We Have Lost Surinder Kapoor Our Mentor-Sandeep Marwah

The first member of the Governing Council of 20 year old organization Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Marwah Studios, Noida Film City Surinder Kapoor left for his heavenly abode on 24th September, 2011. The entire Governing Council, Management Committee, Board of Directors, Permanent and visiting Faculty, students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian Business School, Asian School Of Communication and Asian Academy Of film And Television including the 9000 alumni of the film and Business schools extend their heart felt condolences and paid their gratitude to the departed soul. Surinder Kapoor the former President of Film Producers Guild, recipient of many awards and film producer of films like Jab Se Tumhe Dekha, Tarzan Comes to Delhi, Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati, Phool Khile Gulshan Gulshan, Shehzada, Ponga Pandit, Hum Panch, Woh Saat Din, Mr. India, Roop Ki Rani Charon Ka Raja, Prem, Humara Dil Apke Ke Paas Hai, Judai, Pukar, No Entry, Wanted etc played long innings in the Industry. “We have lost our mentor, I have no words to express my self, we are in deep sorrow” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. “We will live up to his expectations, he always wanted us to be the best” Marwah added. Film Making Is A Business Management Exercise-Dharmesh Darshan

“Film Making is not only an art but it is a business and management exercise” said Dharmesh Darshan Director of super hit films like Raja Hindustani, Dharkan, Lootare, Bewaffa etc while addressing the management students of Asian Business School in Noida. He explained them the process of film making. “First you have to be manager of your own, then only you can sustain as the member of the team in film making. You have to be punctual, regular, sincere and dedicated whether you are an actor, director or any technician in films” added Sandeep Marwah while introducing the great cinema maker who has given 4th biggest hit of Indian Cinema. Answering the questions of the students Dharmesh Darshan discussed the cost and the distribution of feature film. He also relate the economic theories of demand and supply and their application in Cinema. Later Dean ABS Prof. Latika Sahani paid vote of thanks.

Marwah Studios Venue For 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011

< The management committee of International Film And Television Club in its board meeting decided to have Internationally known Marwah Studios Complex as the venue for the 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011. Marwah Studios Complex is well equipped with all the audio, video, films, television facilities under one roof. They have also agreed to provide their new campus Marwah Studios II for the extension of programs. “It is my privilege that I am heading both the organizations and would like to give my best to this International Event” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of International Film And Television Club. 71st AAFT Festival Of Short Digital Films inaugurated

Another glorious chapter was added to the prestigious Asian Academy of Film and Television when it showcased seven brilliant films of the outgoing students in its 71st digital short films festival at Marwah Studios. Festival inaugurated by famous Bollywood film director Dharmesh Darshan who gives may hit movies like Raja Hindustani, Lootere, Dhadkan, Bewaffaa and many more. On the occasion Dharmesh Darshan said from a long I am waiting for a good script and now I am doing work on the script. In this institute the training and education given to the students is really remarkable because the practical experience, techniques and latest information about the cinema and media world are really good for the student carrier. On the occasion Director Marwah Studio Sandeep Marwah Said there is a geometrical progression in the form and content of the films made by the students. That speaks volumes about the quality of the education and training being imparted at this two-decade old institute which is now an established institution. In this festival the 7 movies made by the students are 'The Ambush made by Kirtiman Singh dealt with greed, power, lust and treachery in the underworld. Joint Director ASMS Awarded For Eminence

The Institutution of Engineers awarded Joint Director R.K. Singh of Asian School of Media Studies for his all round eminent services in the field of broadcasting. He excelled in converting complicated technologies for the common man. In a glittering function held at Engineers Bhawan, Chairman Union Public Services Commission D.P. Agrawal. Singh had a glorious innings at All India Radio where he was credited with training hundreds of AIR functionaries through innovating new modules. Speaking on the occasion, Singh said he had received many awards but he never felt so honoured because it was for his salient contribution to the cause of serving the humanity at large. IFTC Will Host 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011

