Indo Nigerian Film Association Will Promote 4th IFCC

INFA Indo Nigerian Film Association has agreed to support the forthcoming 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 14th and 15th of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

“It is a very unique kind of festival where we expect film maker to use mobile phone camera to shoot his film” said Sandeep Marwah President of the 4th IFCC “ we want to promote the sense of film making and instance response within masses to something different which is happening around you” Marwah added.

The two day festival will take place at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. Any person can join this festival as there is no entry fee. The Governing Council of Indo Nigerian Film Association will also promote this festival in Nigeria and request for the entries from there.

There will be a seminar and workshop on the first day and screening of films their judgement and awards on the second day which will be followed by a gala dinner.

Mahatma Gandhi Forum joins Festival of Cellphone Cinema




The management of Mahatma Gandhi Forum decided to contribute to the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema to be held on 14 and 15th of January at Noida Film City. A special meeting conducted at the forum decided to announce special award for the participants submitting film on Mahatma Gandhi.

“We are proud to be associated with Mahatma Gandhi Forum which was created to highlight the thinking process of Late Mahatma Gandhi” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and 4th IFCC.

The festival has seminar, workshop, screening and award function followed by a gala dinner at Marwah Studios selected as the venue for this two day festival.

Marwah Studios Venue of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema



The Governing Council of 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema finalized the world renowned Marwah Studios as the venue of the festival designed from 14th to 15th January 2011 at the fastest growing film city at Noida.

IFTRC Will Be Part Of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




International Film And Television Research Centre established in 1993 to promote film and television education in India has already served and helped many film and television organizations and film makers now joins hand with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 15th -16th January, 2011.

IFTRC will provide all inputs to new and young film makers as how to do the best even in limited resources. “We are consulting all members of IFTRC spread all over the World to promote 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema” said Sandeep Marwah President of IFCC and Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

ICFF Supports 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema

The organization to promote Children’s Cinema-International Children’s Film Forum will support 4tht IFCC in full swing. All the film Institutes will participate in this festival and 12th class students of all the schools are also invited to participate in this festival.

4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in January 2011


4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in January 2011
International Film and Television Club along with Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) have decided to go ahead with the 4th International festival of Mobile Cinema at Marwah Studios in the third week of January 2010.

The purpose of this two days festival is to unleash the creative spark of the participants by using non traditional means of technology like the Cell Phone and create both motion and still imagery. The festival has slot for seminar, workshop by known film makers followed by Gala networking lunches and dinners

All the entries to be created by using a mobile phone. The entries should be original and not infringe on any copy right law. All works to be either uploaded on batchbuzz.com or the body of work can be sent on CD at the festival office at AAFT, Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The last date of registration is 8th-Jan-2011. The video length should be 3 minutes maximum.

The film entries received from various countries will be judged by an international jury in New Delhi and the result for the 9 winner in three categories of the Cell Phone Cinema festival will be announced later. The list of the film entries qualified for the finals, will be disclosed through the Internet.( www.aaft.com)

Workshop By Sai Paranjpye At Global Film Festival


The renowned film maker Sai Paranjpye popularly known for her contribution to Children’s Cinema including films like The Little Tea Shop , Jadu Ka Shankh ,Begaar , Sikander , Sparsh , Chasme Buddoor , Katha , Ados Pados , Angootha Chhaap , Disha , Chooriyan , Saaz , Bhago Bhoot , Chaka Chak , Suee was invited by International Film And Television Club to have workshop with the film makers at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida

She has been National Award Winner for her film Sparsh for best Screen Play in the year 1980 and Film for social issues Choodiyan in 1993. She has also been recipient of Film Fare Awards.

Sai Paranjpye read her well prepared paper on children’s film. Talking to the Cinema audience and answering to the different questions she confessed that it is difficult today to sell children’s subject without stars and with stars it is unviable that is why she has stopped making movies. Reality is that market for Children’s films is untapped. A middle path has to be adopted.

