22nd July – Foundation Day of AAFT was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the entire faculty and administrative team at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. Completing a glorious journey of 32 years in education since 1993, the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) continues to stand as a beacon of creativity and learning in the field of media and arts.

On this momentous occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder and President of AAFT, addressed the gathering and said: Education is the most powerful tool for transformation. Over the last three decades, AAFT has not only imparted skills but has shaped personalities, instilled values, and built careers. Our mission remains the same—to create global professionals who are passionate, skilled, and socially responsible. This milestone is a collective achievement, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every faculty member, staff, and supporter who has walked this journey with us.”

The celebration was marked by gratitude, inspiration, and renewed commitment to excellence in education.

The Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) recently hosted a momentous convocation ceremony at Marwah Studios Film City Noida, bidding farewell to the bright and talented students of the 2023 batch. The convocation celebrated the achievements of students from various disciplines, including the School of Fashion and Design, School of Interior Designing, School of Mass Communication and Journalism, School of Animation, and School of Data Science.

The passing results of the 2023 batch reflect commendable performance, continuing the trend of excellence that ASMS is known for. Addressing the graduating students, Sandeep Marwah, the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, congratulated them on their success and encouraged them to continue learning and growing in their respective fields.

“I am sure you will put all your sincere efforts and prove yourselves as the best students of Asian School of Media Studies. Keep learning and keep on growing. Be honest towards your profession; that will bring you success and recognition,” said Sandeep Marwah during the convocation.

Renowned writer Amit Aryan, known for his contributions to major TV projects like Tera Yaar Hun Main, Who Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle, F.I.R., Jeannie Aur Juju, Lajpatganj etc. and popular films like Do Knot Disturb, ABCD Anybody Can Dance, motivated the students and extended an invitation to explore opportunities in the growing Indian Film Industry, particularly in Mumbai.

Sarfraz Saifi, a distinguished journalist known for shows like “Rastravad” and “Rashtra Ki Awaz,” shared his inspirational journey with the students. During an interactive session, he answered questions and provided valuable insights into the media industry.

Pawnesh Pandey, an architect, business owner, and spokesperson of BJP, blessed the students and encouraged them to strive for success while upholding traditions and culture.

The students were presented with prestigious graduate and postgraduate diplomas in various streams, marking the official completion of their academic journey at ASMS. The convocation ceremony symbolized not just an end but a new beginning for these graduates as they embark on their professional journeys.

Asian School of Media Studies Hosts Convocation 2023 at Marwah Studios

Noida, 18th December : The Asian School of Media Studies recently celebrated its 19th convocation for the 2020-2023 Batch at the illustrious Marwah Studios. The ceremony brought together graduates from diverse disciplines, including the School of Cinema, School of Performing Arts, Still Photography, Hospitality and Tourism, Digital Marketing, and Health and Wellness.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students reunited after their final exams and awaited the announcement of results. The convocation ceremony, held at Marwah Studios, created a vibrant and dynamic environment within the campus.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University, in his address, inspired and motivated the graduating students, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning. He urged them to remain dedicated to their professions, work hard, and stay true to their values. Dr. Marwah also stressed the significance of respecting time and promoting Indian culture.

Renowned actor Joyshree Arora, known for her powerful roles in iconic productions such as “Hum Lok,” “Buniyaad,” and “Chekde India,” shared insights from her extensive experience in the industry. She emphasized the role of passion and deep interest in excelling in the profession.

T. Vishnudatta Jayaraman, the Washington Bureau Chief and White House Correspondent from the USA, graced the occasion and shared valuable experiences from the field of journalism. He provided guidance to the students on taking their professions to new heights by incorporating innovative ideas and fresh perspectives.

R.K. Singh, Former Engineer in Chief of Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, encouraged the graduates to embrace new ways of life to climb faster in their respective professions. He underscored the importance of adapting to new technologies swiftly to stay relevant in an ever-changing landscape.

The ceremony also recognized academic excellence, with several students receiving the prestigious Suraj Parkash Marwah Memorial and Sheela Marwah Memorial awards. All graduates were honored with the esteemed diploma of the Asian School of Media Studies in their respective disciplines.