The 20 years old film Organization International Film And Television Club meant to promote film and television business including promotion of film festival has decided to host once again the 4th Global Film Festival Noida 2011 to be held on 25th to 27th November 2011. International Film And Television Club has so far launched five festivals in the country including AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films, ASMS Festival of Short Films, International Festival of Mobile Cinema, WECARE Festival of Films on Disability and Global Film Festival Noida. “We have almost emerged as the biggest festival of North India as last time in 3rd Global we showcased 227 films, 42 events and 5000 footfall in three days” said Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of IFTC. The 19thJai National Award was conferred upon the media baron Sandeep Marwah who has expertise in all the mediums of media including Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media , Events and Media Education here at Hotel Ashok by the Minister of Human Resources Development Kapil Sibal and Senior Member of Parliament and Congress Working Committee Oscar Ferenendes at New Delhi in a glittering and a powerful function. “We need to bring in change into our education system to make it available to the largest number of students. Jagmohan Mundhra remembered at AAFT

“It was not long ago when Jagmohan Mundhra was there at AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television to promote his film Apartment with his star cast. Who knew it that he will never come back again” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios remembering Jag Mundhra a renowned film maker at Noida Film City. Jagmohan Mundhra was an Indian filmmaker best known for his early career as an American exploitation film writer-director and his later career as maker of such issue-oriented movies as Bawandar and Provoked. After his first dramas, Suraag and the socially-relevant film, Kamla, Jag Mundhra directed, in the late 1980s and the 1990s, a string of horror and erotic thriller movies for theatrical distribution and direct to video, including The Jigsaw Murders (1988), Halloween Night (1988), Night Eyes (1990), L.A. Goddess (1993), Sexual Malice (1994) and Tales of the Kama Sutra 2: Monsoon (1998). The faculty and students of AAFT kept silence for two minutes as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Teachers Day Celebrated At Asian Education Group

ASMS Join Hands With 3rd Global Festival Of Films 2010



In a joint meeting of management of Asian School of Media Studies and 3rd Global Festival of Films it has been decided that ASMS will join hands with the three days Global festival and help in achieving targets what GFF has planned this time.

“We are ready to accept ASMS faculty as our co-organizer as it comprises of film and television film makers and they know about film festival management” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Global Festival of Films 2010 while declaring R.K.Singh as Festival Director.

Anime Convention At Marwah Studios

Marwah Studios has been selected as the venue for the 2nd Anime Convention to be held from 9th to 11th September, 2011. “We are proud to say that Marwah Studios Complex fulfill all the requirements for any International Festival or convention” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios a creative enterprises. The 2nd Anime Convention shall covered workshops, seminars, exhibitions, talks, Japanese Food stalls, Games, Book Stalls along with the film festival planned this time. “We have left no stone unturned to see to it that convention should be hit” said Supriya Suri Creative Director of Cine Darbar. Some of the best animation films from Japan and the film Directors are joining this convention who will participate for all three days. Indian Films Are Well Accepted Abroad -Sandeep Marwah At Focus 2011

New Delhi.9th Sept: .India is the largest film producing country in the World, We produce more than 1000 films in 28 official languages, there are 12000 theatres and 15 million people see cinema every day. We sell 5 billion tickets every year and 3.5 million people are working in this industry” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at Focus 2011 at the beginning of the seminar on Indian Film Industry specially planned on the occasion of 58th National Film Awards.

Indian Cinema is well accepted by more than 60 countries and the whole World see Indian Cinema. “Foreign film production houses are finding the Indian film market attractive, according to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil. “Indian movie companies are also going global, finding new markets and deepening their existing presence” she said at 58th National Film Awards function.

Later Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni said the Government had moved forward in setting up the National Film Heritage Mission. The greatest benefit of the mission would be to enable the preservation of invaluable filmic heritage of the country which was an integral part of the socio-cultural.

The year 2013 would mark the centenary year of Indian Cinema as the country’s first indigenous feature film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ by DG Phalke was produced in 1913. This centenary would be a milestone in India’s cinematic journey and needed to be showcased and celebrated.
