Sandeep Marwah Nominated as Chair for Indo Georgian Relations

Noida: A well-known cultural Tycoon Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated by the Ambassador of Georgia to India, Government of Georgia as the Chair of Indo Georgian Film And Cultural Forum at the grand function at Noida Film City.

I am pleased and honored to nominate and appoint an internationally known Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo Georgian Film And Cultural forum. He is not only well connected to the world of culture but most effective worker. His presence will enhance relations of Georgia with India,” said H.E. Archil Dzulidashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India.

Earlier Ambassador inaugurated formally Indo Georgian Film And Cultural Forum by launching the poster of Indo Georgian Film And Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios.

“It is my honor to be designated as the Chair for such an important forum by the Government of Georgia. It has added another feather in my cap and additional responsibility on my shoulders,” said Sandeep Marwah

Noida: H.E. Archil Dzuilidashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India is now Patron to Indo Georgian Film And Cultural Forum recently formed by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to promote and develop trade between two countries.
“I am pleased to be the Patron of the organization. I know the dynamism of Sandeep Marwah, this forum is going to wonders in no time,” said H.E. Archil while accepting the patron ship of IGFCF.

 In 2011, Archil was appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab Republic of Syria. In 2012 he became the first Georgian Ambassador to Tunisia and Libya (with residence in Cairo, Egypt).

In 2011, he was assigned as the first Permanent Observer of Georgia to the African Union and in 2012, he was awarded the status of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the League of Arab States (with residence in Cairo, Egypt).

In 2016, he served as Ambassador at large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and in June 2016 he was appointed as Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of India, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. On July 24, 2017, Archil Dzuliashvili was appointed as Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Maldives (with residence in New Delhi).

ICMEI Launched Indo Georgia Film And Cultural Forum


Indo Georgia Film And Cultural Forum Launched at AAFT


Noida: The first ever film and cultural forum of Country of Georgia in India was launched here at the International Head quarters of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“I am pleased and honored to inaugurate Indo Georgia Film And Cultural Forum            on this auspicious day of Dhanteras of Indian calendar and  I am sure that we will do   better from today onwards in our relations with India,” said H.E.  Archil Dzuliashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India while releasing the poster of IGFCF at ICMEI at Noida Film City.

“We have achieved a lot today by inaugurating Indo Georgia Film And Cultural Forum. Many ideas are there to execute under this forum including Scholarship to deserving student from Georgia, Festival of films from Georgia, students exchange program, institutional tie ups etc.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing to the media persons at the launching function.

H.E. Archil Dzuliashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair for Indo Georgian Film And Cultural Forum and congratulated him for bringing ICMEI to Georgia. On the other hand Sandeep Marwah requested the Ambassador to be the Patron of the organization.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented a life membership of International Film And Television Cub of AAFT to H.E. Archil Dzuliashvili along with memento of patron ship  of IGFCF.

Nana Gaprindashvili Senior Counsellor Embassy of Georgia, Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of the Chamber, Col. Pradeep Gupta Director Journalism ICMEI, Amir Abdullah Director Cinema ICMEI and Sushil Bharti Director Broadcasting were also present there. MSTV and Radio Noida covered the event for the medium.

ICMEI and Embassy of Georgia , Government of Georgia will work together on the subjects and industries like  films, television, media, tourism, hospitality, animation, fashion, design, management, performing arts, environment, skill development and solar energy.

India Will Join Hands With Georgia In Film Business

62nd Cannes Film Festival has proved a wonderful platform for Indian Film Maker Sandeep Marwah to announce a joint ventures with the film makers of Georgia when he was invited by the Minister of Cultural, Monuments Protection and sports of Georgia Nicholas Rurua to Georgia to look for himself the growing demand of film and TV business in their country.

Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios and Director of First private film school of India, Asian Academy Of Film And TV (AAFT) offered student exchange, faculty exchange programs along with the joint ventures to produce short film with the film and TV students of Georgian film School when he was representing India in the meeting of International delegates held by the Georgian Minister Nicholas Rurua at 62nd Cannes Film Festival at Majestic Hotel. Marwah offered scholarship to the students of Georgia to come to India to learn about Indian Film Industry to strengthen the relation between two countries.

“It is very necessary to take initiative to invite important film makers from Georgia to India to develop new relationship between two countries. Films are the best way to exchange culture.” said Sandeep Marwah, who is the World record holder of producing largest number of short films.

“We are very keen to join hands with Indian Film Industry, which is largest in the World and exchange programs and education with Marwah Studios is the right start.” Added Nicholas Rurua.

The meeting was also attended by Konstantin chlaidze the General Director of Georgian National Film Centre, David Vashadze the manager Research and Development, Georgian National Film Centre, Guka Rcheulishvili, the film maker from Georgia and many others including Archll Menagarishvili , Dy Director , Georgian Films.