Sandeep Marwah Extends Invitation to M & E Skills Council for Collaboration with Industry Organizations

New Delhi:  Sandeep Marwah, a prominent figure in the media and entertainment industry, has extended an invitation to the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) to collaborate with various industry associations, aiming to enhance the reach and impact of this esteemed organization. As a member of the Management Committee of the MESC, an important wing of the National Skill Development Corporation under the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, Marwah expressed his privilege and eagerness to further support the growth and development of the media and entertainment sector.

In a meeting chaired by Ramesh Sippy at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi, Sandeep Marwah emphasized the value and importance of the MESC, stating, “I am honored to chair several media and entertainment bodies in India and abroad. It would be my pleasure to invite the MESC to collaborate with other media associations, thereby expanding its reach and achieving a broader impact.” Marwah’s visionary leadership and extensive experience in the industry make him a strong advocate for creating synergies and fostering collaboration within the media and entertainment sector.

During the meeting, Mohit Soni, CEO of MESC, announced a joint program between the PHD Chamber of Commerce and the MESC, scheduled for 14th July. Sandeep Marwah, as Chair for the Entertainment & AVGC Committee, will play a significant role in this initiative. Marwah further extended an invitation to the MESC to join the Media & Entertainment Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, where he serves as the National Chairman.

Displaying his enthusiasm for collaboration, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his interest in signing an MOU between the MESC and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), an organization where he currently holds the position of Global President. Additionally, Marwah extended an invitation to the MESC to visit and establish a partnership with AAFT University of Media and Arts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, which operates under his esteemed Chancellorship.

Marwah proposed a comprehensive program that can be designed to showcase the aims and objectives of the MESC through various media platforms such as Radio Noida, Radio Raipur, Radio Mumbai, and MSTV of Marwah Studios. Furthermore, he offered the services of Marwah Studios and AAFT, the premier studios of North India and the oldest school for skill development in India, to actively participate in the MESC’s development schemes.

Noida: The Executive Council of Asian Alumni Association consisting of former students of Asian Academy of Film and Television together with Asian School of Media Studies met the President Dr. Sandeep Marwah for the new proposals for the year.

It has been decided to have Alumni Meet on 18th of March 2023 at the premises of Marwah Studios and number of suggestions were made to make it a very vibrant, entertaining and colorful meeting followed by awards and Dinner.

“It is now almost 30 years we are in education and AAFT & ASMS have a very strong alumni association. I am proud of my students who all are doing very well in their chosen fields and spread out all over the World,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while talking to former students. “I would like to appreciate all the effort that is done by you all for the development of our society and thank you for justifying the years spent by you at this institution. Education can be further divided into Enthusiasm, Determination, Utilization of given resources, Communication, Attitude, Toughness, Information, over all development and being Nationalist,” expressed Dr. Marwah in very simple words by giving examples and case studies.

The students were presented with prestigious awards and diplomas of Asian School of Media Studies. Aditya Paul Bachelor of Arts-Journalism & Mass Communication and Col. Anil Pandit Master of Arts -Journalism & Mass Communication were honored with Suraj Parkash Marwah Memorial Award.  Mitali Swarnkar B.A. in Arts (Journalism & Mass Communication) and Kratika Agarwal M.A. in Arts (Journalism & Mass Communication) were presented with Smt. Sheela Marwah Memorial Award on this auspicious day. Faculty, registrar, and dean also spoke on the occasion.  Akshay Luthra of MA and Sudhansu Gaur of BA were nominated for the best overall performance during the session.

“Always have big ambitions there is no tax on thinking big, dreaming big. Bigger the thinking higher the success this is the first principle of achieving some thing in life. Be tough so that you can face all sort of unforeseen circumstances. Be techno savvy, it is the age of technology, upgrade yourself, read a lot, see what is new. Develop motivation within yourself. It is not available anywhere in the World. Self-motivation will take you to your destination,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts in his convocation address thanking faculty, management, and administration of Asian School of Media Studies for working so hard even in the pandemic.