Sandeep Marwah suggested that, “ time has come when we have to widen the horizon of so called Children’s film .It can be with children and also on the issues of children like Tare Zameen Pe, Mr India, etc which are super hit films”
Khalid Mohamed said, “No body asks for script for children’s film, it may be suitable for television and channels, and that does not serve our purpose”

R.K.Singh persuaded that film maker should not leave the opportunity which he gets from the Government in the form of finance from NFDC or CFSI.
Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks to the veterans and suggested animation films can be a wonderful alternative to regular films.

‘Baru - The Wonder Kid’ to premiere at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida



Animation film ‘Baru-The Wonder Kid’ is all set to Premiere on 13th November at the ‘3rd Global Film Festival’ at Noida. Instead of the theatrical release, producers Vishnu Manohar and Prabhakar Shukla have decided to hold the first screening at this festival which is dedicated to good children’s films from across the world. Later the film will be brought to theatres.

Comments one of the producers Prabhakar Shukla,“We have decided to push the theatrical release further after seeing the market reaction for recently released animation film Ramayan. Now we will be bringing the film through a different route. 3rd Global Film Festival at Noida’s focus is children’s films.

“We have many children’s film by international directors getting exposure through this festival. Amongst the Indian films, 'Baru-The Wonder Kid' is Premiering while other three Indian entries are Mr India, Aasmaan Se Gira and Blue Umbrella. It’s definitely a very good and appropriate platform for us” Informed Sandeep Marwah, the festival President.

'Baru-The Wonder Kid' is one of the few animation film that is getting a very positive response from various festivals across the world. After the premiere at the 3rd Global Film Festival, which is showcasing many films from Japan, Russia, Iran, France, Italy, Spain etc, the film will move onto other International films festivals before its theatrical release.

Presented by Shri Vishnu Entertainment & Lemon N Yellow Productions and produced by Vishnu Manohar and Prabhakar Shukla (of Kahani Ek Gudiya Ki fame), ‘Baru-The Wonder Kid’ is directed by Sachin Gote. The story revolves around a twelve year old orphan boy Baru and his courageous journey to free his sister, Anannya (fondly called as Ani), from the clutches of the Devil Prince-Zukayu.

The film’s music is by Vivek Prakash while lyrics is done by Madan Pal. The film which is directly related to Children Mr India is the entry for screening at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 from 12th to 14th November at festival venue at Noida Film City.

“Even though the film Mr India has been screened so many times in different channels, the children still have great craze for this film” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.” This film has been all time hit of Director Shekhar Kapoor and Producer Boney Kapoor” Marwah added.

I wanted to be at the festival for all three days but I have to be out of India for official work” said Boney Kapoor. “I have realized that the reaction of the Children is same after seeing the movie all these years” said Sridevi who is also out of India at the time of Festival.

“The full length feature film GURU directed by Rajeev Anchal in Malayalam and produced by Harbbei Sidhu supported by Shantigiri Ashram on the theme of Guru inspired by the Karunakar Guru is the part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” informed Festival President Sandeep Marwah to the international press.

The film Guru was the OSCAR entry of India selected by the Apex film body of the country Film Federation of India in the year 1997.The film was appreciated by the Oscar Committee but could not be taken into the competition list. The film has bagged many awards in India and abroad

3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 With Focus On Children’s Film




The International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has planned its third edition of Global Film Festival Noida 2010 from 12th to 14th November at its campus in Noida Film City with focus on Children’s Film.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India is supporting the festival through its Directorate of Film Festival (DFF), Children’s Film Society India (CFSI) and Film Division who all are participating through their films.

International Children’s Film Forum(ICFF), International Film And Television Research Centre (IFTRC), Indo Wales Creative Forum (IWCF), Indo Nigerian Film Association (INFA), Indo Sudan Cultural Forum ISCF), Indo Peru Cultural And Film Forum (IPCFF), World Religious Parliament (WRP), Global Yog Alliance (GYA), PHD Chamber of Commerce, Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Film and Television Producers Guild (FTPGI), Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), Film Federation Of India (FFI) are part of the film festival this time.

