 New Delhi: Recently Dr. Sandeep Marwah was honored by a social organization Ramraj Environment for his contribution towards environment and deep involvement in supporting large number of organization to do the same at Sustainable Energy Conference at International Islamic Centre in a jam-packed auditorium.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been involved with Clean India, Green India, Clean Ganga, Clean Yanuma, Save Water, Gift A Tree, Plant Tree, Save Earth and many other programs at Marwah Studios and United Nations.

Ramraj Environment is a grassroots non-governmental organization founded in 2009 by service minded and dedicated youth of Gurgaon district in the state of Haryana. Limited social and economic development prompted a team to start this organization to address unmet needs in the community.
Since 2009, our Ngo has worked in various sectors such as Livelihood, Rural Development, Skill Development, Environment, Health, Women Empowerment and Employment.
“The idea is to improve the quality of life for oppressed, disadvantaged and marginalized people by making them skillful, educated and employed,” said Arun Yadav founder of the organization.

Noida: 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 honored some of the prominent journalist of the nation who have contributed a lot to this responsible profession during the three days of the festival at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

Global Excellence Award in Journalism for long tenure and honest working in this profession was handed over by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Journalism Centre to Senior Journalist Aashish Tiwari of Metro Editor of Amar Ujala, Amandeep Shukla Senior Assistant Editor of Hindustan Times, Madhuri Kalal Senior Journalist of Zee Hindustan, Ruman Ullah Khan Senior Reporter of News Nation, Parimal Kumar Senior Reporter of NDTV and Danish Khan Reporter of ABP. 

Rajkumari Tankha, Senior Assistant Editor with The Morning Standard, Vinod Sharma Special Correspondent (Political) at Navbharat Times, Krishan Ralhan Free lancer journalist, Mumtaz Journalist, Writer & Social Worker,  Shehnaz Free Lancer journalist,  Chandra Mohan Sharma Columnist at Navbharat Times & Sandhya Times,  Lal Singh Photo journalist at Amar Ujala, Mohd. Ilteja Usmani Columnist With ETV Bharat were also honored with Global Excellence Award in Journalism at the great event.

This time special slot was carved out for AAFTians who have done well in journalism and were also presented with Global Excellence award. Ajay Dubey Documentary Filmmaker, Kumar Raviraj Sinha Producer National Herald, Aishvarya Jain, Senior Correspondent of News Nation,  Shivang Mathur Special Correspondent at Dainik Jagran, and Shashank Yagnik Journalist with  AajTak were honored.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated IAWRT 16th Film Festival


New Delhi: Renowned Film, television and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios inaugurated the 16th edition of the IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival from March 5 to March 7 in New Delhi.

Fifty-one films from 15 Asian countries, all directed by women filmmakers, will be screened at the festival includes films from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Doha, Iran, India, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Taiwan, UAE and Turkey.

“Held every year in the run up to the International Women’s Day on March 8 by IAWRT, in partnership with the India International Centre (IIC) and ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-Marwah Studios, this non-competitive film festival has become a much sought after women-director-only festival in this region over the last 16 years,” said Nupur Basu, Managing Trustee, IAWRT, Chapter India.

“What a pleasure to be here with the most successful film makers and their creative works from all over the World. This festival is a glorious function during Women’s Day Week. I purpose radio and TV interviews of all the film makers present here on Radio Noida 107.4 Fm and MSTV so that many more should know about your achievements,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

This year the festival team received over 700 submissions. The selection pans the entire genre - feature length documentary films, short fiction and documentary films, animation films, experimental films and the themes range from citizenship, identity, migration, mental health, climate change and coming of age of girls.

“ What women are looking at is not gender alone but there is a distinct cinematic language that many women filmmakers are defining that allows for the audience to see afresh” said Surabhi Sharma Festival Director and Priya Thuvassery, the Co-Director of this edition of the festival.

This year’s BAFTA winner for Best Short animated Film by London based Iranian filmmaker, Maryam Mohajer ‘Grandad was a romantic’ was shown at the inauguration.

Noida: It was only last year when the management of International Journalism Centre constituted under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister, first ever Mahatma Gandhi National Award For Journalism for all those who all have contributed immensely in the field of journalism to mark respect to 12th February, the international Day of Journalism.

On the final day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 five prominent personalities from the profession of journalism were honored in grand function from the international platform of Marwah Studios. P. K. Bajaj of Mayapuri, Kumkum Chadha of Hindustan Times, U. S. Sonthalia of Fame India, Arvind Kumar Singh of Rajya Sabha TV and Ramesh Chandra of Zee TV were the recipients of this most prestigious National Award.

“I am much obelized for this award, this gesture has added a new energy into my system. I thank IJC for recognizing my efforts,” said P.K.Bajaj Publisher and Editor of the oldest film magazine Mayapuri.

“This is a total surprise to me. Now I feel my 40 years service to journalism years has been recognized. This is the best thing happened to me,” said Kumkum Chadha writer & senior journalist from Hindustan Times.

“Journalism is my passion. I always believe in positive journalism. This award is for my whole team who has been supporting me from years,” added U.S. Sonthalia publisher and Editor of Fame India.

“I have seen ample years in journalism. I worked in many national news papers . and ups and downs of journalism. Today I feel complete with this Mahatma Gandhi National Award,” said Arvind Kumar Singh from Rajya Sabha TV.

“Nothing is more encouraging and satisfying than recognition of your hard efforts. I am astonished with the size of award I have been honored with. I am feeling short of words in expressing my happiness, ”said Ramesh Chandra Senior journalism from Zee TV.

The event was attended by large number of filmmakers, journalists, students, and people from different strata of life from all over India and abroad.

The credit of announcing 12th February as International Day of Journalism goes to our association International Journalism Centre and we are the first one to start a journalism festival. The profession of journalism has lots of opportunities as well as challenges also,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IJC.

“Being a journalist is a responsible profession. Today journalism has become glamorous because of television and social media. It makes you celebrity. Every one wants to be journalist,” said H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India while inaugurating the seminar on Challenges and Opportunities in journalism on the 3rd day of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios.

Senior journalists like Data Ram Chamoli, Shivenra Kumar, Santosh Kumar Saras, Vipin Gaur General Secretary News Paper Association of India and C.M.Papne of Indian Express spoke on the subject and also interacted with the audience.

Later H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia along with other guests launched the new Calendar 2020-under the title ‘Ravishing Personalities’ designed by Seema Gumber of Zee TV fame followed by the release of news bulletin of the third day designed by the students of AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored and presented life membership of International Journalism Centre along with memento of festival to all the distinguished guests present on the dice. Dr. Sushil Bharti Broadcasting Director of Marwah Studios proposed vote of thanks.

We are sure that we will be able to work much better and faster under his leadership,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah presenting the memento to the Ambassador.

“I am pleased to receive the delegation from ICMEI and it is my honor to be associated with Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum. We will take our relations to higher platform through this forum. I am thankful to Dr. Marwah for the patron ship presented to me,” expressed H.E. Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India.

The Secretary General of ICMEI Ashok Tyagi, Coordinator of Indo Cambodia Chapter Vijay Laxmi Mishra and diplomats from the embassy were witness to the historical moment.  Soon Cambodia embassy will sign MOU with the chamber.
