Noida, India – The AAFT School of Photography proudly presented an Exhibition of Still Photography as part of the 17th Global Film Festival at Marwah Film City, Noida. The exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria, and Hon. Jagannath Sarkar, Member of Parliament. The event celebrated the creative talents and artistic vision of the students from AAFT School of Photography.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder-President of AAFT, highlighted the significance of still photography as a powerful storytelling medium. He said and explained, “Photography captures moments that words sometimes fail to express. It is an art that preserves history, emotions, and memories. I am proud of the AAFT students for showcasing their exceptional talent and creativity in this exhibition.”

H.E. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria, commended the students for their remarkable work and shared his appreciation for the exhibition. He said, “Photography transcends cultural boundaries and serves as a universal language. The talent displayed here reflects a deep understanding of the art form and its ability to inspire and connect people.”

Seminar on ‘Should Biopics Be Made on Women?’ Held During the 17th Global Film Festival Noida

Noida, India – The 17th Global Film Festival Noida hosted a thought-provoking seminar on the topic ‘Should Biopics Be Made on Women?’ The seminar brought together a diverse group of distinguished personalities who shared their insights and perspectives on the subject

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder-President of AAFT, emphasized the importance of honoring women through biopics, stating, “India has always been a leader, giving the world some of its most powerful women. Figures like Rani Laxmi Bai, Indira Gandhi, Dr. Sarojini Naidu, and our current President, H.E. Draupadi Murmu, continue to inspire millions across the globe. Biopics are a vital medium to revisit history and serve as a source of motivation for generations to come.”

Hon. Jagannath Sarkar, Member of Parliament, expressed his views on the significance of biopics in showcasing the strength and achievements of women throughout history. Dr. Faridoddin Faridasr, Cultural Counsellor of Iran, highlighted the global relevance of such stories and their role in promoting gender equality and cultural appreciation. H.E. Dr. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria, spoke about the importance of women’s representation in media and cinema as a means to inspire change and progress.

Yanytzel Karina Duarte, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Panama, shared her perspective on how biopics bring the struggles and triumphs of women leaders to light, encouraging the younger generation to dream big and break barriers. Aakanksha Marwaha, representing the Film & Event Fraternity, emphasized the need for the film industry to focus on authentic storytelling that celebrates women’s accomplishments.

Vidhushi Makhijani, Model & Social Media Influencer, added that biopics serve as powerful tools to challenge stereotypes and inspire women to pursue their aspirations. Bhavna Agarwal, Content Creator, Model & Influencer, noted that biopics can educate and empower audiences while preserving the legacy of iconic women for future generations.

The seminar underscored the transformative impact of biopics in bringing women’s stories to the forefront, inspiring millions, and fostering a culture of respect, admiration, and empowerment. The audience also participated in the session. Neelam Sharma, Media Personality, Anuj Verma, Hospitality Veteran, Ashok Tyagi, Renowned Film Director also spoke on the subject.

Culinary Delights from Algeria, Chad, Kyrgyzstan and Palestine at 12th GFJN

Noida, India – February 20, 2024 – The 12th Festival of Journalism Noida 2024, hosted by the International Journalism Centre at Marwah Studios, embraced cultural diversity and gastronomic exploration with a special segment featuring cuisine from Algeria, Chad, Kyrgyzstan and Palestine. The inauguration of this unique culinary experience was graced by esteemed dignitaries including H.E. Dr. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria; Dr. Abu Al Jazer, Media Advisor of the Embassy of Palestine; and Her Excellency Dillah Lucienne, Ambassador of Chad.

Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Journalism Centre and the 12th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2024, emphasized the significance of integrating food into cultural festivities, noting that no culture is complete without its culinary traditions. This initiative aims to foster closeness among diverse communities worldwide, promoting understanding and appreciation of different cultures through the universal language of food.

The event attracted a diverse array of guests from the media industry and various walks of life, who had the opportunity to savor delectable dishes prepared by students of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism.

In addition to celebrating culinary diversity, the festival also served as a platform to promote cultural exchange and diplomatic relations through the Indo-Algeria Film and Culture Forum, Indo-Palestine Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Kyrgyzstan Film and Cultural Forum and Indo-Chad Film and Cultural Forum. These forums, established by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, aim to strengthen ties between India and these countries through the arts and culture.

Expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to showcase the cuisine of their respective countries, Dr. Ali Achoui, H.E. Dillah Lucienne, and Abu Al Jazer proposed expanding and enhancing this culinary segment in future editions of the festival.

Sandeep Marwah Special Guest at Algerian National Day[


64th National Day of Algeria Celebrated


New Delhi: A grand party was organized by the Embassy of Algeria in India on the occasion of National Day of Algeria at Hotel Leela in New Delhi.

Large number of Ambassadors and High Commissioners attended the get together. Renowned businessmen, socialites and other friends of Algeria were part of the large group.

“I on behalf of all  the members of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry   extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Hamza Yahia-Cherif, Ambassador  of Algeria to India and the people of Algeria on the national day. I wish that friendship of India and Algeria   grow to the highest level,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI who was the special guest at the celebration.

R.K.Singh the Union Minister for State, Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Government of India was the chief guest on the National Day of Algeria.