Sandeep Marwah On The Sets of Feature Film Mooh Mittha Karao

Mumbai:” It is a great pleasure to see the students of Asian School of Media Studies working together for a powerful project of feature film ‘Mooh Mittha Karao’  directed by a woman director from ASMS Jasmine Kaur Sakheja,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ASMS at the Muhurat of a new project at Future Studios at Goregaon, Mumbai.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to each and every one and wish this film a very big success. The training at Marwah Studios has always been practical which gives students ample confidence to get on the floor for production of films like this,” added Marwah congratulating each and every one present there. Dr. Marwah was accompanied with Dr. Sushil Bharti of Radio Noida 107.4FM.

“I am so excited with the project and it is giving me a very homely environment to work with the team, all from my film school. We all belong to different batches but sence of oneness is there,” said Jasmine Kaur Sukheja ASMS 2014-17 batch welcoming Dr. Marwah on the sets.

The team consisting of pass outs from ASMS including Vaibhav Singh as Creative Director  and Shantanu Singh as Associate Director from 2014-17 batch, Vishal Vashisth as Chief Assistant and Script Supervisor, Prasanna Bisht as Costume Assistant Director from 2015-18, Rahul Bobby First Assistant of 2016-19, Abhishek Upadhyay Second Assistant of 2014-15 and  Wicky Singh as Assistant Director of 2014-16 batch.

New Delhi: Convocation of department of Mass Communication And Journalism ASMS-Asian School of Media Studies was held at Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.

More than 125 students belonging to Graduation and post Graduation in the field of Mass Communication And Journalism and PR Events & Advertising received their prestigious degree from the renowned film, television and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University.

“The success of the student lying in his presentation backed and supported by his education and training, Knowledge and its application is the key factor in placement. I am pleased to note that most of the students have already managed to get their first job,” said Dr. Marwah while giving his convocation address.

The institution teaches you every thing but experience you have to gain from life.  There is no alternative to hard work. Be honest to your profession and respect time   then time will respect you,” added Dr. Marwah in his speech.

The certificated of achievement along with memento were passed on to all the students in a well-planned colorful and formal function. Later Dr. Marwah also presented the certificate of appreciation to students who represented different countries for research work for International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Have trust in your institution, in yourself and the strong traditions and culture of this country” said Kuldeep Nayyar the veteran journalist, writer, a former parliamentarian, Ambassador on the convocation of 6th batch of media persons passing out from Asian School Of Media Studies, Noida Film City.

“Have courage and stamina to fight for the wrong to show the correct path to the nation” said Manoj Raghuvanshi a television personality. “See for your self, think before you write or display any information. One wrong information can ruin the peace of the country” said Prof Avinash Singh Media advisor to many organizations. “A good knowledge of everything is the base of every program” added Prof. Obaid M. Siddiqui International Broadcaster & Director of A J Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre.

“I congratulate every student for putting in best efforts during their tenure at ASMS. More than 100 scholars, Professors, Personalities, Socialites have trained these students. More than 400 productions have taken place to teach them film business, more than 100 seminars, workshops, symposiums, events, interactions, festivals, industry interface have been organized which are more than any IITs and IIMs of this country. I am sure of their success.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

World Telecommunication Day 2011 Celebrated At ASMS




ASMS has been popular in designing programs on the right occasions to develop education through events, workshops, seminars, interactions etc.This time the students and the faculty of Asian School of Media Studies, Noida celebrated World Telecommunication Day at Marwah Studios at Film City on 17th May, which has already been declared as World Telecommunication Day.


“A word Telecommunication defines the complete connectivity of the World in itself. This epitome of technology, which started being used as a luxury is now the necessity of every individual” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of ASMS highlighting the importance of telecommunication.

”It all started when Alexander Graham Bell, in his attempt to make a multiple Telegraph, ended up inventing telephone, which was then called the 'Harmonic Telegraph'. March 10th 1876, witnessed the birth of telephone ”Informed R.K.Singh Dy Director ASMS explaining relation between broadcasting and telecommunication.

