marwah.

“I extend my heartiest thanks to few very nice people of the industry who all have gone out of way to support lakhs of  daily wages workers of the industry. The migration of these workers means much delay in opening the gates of cinema. The industry cannot function without their support,” said B.N. Tewari President FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees.

“We are thankful to all the media persons who all have been working in the most risky environment and working for television and new media and making M&E industry move further,” We are anxiously waiting for the decision to get into the job but ample precautions now have to be taken at the time of shooting. New changes have to be brought down right from writing to production,”said Virendra Saxena renowned theatre, film and TV artist.,”

Indian film industry also has to live with Carona and it has to start with new norms. We, as an industry, have been supporting Government in every issue, Now Government should take care of needy today. We are sure we all will be out of it very soon,” said Gajendra Chauhan renowned actor and former Chairperson FTII Pune.

Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks and requested all to be on their toes to start the shootings and completion of last films. Only enthusiasm is the key to success. The session was followed by question answers.

New Delhi: A powerful webinar was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on the current subject of Development New Policies in Post Covid-19 Period to be addressed by the Ambassadors of Vietnam and Armenia.

The effect of Covid-19 and lockdown is not only physical but it has also hampered Human being mentally, spiritually and definitely economically. Millions of people have lost their jobs, most of the industries are on reverse gare, Tourism, Hospitality, Travel, Education, Automobile, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Retail industry are in a bad shape. Human nature and thinking also have changed in these sixty days,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“The earth had been encroached by Human being, probably It is a lesson to human from Mother Earth that enough is enough. The most of the industries have to take a new turn to plan and design different products and services with keeping in mind the new thinking which has developed during Covid-19,” said H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India appreciating role of Indian Government in supporting many nations during these international crises.  Digitization is going to take over many industries he added.

“It a pleasure to express that Vietnam is the first country in the World which has come out of the clutches of Covid-19. 217 got infected and 214 recovered and no deaths so far. We have opened our economy and slowly coming back to normal. We have learned that we have to be independent in our supplies to feed the demands of our population as international trade will take a large time to be normal,” said Pham Sanh Chau Ambassador of Vietnam to India expressing that Vietnam is now going to promote internal tourism in big way.

Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI expressed his views in short and extended vote of thanks to the celebrity guests. The session was followed by question answers and many new points came on the table.

Webinar on Effect of Covid 19 on Indian Cinema


New Delhi:  More than 100 delegated participated in the Webinar organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on the topic- Effect of Covid 19 on Indian Cinema.

“Media and Entertainment Industry is the 6th biggest industry in the country. We are touching now 2,35, 000 crore rupees turnover. It employees Ten million people and another ten million are connected through associated industries like hospitality, tourism, transport, engineering, fashion, design etc. We are the largest film industry of the World. 2600 Films are produced every year in 28 languages. 11000 theatres and 15 million audiences every day look for cinemas in theatre. Can you imagine we are in doldrums,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We are loosing 150 crore rupees revenue every day and estimated loss may be by now is approximately 4000 crores. The real outlets of Indian Cinema that is theatres are now closed for almost 45 days. This has also delayed the release of many films,” said Pankuj Parashar renowned film director known for his films like Jalwa, Chaalbaaz, Banares.

“The fact is that there is no shooting and millions of people are sitting idle in hope. God knows when this whole pandemic is going to be over. Probably we have to live with it and adjust ourselves according to this emerging new situation,” added Shashi Ranjan well known actor, producer and director famous for Dhoom Dharaka, Dobara. Etc.

“Never ever something like this happened. We are all learning with situation. I am also worried for the daily wagers who are only connected to Indian Film Industry and they are in millions. The fact is there is no flow of money from any corner,” expressed Vimal Kumar film Director Ashiqui Dewangi, Rajajaji, Chotte Sarkar etc.

“We are hoping that things will improve by august or September and the hustle and bustle will start slowly and gradually in the main Hindi and regional cinema too. We still have to look for better ways of shooting in the most controlled manner,” said Sukhwant Dhadda director of film like Chooriyan, Ek Chadar Malli Si, Siyasat, etc.

“We are still taken aback by the situation. No one is dare enough to take a chance. Films in India are star based. If stars are not comfortable probably we all have to wait till that time,” added Atul Mohan editor Complete Cinema.

“I am ready to take the first step by finalizing small unit, after all the required covid 19 test. It has to be single location story with limited cast and crew. I am sure this will be a fruitful exercise,” added Ashok Tyagi Director of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Surkhiyan, Return of Jewel Thief.

An Interaction With Film Maker Ashok Tyagi at AAFT University


Raipur: “The most sacred places on earth are Jerusalem for Christianity, Mecca Medina for Islam, Triputi Balaji for Hindus, Golden Temple for Sikhism and Raipur is gong to be the most spiritual place for film makers of the World in no time,” said Ashok Tyagi a well known film maker fro Mumbai at Raipur.

“We are here to support each and every student of AAFT University to fulfill his or her desire to be in films, television and media. Learn well and there is no looking back. We have one man industry Dr. Marwah as our patron to support for every thing,” added Ashok Tyagi.

A master class was planned by the University for Ashok Tyagi to share first hand experiences of his forty year involvement in Indian Film Industry.

Ashok Tyagi also proposed to have a film festival at Raipur soon in association with Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Ashok Tyagi is the director of feature films like Surkhiyan, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Derd E Disco, Return of Jewel Thief, Riyasat, Andher Gardi etc.

14th Indo US Economic Summit at Hyatt Regency


New Delhi: The 14th Indo US Summit closed with the segment on Media and Entertainment under the chairmanship of renowned international media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.

The session emphasized on Multiplying Screens of Popular Cinema. Sandeep Marwah took the initiative and briefed audience with the statistics of Indian Cinema in comparison to US Cinema.

Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, renowned director from Mumbai Vivek Agnihotri, well known writer from Mumbai Bharti S. Pradhan, Regional Vice President IACC Aseem Chawla, Head Motion Picture Association of America Lohita Suiith and Vice President Delhi State and Spokesperson Bhartiya Janta Party Shazia Ilmi discussed the subject in detail and expressed their views on the subject.

Later Summit Chair & Executive Vice President Indo-American Chamber of Commerce Dr.Lalit Bhasin presented memento to the entire guest and closed the session by thanking all the speakers on the dice.

Screen Writing Workshop By Aryaan Singh At ASMS

The renowned actor and writer Aryaan Singh shared his vast experience of films and television writing with the students of Asian School of Media Studies invited by Ashok Tyagi dean Cinema.

“The bigger the experience better and easy it is to write variety for the medium” said Sandeep Marwah while introducing the writer Aryan Singh of feature film Padmini, Kuch Toh Hua Hai, Teenagers, Its Rocking Dard Disco, Dil Ya Bil, The Lost Country and TV serials like Narad News Network, Angrezi Mein Kahate Hain, Har Mard Pe, Sabse Bara Rupaiya, Jhoota Kahin Ka and Mad House.

“What ever you can write, you must write that is the first principal of writing in case you want to become the writers “ said Aryaan Singh. “Today every director has to be a writer to give his best” he added. Aryaan answered to all the questions of cinema students.
