AAFT Showcases the Rich Culinary Heritage of Palestine and Iraq at the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025

Noida: The AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism celebrated the diverse flavors of Palestine and Iraq during the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 at Marwah Studios, Film City. This unique cultural initiative was inaugurated by veteran journalist Dr. Waiel S.H. Awwad, representing the India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture.

The event provided an immersive culinary experience, bringing authentic Middle Eastern cuisine to the forefront. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the rich flavors, spices, and traditional dishes that define the Palestinian and Iraqi food culture.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Waiel S.H. Awwad emphasized the role of food in fostering cultural connections: Cuisine is an expression of history, heritage, and identity. This initiative by AAFT not only introduces people to the flavors of Palestine and Iraq but also strengthens cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Journalism Centre and Marwah Studios, highlighted AAFT’s commitment to cultural diplomacy: “AAFT has always been a hub of global exchange, where education, art, and culture come together. By bringing the culinary traditions of Palestine and Iraq to this festival, we are furthering our mission of unity through diversity.”

The event was promoted by the Indo-Iraq Film and Cultural Forum and the Indo-Palestine Film and Cultural Forum, reinforcing AAFT’s vision of using food, film, and culture as bridges between nations.

With this initiative, the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025 continues to be a landmark event, celebrating global heritage and fostering international collaboration.

AAFT Showcases International Flair at 8th Global Fashion Week Noida 2024

Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, organized by AAFT, delivered an eclectic and truly international fashion experience during its second session. With numerous countries participating on the ramp, the event underscored the universal appeal of fashion.

Sandeep Marwah, President of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing the global unity and diversity represented through fashion.

The event was graced by distinguished guests of honor, including: H.E. Yasiel Alines Burillo Rivera, Ambassador, Embassy of Panama, Aji Fatoumatta Joof, First Secretary, High Commission of The Gambia, Saundarya Mehtani, Design Director, Ttrova Design, Sahiba Gurnani Wirk, Founder, Midori by SGV, Anit Nagpal, Director, Bang on Target PR and Media Solutions

Designers from AAFT displayed an impressive array of collections inspired by various cultures around the world: Devraj ,Bhawna and Rishita took Iraq as their subject, Fizza was showcasing garments inspired by the culture of Azerbaijan, Chestha went close to the country of Fiji,  Priyanka Chaudhary studied Cambodia for her presentation of garment range, Priya Pandey showcased garments impressed by Panama, Himanshu Patwa highlighted Myanmar through his range and  Armenian garments range was designed by Aastha, Shristi & Laiba, Anupam Priya.

A special highlight of the event was the launch of a Coffee Table Book titled “Zardozi,” designed by Anika Rai Sadh, a student of Fashion Communication at AAFT.

The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continues to set a high standard for international fashion, celebrating cultural diversity and creativity. This event not only showcased the talents of emerging designers but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the global fashion community.

The event was supported by Indo Armenia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Azerbaijan, Indo Cambodia, Indo Fiji, Indo Iraq, Indo Myanmar and Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry along with World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

National Day of Iraq Celebrated at ICMEI


Celebrated National Day of Republic of Iraq at Icmei


New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and Indian Media and Entertainment Industry take this opportunity to extend our heartiest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India and people of Iraq on the national day of Iraq which falls on 14th July,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry while celebrating the day on web.

 The bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of India have traditionally been friendly and collaborative. Cultural interaction and economic trade between Indus Valley and Mesopotamia date back to 1800 BCE. The 1952 Treaty of Friendship established and strengthened ties between contemporary India and Iraq. By the 1970s, Iraq was regarded as one of India's closest allies in the Middle East.

The formation of Indo Iraq film and Cultural Forum is a step to promote ties between two countries through art and culture. Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been Chairing the forum and ample has been done under his leadership.

Noida: H.E. Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India is now Patron of newly formed Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Embassy of Iraq in India.

“We are elevated with the presence of H.E. Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India and charged with new energy to work for the development and promotion of relations between India and Iraq under his great leadership as the patron to the association,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI in a program to launch Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum. at Noida Film City.

“This is the right start to promote our relations with India from the grass root level when on the very first day we have involved the young generation into our account. This is the most effective way to build a new bridge of art and culture between the two countries,” said Dr, Falah Abdulhasan accepting the Patronship of the forum. He was accompanied with Sarmad Dilshad Aioob the Second Secretary in Embassy of Iraq.

Noida: Renowned film, television and media person Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been honored and nominated as the Chair for newly formed Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum.

“We here by nominate   Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair for Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum. We have full confidence that under the leadership of Sandeep this forum will take us to new platform and both countries India and Iraq will be able to do better in their relations through arts and culture,” said Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India.

“I am lucky to be nominated Chair for IIFCF- Indo Iraq Film &  Cultural Forum.  We will leave no stone unturned to convert this new joint venture as one of the most famous center in India and abroad,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is five times World Record Holder, Founder of Noida Film City, founder president of Marwah Studios, and Asian Education Group. He is the recipient of largest number of national and international awards in India for his contribution to promotion of art and culture.

He is the managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited, Chair for India Skills Development Council, Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Organizations and recently again nominated by Government as the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts.

Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum Inaugurated at ICMEI


Noida: A first ever Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum has been created by the Embassy of   Iraq in India in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

In a grand function Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum was formally inaugurated by H E Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India to develop and promote relation between two countries through arts and culture in the presence of film, television, media art and cultural representatives of the industry.

“We believe that relations between two countries can be developed to new platform through arts and culture. We are now keen in exchanging our culture by launching a forum like this,” said H.E. Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India.

“This is another feather in the cap of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry with the opening of  new chapter on Iraq. We have already entertained people from Iraq earlier in our different international summits. It is a day of celebration,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

A poster was released to mark respect to the decision of launching of forum. Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented a project report on Iraq to Ambassador Prepared by the students of AAFT under Students Committee on Iraq.

Where Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada was presented with the memento for the Patronship of Indo Iraq Film And Cultural Forum, there Dr. Abdulhasan also horned and presented the responsibility of Chair of the forum to Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Soon ICMEI and Embassy of Iraq will sign MOU in coming days to strengthen the relation between two countries.

Sandeep Marwah Guest of Honor at First Iraqi Film Festival

New Delhi: Renowned film personality and President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah was guest of honor at the festival of films from Iraq at Habitat Centre.

“I on behalf of Indian Film Industry and ICMEI extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Falah Abdulhasan and his complete team for organizing the first ever film festival in India. Film is the best Ambassador of culture of any country. Iraq may not be a film producer of large films but Iraqi films has been acclaimed as good cinema and has brought many accolades and awards from International film festivals,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah also president of Marwah Studios.

“I feel honored in announcing a scholarship for the deserving student from Iraq to learn cinema in India. We are ready for joint production of short film with Iraqi director. I would love to present this festival in Noida Film City,” added Marwah thanking Embassy of Iraq for inviting him for first festival.

T.S. Trimurti Secretary Ministry of External Affairs Government of India, G. Parthasarthi former Ambassador and President of Habitat Centre along with many Ambassadors and High Commissioners, Diplomats, film lovers and cinemagoers were present there for the inauguration of the festival and the screening of first film ‘The Sands of Babylon’ in Arabic made in 2013 for 92 minutes Directed by Mohamed Al-Daradji. The program was coordinated by Deepak Kapoor.