Children’s Film Society India Will Participate in 3rd Global Film Festival.

The 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 promoted by International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has welcomed the participation of Children’s Film Society of India, a body of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Government of India from 12th to 14th November at Noida Film City.

“It is a proud moment for me that my film Aasmaan, produced by Children Film Society, India has been selected for the screening for the main Cinema at 3rd GFF” said renowned film director Pankaj Parashar who promised to be present at the festival for three days.

Shantigiri Ashram Joins Hands With 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010

Santhigiri Ashram works towards fulfilling Navajyothi Sri Karunakara Guru's vision of a revitalized life involving spiritual, social, economic and cultural elements and now join hands with 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 which is focusing on Children Films this time promoted by Asian Society of Film And Television.

Section For Disability Films At 3rd Global Film Festival Noida




A special section for the films covering the issues of disability has been created by the management of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 starting from 12th November at Marwah Studios Complex, Noida Film City

“We cannot ignore the issue of disability which exists in our society and has been ignored for many times, especially when the focus of the festival is children” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and the festival.

“All preparations have been done to highlight disability issues in 3rd global Film Festival” said R.K.Singh Festival Director. “We have received large number of films from many countries and different parts of India.” said Satish Kapoor President Brotherhood who is looking after this section of 3rd GFF Noida 2010.

MTV Selection of Best Band at AAFT- Marwah Studios




The hunt for best rock band by MTV, a leading television channel of the World with its office in India, is starting in Delhi. 68th Festival of Short Digital Films will be part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida

The management and board of Asian Academy of Film And Television has decided to merge its 68th festival of short digital films with the Global Film Festival which has been placed in the evening of first day of this mega international event in Noida to be held from 12th to 14th November at Marwah Studios Complex.

A set of selected films from the 68th batch are going to be the part of this mini festival which will participate in the competition to be judged by the jury comprising of important film makers from the film and television industry.

International Record for Asian School of Media Studies At CWG 2010




‘What our students have achieved no media person could do it in all these years” said Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian School of Media Studies and founder of Noida Film City, India.

It is the rare opportunity for Asian School of Media Studies of Marwah Studios to participate in the biggest international sports event of the country, XIX Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 and Queen’s Baton Relay.

A special assignment was handed over to Marwah Studios by the Organizing Committee of Commonwealth Games, Delhi to cover this longest journey of Queen’s Baton Relay from Wagah Boarder to Delhi.

A special team of three former students of Asian School of Media Studies Poonam Singh, Neeraj Sauda and Abhinav Lal was prepared & selected by the Dean R.K.Singh to do the needful. A powerful well equipped technical support was provided by Marwah Studios to these three students to complete the mission.

“ASMS team of Marwah Studios clicked 10,000 photographs, covered 1000 hrs of filming attended 300 events at 900 locations covered 20,000 km in all 102 days of moving in 28 states 7 union territories and created a wonderful International record for ASMS. IPBF Will Be Part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010

International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television, radio production and broadcasting is going to be part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida, 2010 to be scheduled from 12th to 14th November.

The IPBF International Public Broadcasting Forum was earlier busy with Queen’s Baton Relay where 102 days coverage of QBR from Wagah Border to Delhi has been recorded by them for the organizing committee of Commonwealth Games. A documentary and a game’s song were also released recently by IPBF.

“International Public Broadcasting Forum, I am sure going to announce some films during 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFF and Marwah Studios.

ICFF Will Play A Major Role In 3rd Global Film Festival 2010

International Children’s Film Forum will play an important role in the coming 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 to be held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida from 12th November to 14th November which has focus on Children Films.

A special program has been devised to relate unprivileged students with the GFF NOIDA. Many NGOs, associations, forums, societies have been informed so that all unprivileged students can be part of this International event.

