12th February Will Be Celebrated International Day of Journalism


International Journalism Centre Presents Global Festival of Journalism


Dubai: “We are planning for the sixth Global Festival of Journalism on 12th February 2018. International Journalism Centre will be the host and I am happy that the concept has picked up so well,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre at Hotel Address Boulevard at Dubai while talking to the press.

Seven years back Sandeep Marwah declared 12th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no date marked for the journalism in the United Nations calendar. It has been now seven years this concept has picked up very well and much organization all over the World started celebrating 12th February as the International Day of Journalism.

Global Festival of Journalism is planned to celebrate this great day and Marwah Studios has taken initiative to start this festival in India. Asian Academy of Film And Television and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry is going to support the cause of Journalism.

Sandeep Marwah Nominated Director of Asian School of Communication




Sandeep Marwah is a renowned international media personality, the founder of Asian Academy of Film & Television & Asian School of Media Studies, has been nominated as Director of Asian School Of Communication, a school promoted by Asian Society of Film And Television and University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom to honor British Degree in India.

Sandeep Marwah has been instrumental in establishing the Film City of North India in Noida. He has so far been associated with the production of more than 3500 TV programmes and 125 feature films for over 100 production companies and more than 50 television channels using the facilities of the world renowned Marwah Studios.

Sandeep Marwah has the unique distinction of having trained over 9000 media persons hailing from 28 states, 7 union territories of India and 82 countries across the world. He has a world record of producing the largest number of short films (1800) in the past 18 years.

Sandeep Marwah is also the recipient of a number of national and international awards for his outstanding contribution to media education and training. He is widely respected by the film fraternity across the world. He is associated with large number of National and International Media Organization. He is the President of International Film & Television Club, the Chairperson of International Film & Television Research Centre and the Honorary Cultural Ambassador of Wales in India.

Electronic Media--The Most Attractive Medium-Sandeep Marwah

“With the sanctioning of another 100 Television channels and 100 Radio Stations by Ministry Of Information And Broadcasting, Government of India the electronic media has not only become the biggest , broader but the most attractive medium of media” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios chairing the seminar on ‘Class Room To News Room’ organized by the department of electronic media and journalism of Asian School Of Media Studies.

Present on the occasion the speakers and panelist Amarnath Amar (Doordarshan), Darin Shaidi (CNN-IBN), Frenklin Nigam (IANS TV), G.P.Selvam (CCTV), Prasanjit De (CTV), S.Rangabashiam (Doordarshan), Sanjay Singh (CNEB), Shishir Sinha (Hindu), Vinod Mishra (ANI), Vivian Fernadez (CNBC& TV 18) gave their suggestions on how to improve the education in electronic media also to make it more effective, practical and job oriented. They all highlighted the basic and major problems faced by the recruiting agencies. Many also shared their experience and narrated case studies of all that happened with them during their entry into the industry.

R.K.Singh Jt. Director ASMS highlighted on the most impressive and expensive syllabus of AAFT, ASMS and Asian School of Communication. Om Gupta dean coordinated the program, Sushil Bharti HOD Television, Anubhav Mathur HOD Radio and Om Prakash HOD New Media assisted the show.

Workshop On Investigative Journalism By Vineet Narayan At AAFT

“The orientation program of Asian Academy Of Film And Television provides a wonderful opportunity to students to interact with large number of media professional in short period of time” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director AAFT. “It relates students to the industry in no time” Marwah added.

Vineet Narayan a renowned journalist popularly known for his first investigative videos news series Kalchakra and editor for many newspapers said,” the need to know and zest to explore can only make you a powerful journalist” he also added that “ to reach to the bottom of the story can only give finishing touches to the whole investigative journalism”.

The session was attended by the students of all the discipline. Later Sandeep Marwah honored Narayan with the membership of International Film And Television Club.

Acting Workshop By TV Star Vaishnavi at AAFT

“Nothing moves unless and until you put your efforts and have positive thinking about your work” said Vaishnavi popularly known for her feature film Ladla with Anil Kapoor Veerana, Bumbai Ka babu, Danveer and popular serial like Shaktiman, Saturday Suspence, Sapno Se Bhare Naina, Karmyudh etc.interacting with the students of Acting at School of Performing Arts at AAFT.

“We need to talk to working professionals at acting institute so that students can relate them selves to the industry in short period of time” added Joy Shree Arora a renowned artist known for her historical roles in Hum Log, Buniyaad and as mother of Shahrukh khan in different films and serials now Dean Acting at School Of Performing Arts at AAFT.

AAFT Has Proved To The World-Saad Mohmaud Shama

Introducing the guest on the dice Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT appreciated the contribution and support he has been getting from the Entertainment Industry of many countries. “I am thankful to all those who have even contributed a single day at AAFT, are the part of our family. American Film Maker Tom Shepard At Marwah Studios



It was another occasion where Sandeep Marwah took the opportunity to invite an American Documentary film maker Tom Shepard to Marwah Studios to have a workshop and interaction with the faculty of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Business School at Noida Film City.

“Being the Chairperson of Indo American Chamber of Commerce Entertainment and Media Committee I feel it is important to bridge the gap between the film makers of two countries.” said Sandeep Marwah while introducing Tom Shepard the film maker, Thomas White the Editor of famous magazine ‘Documentary’, cultural affairs officer, Embassy of The United States of American Lydia Barraza and Supriya Suri of Cine Darbar.

“Documentaries can be very interesting by adding story to it’s subject” said Tom Shepard who also presented his award winning film ‘Scouts Honor’. Tom has also produced and directed other documentary films like ‘Knocking’, ‘Voting in America’, ‘Spark’ and ‘listening To America’.

The jury member at many International Film Festivals and writer with The Hollywood Reporter, Varity International Film Guide, Indie Wire and Film Arts Thomas White clarifies many doubts of film makers and added” we need more festivals like Sundance Film Festival to promote documentaries”

Marwah later presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club to the honorable guests. The event was supported by Radio Noida, International Film And Television Research Centre and International Public Broadcasting Forum.