“The broader access to fast 4G wireless technologies will advance education, entertainment, agriculture, health care, and more in rural and developing parts of the world” added Namarata Bagga HOD Mass Communication ASMS.

Asian School Of Media Studies Initiates PTA Meet

“We are worried about our students career, we want them to be the most successful media persons, that is why we want to understand them better through their parents” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of (ASMS) Asian School of Media Studies a first film and media degree college of the country.

“We have now specialization in Print, Radio, Television, Cinema and New Media all the mediums of Media. ASMS is the door to entertainment industry” added R.K.Singh Jt. Director of the college.

“Our hard core class room education and an excess practical training by the industry experts is supported by workshops, seminars, interactions, industry interface, visits, shows, festivals, events etc” informed Om Gupta Dean Asian School of Media Studies.

All those who joined the Parent Teacher Association were the parents of the students from all the four streams of Cinema, Multi Media, Mass Communication & Journalism and Electronic Media both Msc and Bsc classes.

ASMS Join Hands With British Council For WildScreen Film Festival

Asian School of Media Studies Joined hands with one of the most prestigious film festival on the issues of Environment and Wildlife-WildScreen Film Festival organized by British Council in Delhi. The two days festival at Marwah Studios attracted many young film makers from different streams of film making. The screenings were followed by workshops and discussions.

“We are honored to be part of this popular film festival brought to India by British Council.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. “It is not only informative but has induced us to go ahead for making more films on environment and wildlife” Marwah added.

Charlie Walker, the Director Programme British Council ahead the team of film makers from United Kingdom including Laura Marshall, Patric Rouxcell, Ted Oakes, Nicola Reeves, Richards Edwards. The movies screened in these two days included 'Extreme Ice', on glacier melts from US directed by Noel Dockstader; 'The Man Who Stopped the Desert', a West African tale of greening the desert by Mark Dodd from Britain; and 'The Wild Meat Trail', an account of wild meat hunting and eating in northeast India directed by Rita Banerji and Shilpi Sharma.

Other films include 'North-Eastern Diaries: Seeking Wildlife in the Eastern Himalayas' from India by Sandesh Kadur, 'How Earth Made Us: Human Planet' from Britain by Matthew Dyas, 'Wild: The Coral Gardener' from Britain by Emma Robens, 'Green' from France by Patrick Rouxel and the BBC Life series on environment.

“British Council will make more efforts like this to create awareness on these kind of social issues and will be pleased to work with Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) and Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT).” said Rob Lynes Director British Council in India.

Film Makers Must Now Think About Environment-Sandeep Marwah

‘Rapid growth of population, discoveries and inventions, industrialization and urbanization has lead to environmental problems. It has effected the land and wild life and lead to water and air pollution” said Sandeep Marwah founder of film city Noida, film producer and educator at the opening of Wild Screen Film Festival at British Council New Delhi.

The Wildscreen Festival was founded by Sir Peter Scott in 1982 and has been organised every alternate year for the past 25 years. It is the world’s largest and most prestigious wildlife and environmental film festival. The festival was inaugurated by actor Kunal Kapoor.

The two-day festival screened six movies, including the BBC Life Series. It opened with the screening of 'Can We Save The Planet Earth', a 2006 movie presented by Sir David Attenborough. The screening was accompanied by seminar that focused on 'Trends in wildlife & environmental filmmaking'

The movies screened in two days festival included 'Extreme Ice', on glacier melts from US directed by Noel Dockstader; 'The Man Who Stopped the Desert', a West African tale of greening the desert by Mark Dodd from Britain; and 'The Wild Meat Trail', an account of wild meat hunting and eating in northeast India directed by Rita Banerji and Shilpi Sharma.