“The recently opened APNA School in sector 14, 15, and 16 at Noida controlled by ICFF will also take part in the festival. IFTRC Will Be Part of 3rd Global Festival Of Children’s Film 2010

International Film And Television Research Centre, the first film research organization in India in private sector has once again joined hands with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010 with the emphasis on Children’s films. to be held from 12th November to 14th November 2010.

IFTRC, who have recently celebrated 18th year of its existence in India has already conducted research on children’s film and television programs in last so many years.

IFTC Announces 3rd Global Festival of Children’s Film 2010




The International Film And Television Club, a body conducting seminars, symposiums, national and international film festivals, interaction programs, cultural festivals now going ahead with the planning and designing of 3rd Global Festival of Children’s Film.

The earlier two were Global Festival of Films on Peace and Spirituality and Global Festival of Documentary Films. Both were super successful programs conducted by IFTC and the venue was Noida Film City.

Global Festival Of Films 2010 Fixed For November

“We are once again proud to announce the dates of 3rd Global Festival of Films with special emphasis on Children’s Film this time.” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival in the general board meeting held today at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City, which has been finalized also as the venue of the festival.

The details of the three days festival program were chartered out with the committee including Gurbir Grewal, R.K. Singh, Kalyan Sarkar, Om Gupta as committee heads.
The festival will include screening of Children’s Film, a short film corner, workshops, seminars, an exhibition of film posters, a market place, get together etc

The festival will also see interaction with foreign film makers, Indian Film personalities and film, television and media students .The 3rd Global Festival of Films will be supported by Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Performing Arts, Asian Business School and Asian School of Graphics and Animation.

“I am very confident of my team, we will produce better results this time. Global festival of Films has already become a brand with the second edition. Third edition will make it more popular” Sandeep Marwah added.

“Teachers are the best guide, believe them they are your path makers. A good education not only educate and train you but also built up the character and personality of the student” said Salman Khurshid union minister of state for Corporate Affairs and Minority Affairs, Government of India while giving the valedictory address to the passing out media students of the 68th batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

Asian Academy of Film And Television conducted 600 hours of training program and invited 70 film and television professional and personalities, had 34 interactions, workshops, seminars, symposiums, festivals, film events, shows, releases, etc. during 68th batch. More than 100 training films have been made in association with Marwah Productions in this batch informed Prof. Gurbir Grewal Additional Director, AAFT.

“We have left no stone unturned to bring media education to an international level. With the completion of 68th batch we have touched 75 countries of the World and now we are number one institute in the country as far as foreign enrolment is concerned” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT.

Salman Khurshid handed over the prestigious Diploma of AAFT to 76 students hailing from all over India and countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Greece, Netherland, Bhutan etc this time. Others who spoke on the occasion were Prof. R.K.Singh Dean Asian School of Media Studies, Prof. Satish Annd Dean Asian School of Performing Arts, Dr.Akhilesh Sharma and Prof. Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT paid formal vote of thanks. Sandeep Marwah honored Salman Khurshid with the life membership of International Film And Television Club.

Asian School Of Performing Arts has Given Another Star

“It has been proved once again that education and training in acting does matter when Ahran Chaudhary signed feature film after the successful winning of Mr. Gladrags 2010” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of Performing Arts of AAFT while talking to the press and students of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

“I am complete with AAFT training. Now I can face the World” said Ahran Chaudhary the handsome good looking hero of the forthcoming film ‘The Black Rose’ to be produced by ‘One Move Up Entertainment’ from South Africa directed by Sujeet Kulkerni who has already been director of more than 100 advertisement films and popular music videos like ‘Atma’, ‘Safar’ etc

“I was looking for a face who can fit into the lead character of my film and when I saw Ahran, it served the purpose, the best part is that he is trained too” said Surjeet who has managed to sign with Warner Brothers for the marketing of the film world wide.

The film is going to be on the floor this year with Naseerudin Shah, Gyattri Dattar as lead lady, Vishal Kaushik and many more. Ahran thanked his alma matter for everything, Later Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT to Ahran Chaudhary, Gyattri Dattar and Sujeet kulkerni.

