AAFT Celebrates Rajat Arora’s Success At Apsara Awards


This is not the first time that the alumnae of Asian Academy Of Film And Television has been appreciated at National Level for their creativity in the field of films and television, when Rajat Arora got his APSARA AWARD for BEST SCREEN PLAY for ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI in the auditorium full of who’s who from Indian Film Industry at Mumbai during the sixth edition of the award ceremony constituted by Film And Television Producers Guild.

“We are proud of Rajat Arora who has added another feather in the cap of the institute, and made us feel that good education and hard work will never go waste” said Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian Academy Of Film And Television appreciating the writing caliber of his student.

The other nominees for the same category of Best Screen Play were Anjum Rajabali & Prakash Jha for Raajneeti, Habib Faisal for Band Baaja Baraat, Vishal Bharadwaj, Abhishek Chaubey & Sabrina Dhawan for Ishqiya, Abhishek Sharma for Tere Bin Laden, Kanu Behl & Dibakar Banerjee for Love Sex Aur Dhokha.

Rajat Arora has been in Industry for many years now and has written some of the best projects for the entertainment world including ‘Ahhsas’, ‘Blue’, ‘Chandni Chowk to China’, ‘ Kabhi Bhi Kahin Bhi’, ‘Taxi No 9211’, ‘Hattrick’ , ‘Bluff Master’, ‘Family Ties of Blood’ etc.

AAFT Alumni Rajat Arora Appreciated By The Industry




MUmbaai’ Rajat Arora alumni of World renowned film school Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City has been very well appreciated by the industry and media.

“Rajat Arora has penned an interesting story and padded it up with a highly engrossing screenplay that doesn’t let the viewer lose grip for even a moment. Arora’s dialogues, of course, are absolutely fantastic, many of them clapworthy” said Komal Nahta

Rajat Arora has already written earlier for ‘Blue’ ‘Chandni Chowk to China’, ‘ Kabhi Bhi Kahin Bhi’, ‘Taxi No 9211’, ‘Hattrick’ , ‘Bluff Master’, ‘Family Ties of Blood’ etc.

“I remember when he wrote his first film ‘Aahsas’ in AAFT I was amazed by his capacity and capabilities. I was forced to start a film for him that time” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian Academy of Film And television. The institute has announced a special award for his contribution to the industry.
