World Sports Journalists Day Celebrated at ICMEI

Noida: “We are very happy and excited to speak out once again our international record in sports to all the journalists present here to celebrate World Sports Journalist Day which falls on 2nd July every year,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Journalism Centre talking to the press & students of journalism designed by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“We, at AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism, have a special cell where we talk about sports journalism and try to prepare sports journalists out of the large number of students who apply for journalism. We do give them an opportunity to be part of sports event for the coverage.

Marwah Studios has a deep interest in sports and other related activities including our own annual national level sports event-Ethleema, sports bulletin at Radio Noida, Radio Raipur, even MSTV also covers the sports event.

The students of AAFT covered many sports event including one which was biggest in the country i.e. xix Commonwealth Games in 2010 right from Wagah Boarder to Nehru Stadium and clicked 10,000 pictures, 1000 hour of film making, 102 radio programs, 102 short films in 102 days and created a World Record.

World Press Freedom Day Observed at International Journalism Centre

New Delhi: The mother body of many journalistic organizations-IJC-International Journalism Centre observed World Press Freedom Day on 3rd May, the day off its inception by United Nations.

This  online Conference provided an opportunity to journalists, civil society representatives, national authorities, academics and the broader public to discuss emerging challenges to press freedom and journalists’ safety, and to work together on identifying solutions.

Speaking at the conference Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre informed that, “This year’s World Press Freedom Day theme “Information as a Public Good” serves as a call to affirm the importance of cherishing information as a public good, and exploring what can be done in the production, distribution and reception of content to strengthen journalism, and to advance transparency and empowerment while leaving no one behind,”

International Journalism Centre will highlight three key topics a. Steps to ensure the economic viability of news media, b. Mechanisms for ensuring transparency of Internet companies, c. Enhanced Media and Information Literacy  capacities that enable people to recognize and value, as well as defend and demand, journalism as a vital part of information as a public good added Marwah.

The event was supported by ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism and WPDRF-World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

International Journalism Centre Announces 9th Global Festival of Journalism 2021

Global Festival of Journalism Announced by International Journalism Centre

New Delhi: The Central Committee of IJC-International Journalism Centre declared the dates of next event that is 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021. The Committee meeting took place at Marwah Studios at its international Head Quarters under the leadership of Global President Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“We are pleased to announce the dates of next Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021 as 12th to 14th February 2021. February 12th is an International Day of Journalism, 13th is a World Radio Day and 14th is Valentines Day. It has been nine years we have been working on this grand international event to attract the attention of journalists from all over the World,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

International Journalism Centre was created with the aim and objectives to start a community radio station, a community television station, a newspaper to give news on art and culture, to enrol journalist associations as its members, to look into the interest and needs of journalists to promote positive and constructive journalism. It also aims to educate & promote young aspirants in the profession of journalism.