Sandeep Marwah Represented Media In Queen’s Baton Relay At Jaipur




Jaipur.22nd September “It is my proud privileged to be part of the relay team and to run with the Queen’s Baton in the historical city of Jaipur. I am feeling so patriotic and wish that everything should go well at Commonwealth Games as per plans” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian Academy Of Film And Television to the National Press at Jaipur where earlier Baton was received by Rajasthan Olympic Association Chief Janardhan Gehlot from Agra.

Sandeep Marwah, the renowned media personality and an International record holder of producing largest number of shorts films in the World, was representing films, Television and media Industry in Queen’s Baton Relay. He has been a media Guru and has trained more than 8000 persons from 75 countries.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. in a ceremonial gesture along with state tourism minister Bina Kak handed over the Baton to Olympic silver medalist Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at Amar Jawan Jyoti. A light drizzle and overcast conditions could not dampen the mood of thousands of people including students lined up both sides of the path holding national flags and showering floral tributes.

The convoy was accompanied by CWG mascot Shera, chief secretary Salauddin Ahmed, Jaipur MP Mahesh Joshi, secretary of sports and youth affairs, Rohit Kumar Arjun Award winners like Gopal Saini, Kuldeep Singh Garcha, Shriram Singh, Rajkumar, Surendra Kataria, Hanuman Singh, Dyanchand, Salim Durani were prominent among the sportspersons who joined the rally. The six-km course was dotted with hoardings and banners on the Games.

QBR culminated at Hawa Mahal after passing through MI Road, Sanganeri Gate and Chotte Chaupad. A cultural program at Jawahar Kala Kendra marked the event.

The Baton will proceed to Jodhpur on Thursday and after passing through Jaisalmer and Bikaner, it will move into Haryana on 26th September. The Baton will complete its 20,000 km journey before reaching New Delhi on September 30.

Education Takes You To A Better Platform-Sandeep Marwah




“It is very important for creative persons to go through a proper education and training in acting or any other discipline so that they can grow better and start from a higher platform in life” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of performing Arts of AAFT while congratulating Ahran Chaudhary a pass out of the school.

“Time has come when I would like to prove to my Institution that I can do it and the hard and honest efforts what my teachers have put- in are on the right direction” said Ahran Chaudhary who has won the title of MR GLADRAGS 2010 in Mumbai this month.

The institution Asian School Of Performing Arts of AAFT is celebrating the success of its student Ahran Chaudhary and going to facilitate him at the campus soon. Sandeep Marwah will be handing over the life membership of International Film And Television club IFTC to him on the day of event.

Queen’s Baton Relay and Marwah Studios Team at Agra




AGRA, 21 September 2010: The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi along with multimedia team of Marwah Studios has reached the historic city of Agra, capital of Mughal dynasty. The baton entered Uttar Pradesh on Monday amidst much fanfare and exuberance. The baton convoy travelled around the city producing a wonderful spectacle for the people lined up along its route.

The baton was received by distinguished sportspersons like International Power lifter Hardeep Singh and Arjuna awardees for Hockey and Olympian Jagveer Singh among others. Thereafter the baton headed towards 509 Army Base Workshop and was honored by officers of different ranks.

The relay was flagged off with great joy and over hundred Baton bearers took part. Incessant rains could not fetter the pace of the relay.

Evening saw a cultural program being organized at Sur Sadan, where a special postal stamp was released to honour the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi. The program included traditional dance performance and a fashion parade showcasing designs themed “Go Green’.

“The multimedia team of Marwah studios has covered 88 days of tour and coverage with Queen’s baton relay without even a blink” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah studios.

AAFT is proud of Ahran Chaudhary




New Delhi 19th Sept:“We all are proud at Asian Academy of Film And Television for Ahran Chaudhary our student of Acting for bringing laurels to AAFT by winning the best model title of renowned competition of Gladrags” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT.