ASMS Won The Hearts Of Delegates At GEO India 2011




The 2nd South Asian Geosciences Conference and Exhibition has been planned from 11th to 14th January at India Expo Centre and Mart at Greater Noida in a grand scale with Asian School of Media Studies as the Media Partners for this International project.
GEO India 2011 conference theme is “Exploring and Producing beyond Frontiers” The conference program being coordinated by the leading geoscience societies American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG) and Association of Petroleum geoscience India (APGI) The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is the main sponsor for the same where 1900 delegates from 20 countries are participating and around 60 countries have stall in the exhibition.
In addition to the technical programmes there is an extensive poster presentations, Workshops, field trips and entertainment program by ASMS informed R.K.Singh, Jt.Director Asian School of Media Studies who has been coordinating 70 students from ASMS for the conference.
All the conferences, workshops, exhibitions, visits and daily programs are covered and recorded by the students of ASMS including the publishing of daily bulletin and entertainment program. The visit of Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios at Geo India 2011 encouraged the students who were working like professionals.

ASMS Join Hands With 3rd Global Festival Of Films 2010




In a joint meeting of management of Asian School of Media Studies and 3rd Global Festival of Films it has been decided that ASMS will join hands with the three days Global festival and help in achieving targets what GFF has planned this time.

“We are ready to accept ASMS faculty as our co-organizer as it comprises of film and television film makers and they know about film festival management” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Global Festival of Films 2010 while declaring R.K.Singh as Festival Director.

Ashok Tyagi, Rahul Sehgal, Sushil Bharti, Sudesh Sharma, Dr.Om Gupta, Divya Prakash, Isha Das, Abhinav Bajpai, Mettu Verma, Namrata Bagga, Anubhav Mathur, were present there to participate in the meeting to form the different organizing committee
The students of Cinema, Mass Communication, Electronic Media, and Multimedia of Asian School Of Media Studies, the first film college of the country will be members of all these organizing committees.

Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios With QBR CWG At Bhopal




BHOPAL, 18 September 2010: The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi along with Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios reached Bhopal, the capital in Madhya Pradesh to witness the entire city gripped by the spirit of sports and patriotism. Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Tukojirao Pawar, Urban Development Minister, Babular Gaur were among others that received the baton amid showering of flower petals.

The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi, en route to Bhopal, made its way through the streets of Dewas. Reaching Bhopal, the baton was received by International Weightlifters R.C Gupta, Nitin Sharma and Sumit Kumar amongst other dignitaries.

The relay was welcomed at the iconic Bhopal Chauraha by girls from the local schools with folk dance performances. This was followed by the baton being taken to the Upper Lake of Bhopal. The Upper Lake is the largest artificial lake in Asia and it is fed with water by Kolans River. Here, the baton was taken across the lake on a boat.

A large number of people, including hockey players - Ashok Kumar, Inaamur Rehman, Sameer Daad and Jalauddin - turned up for the event.The baton later proceeded to Tatya Tope Stadium in a specially decorated vehicle where a grand reception was planned in its honour. Before reaching the stadium, the baton was honoured at nearly 15 places.

Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister, Kailash Vijaywargiya on Friday inaugurated the Commonwealth Games Express Train Exhibition at the Habibganj Railway Station in Bhopal. The train showcasing the glorious history of the Commonwealth Games,

“Fifteen days more to go, the baton will be reaching Delhi for the final show. It has already spread the feeling of patriotism in the country” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios who is controlling the multimedia coverage from headquarters at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah Addressed on Teacher’s Day




“First of all I am must bow before my teachers who all have trained me to an extent that I could become teacher my self” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian Education Group which has trained more than 8000 media professionals from 75 countries in the last 18years of education and has emerged as one of the finest institutions in the World for Film, Television and Media studies.

On this auspicious Teacher’s Day which We celebrate on 5th September, the birth anniversary of Dr Radhakrishnan, our former President, all over the country to honor and to express our nation’s gratitude to all teachers for their dedicated service to the nation, Asian Education Group also had a special meeting to address the faculty.

“We at Asian Education Group consisting of Asian Business School (ABS), Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS), Asian School of Graphics and Animation (ASGA), Asian School of Performing Arts (ASPA) and Asian Academy of Film And television (AAFT) are concerned and worried about each and every student to whom we give admission. We have never believed in cast and religion of the student, that is why we have no columns in our application for cast and religion .I want all the Indian Institutions to follow us in this matter.” Marwah added.