“My days at Marwah Studios not only taught me the ways and means to grow in acting but also motivated to work hard and pursue my carrier’ said Ahran Chaudhary who shifted to Mumbai after his training at Noida Film City.

“It is not only necessary but essential to go for education and training in Film and Television so that you can gain confidence and learn all that in shortest period of time” added Ahran while talking to the media persons.

Asian School of Performing Arts an acting school of AAFT is running short term as well as one year course in Acting. The education and training in acting is supported by large number of short films for the students produced by Marwah Films and Video Production.

Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios With QBR CWG At Bhopal




BHOPAL, 18 September 2010: The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi along with Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios reached Bhopal, the capital in Madhya Pradesh to witness the entire city gripped by the spirit of sports and patriotism. Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Tukojirao Pawar, Urban Development Minister, Babular Gaur were among others that received the baton amid showering of flower petals.

The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi, en route to Bhopal, made its way through the streets of Dewas. Reaching Bhopal, the baton was received by International Weightlifters R.C Gupta, Nitin Sharma and Sumit Kumar amongst other dignitaries.

The relay was welcomed at the iconic Bhopal Chauraha by girls from the local schools with folk dance performances. This was followed by the baton being taken to the Upper Lake of Bhopal. The Upper Lake is the largest artificial lake in Asia and it is fed with water by Kolans River. Here, the baton was taken across the lake on a boat.

A large number of people, including hockey players - Ashok Kumar, Inaamur Rehman, Sameer Daad and Jalauddin - turned up for the event.The baton later proceeded to Tatya Tope Stadium in a specially decorated vehicle where a grand reception was planned in its honour. Before reaching the stadium, the baton was honoured at nearly 15 places.

Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister, Kailash Vijaywargiya on Friday inaugurated the Commonwealth Games Express Train Exhibition at the Habibganj Railway Station in Bhopal. The train showcasing the glorious history of the Commonwealth Games,

Marwah Studios Team reached Indore Along With Queen’s Baton Relay




INDORE, 17 September 2010: Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi was given a warm reception on its arrival to Indore with Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios. The baton was received by international wrestler Mr. Pappu Yadav among others at the city’s Lantern Square.

Large number of people lined up on the relay route to catch a glimpse of the Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi while it passed through important landmarks of the city.

Earlier on Wednesday the baton was given a traditional welcome on its arrival in Madhya Pradesh with artists performing tribal dance at the border village called Kund. Arjun Awardee Mr.G.L. Yadav (Sailing) and Ms. Madhu Yadav (Hockey) were present at the occasion to receive the baton along with other dignitaries.

Later, the baton reached Ratlam, travelling across Sarvan, Sailana and Dhamnod, where the relay commenced from Nehru Stadium, circumambulating the area around the stadium. It was followed by an evening of cultural extravaganza.

‘The Queen’s Baton Relay of Commonwealth Games 2010 has brought once again the whole country together. It has proved to be a wonderful element of National Integration” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios Enterprises.

Script Writing Workshop on Disability at Marwah Studios


Marwah Studios in association with a voluntary organization Brotherhood and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) organized a Script Writing Workshop for the writers working on the subjects like disability at Noida Film City from August 23 to 27. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance the communication skills of the professionals on this subject.

“We understand our responsibility towards society and especially towards disable persons who have been ignored many times by the people in community. The workshop has developed the writing skills of many and got us some wonderful scripts on the subject to make short films” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“Brotherhood has been creating awareness about disability in schools, hospitals and communities through films. It has already organized seven film festivals on disability issues in India” said Satish Kapoor President of Brotherhood. The next We Care Film Festival’ is already planned with the support of AAFT, RCI, UNESCO, United Nations Information Centre and National Trust.

A team of experts from Asian Academy of Film And Television [AAFT] &Asian School of Media studies [ASMS] was drawn to conduct this powerful workshop at Noida Film City. R.K.Singh, Kalyan Sarkar, Rahul Sehgal, Lalit Kumar, Satish Anand, Ashok Tyagi, Mansoor Naqvi, Amit Prajapati were part of the faculty team. Dr. Om Gupta conducted the workshop.

Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios At Ahmedabad With Queen’s Baton Relay.




AHMEDABAD, 15 September 2010: The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi on its journey across the country reached Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on Tuesday along with the multimedia team of Marwah Studios This was one of the residences of Father of The Nation Mahatma Gandhi. This ashram is now a national monument due to its significance in the Indian independence movement.

The relay was flagged off from the historical Ashram. Tejas Bakre, Gujarat’s Chess Grandmaster led the relay. Junior Indian Tennis Federation players Vaidik Munshaw and Yagnesh Sharma also became the proud Batonbearers.

Refering to the newly created Mahatma Gandhi Forum at Noida Film City Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios said,” the timing of our team of Multimedia Coverage at Ahmedabad and launching of Mahatma Gandhi Forum here in Noida almost same. I am proud of my students who have covered whole India along with Queen’s Baton Relay”

Earlier in the day, the baton was received at Vadodara by Lajja Goswami, Shooter and member of the Indian Rifle Shooting Team for XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi.

On Monday, the baton travelled through the state visiting cities like Vapi, Nalsari, Surat and Vadodara.

The baton received a traditional welcome at the state border with children dressed in conventional attires dancing to the local tunes. From here on the baton was carried on in an open jeep to Vapi where a cultural programme was organised in its honour. The atmosphere was exuberant with crowds cheering and beating drums.

Reaching Surat, the baton was taken for a relay. Excitement among the people reached it pinnacle during the relay engulfed them by the spirit of the Games.

Marwah Studios Multimedia Team With QBR CWG At Mumbai



MUMBAI: The Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi arrived with Marwah Studios Multimedia Team in the commercial capital of the country Mumbai amid cultural extravaganza and a grand welcome by the Western Naval Command at INS Viraat.
Many International athletes were present at this occasion including hockey Olympian - MM Somaya, former national table tennis champion - Kamlesh Mehta, chess Grandmaster - Praveen Thipsay, his wife - Bhagyashree Thipsay, Arjuna Awardee - Adil Sumariwala, former badminton players - Pradeep Gandhe and Gauri Ghate and national level basketball player - Surbhi Mudgal.
Hockey Olympian MM Somaya said, “I was honoured to be a part of the Queen's Baton Relay. It is a big thing for us sportspersons. It was a proud moment indeed.”
At the legendary Gateway of India Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr. Ashok Chavan participated in the relay. He received the baton which arrived by aboat from Karanje naval jetty in Uran, Navy Mumbai, to the Gateway of India in south Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chavan expressed the hope that the Games would spread a spirit of sportsmanship among the people and popularise sports among the masses.
Besides the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal, Sports Minister Mr. Suresh Shetty, Union Minister for IT Mr. Gurudas Kamat and other sports officials and members of the State Olympic Association were present on the occasion.
Earlier the Indian Navy gave the baton a majestic welcome. As many as 1,400 naval sailors and 400 navy children school students welcomed the baton by waving the Tricolour. Lezhim, Maharashtra’s traditional synchronised dance form was performed by a cultural troupe of students.
The baton was first taken to the submarine, INS Sindhuvijay, and then to INS Viraat where it was handed over to Vice-Admiral Sanjeev Bhasin, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Region.
“We are proud to get this unique opportunity. The Queen's Baton 2010 Delhi carries forward a five-decade-old tradition and symbolises the unity and diversity of the Commonwealth countries,” Vice-Admiral Bhasin said.

The baton, carrying the Queen's message on an 18-carat gold leaf, was then handed over by Vice-Admiral Bhasin to Shaurya Chakra Award winner Commander Dilip Dhonde, the first Indian to circumnavigate the world solo. Near the Gateway, the baton was welcomed by two Chetak helicopters which showered petals and two jet cannons which formed an arch, as the baton cruised forward to the Gateway.
