Apna School Completed Four Years of Its Inception



A voluntary organization Apna School supported by Radio Noida 107.4FM, the first Radio Station of the city completed its four years of inception informed Brahm Prakash, director of the station.

“We started this organization under our voluntary programs  with just 8 students, I am happy there are more than 800 students enrolled for free education in ten different schools in slums  of Noida” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson for Radio Noida.

“We want every child who cannot afford to pay in school should be part of this organization. We want to increase the number of schools so that more unprivileged students can be enrolled” added Marwah thanking  the large participation of the  community and especially Ritu Sinha who is the care taker of all the 10 schools.

Apna School is supported by World Peace Development And Research Foundation, International Children’s Film Forum and Radio Noida.


ASMS Observed Save Electricity Week





ASMS- Asian School of Media Studies observed the save electricity week 26th to 30th August and closed he campaign with a show comprising of a solemn pledge to work and practice saving energy for a better brighter tomorrow.

 The President of the college Sandeep Marwah brought to light the enormous consumption and parallel waste of this energy which was a cause of major concern at home, at campus and wherever humans dwell.

Sandeep Marwah further reiterated that soaring prices and the depleting energy was the responsibility of each citizen to out beat and contribute in a small way to cope with this crisis...avoid waste and save.

The evening was filled with message conveying songs and ghazals and screening of short films.....all this performance was kind courtesy student artists of ASMS.WE ARE INDEED PROUD OF THEM. The walls of the studio were adorned with handmade posters depicting SAVE ELECTRICITY and tag lines, slogans conveyed their sincerity to the noble cause  .The closure event was well attended by all faculty members, staff, students of ASMS.


International Children's Film Forum Completes 1000 shows


ICFF- International Children’s Film Forum of Marwah Studios completed 1000 special film shows organized for the school children being conducted at the Marwah Studios Complex in last few years.

“ICFF was created at Marwah studios to give value addition to film, TV and Media students and to give opportunity to children in entertainment industry” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on the completion of 1000 film shows.

ICFF conducts film workshops, seminars, symposiums, festivals, film productions, film courses for children throughout the year. Special viewings are organized at the villages and slums for unprivileged children also.


International Children’s Film Forum is complimentary to Children’s Film Society, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. ICFF is running 10 different schools under the name and banner Apna School in slums for 800 students free of cost.

Asian School of Communication Join Hands With Budapest Film Academy



Asian School of Media Studies ASC-an extension of Asian Academy of Film And Television Noida AAFT has joined hands with Budapest Film Academy of Hungary informed Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

“We have decided to sign an arrangement between the two institutions to promote students of both the Academies in films, television and media” said Jeno Hodi Director of Budapest Film Academy based in Budapest, Hungary.

The students of Asian School of Media Studies will get an opportunity to interact with the students and faculty of BFA during their education in India for their undergraduate and post graduate courses.


The students of Asian School of Communication will also be entitled to get their International certification from  Budapest Film Academy.

Sandeep Marwah Honored by Mahavira Channel on the Inauguration Day



 "We have around 900 channels in 28 languages, Not only that there is a huge competitions but the expectation of audience is also very high when new channel is launched in India” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on the launching of Mahavira Channel at New Delhi in the capacity of special guest.

A grand launching was organized by Mahavira Channel to high light the Jain Samaj and its activities all over the World. The channel will have all formats of programs including religious, spiritual, musical and fictional.

Later Sandeep Marwah was honored for his 25 years in media & five World Records by the Board of Directors including Madan Lal Jain, Digambar Bhai Jain, Ankur Jain, Dhanendra Jain, Rahul Jain, Tinu Jain and others.


AAFT Join Hands With Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society



AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television the Pioneer media school of the Nation join hands with renowned Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society for their forth coming programs in Delhi and Outside for the promotion of music in India.

“We can preserve our culture and heritage with the help of our own Indian music, it is not only essential but necessary to promote and reach to the audience” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and great music lover.

Asian Academy through its good office- Asian Academy of Arts and 12000 members in media will high light Indian classical music in 94 countries of the World. A special cell will be created for the performances of classical music in all the 10 film festivals Marwah Studios has given to the nation.


Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society will be felicitating Dr. M. Balamurli Krishna with Pt. Chaturlal Excellence Award followed by his performance on Friday, 30th August at Srifort Auditorium informed Shruti Chatur Lal Director of the Society.

9th Convocation of ASMS Brought New Media Persons to Industry



“A higher education is needed in India and especially in the field of Film and Television” said Kumar Shahani a veteran film maker and chairperson of the Academic Council of Asian School of Media Studies at the 9th convocation of ASMS at Marwah Studios. 

No film school has produced so many directors in series as this education centre, I am proud to be associated with ASMS” said AShoke Pandit President of Film Directors Association of India. “ I appreciate that ASMS maintaining full discipline even while conducting creative course, probably that is one of the reason of success of the students of this institution” added Rear Admiral O.P.S.Rana Director general of Naval Armament Inspection speaking from the dice.

More than 60 students received their graduate and Post Graduate degree in the field of Cinema, Mass Communication, Multi Media and Electronic Media. Most of the students have managed to get one or other job in the industry.


I am equally emotional right now as students are, the difference is today the color of my gown has changed and I am sitting on the stage” said Raza Murad while talking to the students. H.E. Joyker Nayek Dy. High Commissioner of Mauritius, Dr.Pradipsing Dinassing Counsellor Trade and Economic Affairs also motivated the students. AAFT Joins Hand With Indian Federation For Fashion Development



AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television the pioneer film, Tv and fashion institute joins hands with Indian Federation for Fashion Development informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios also on the board of IFFD.

The film and fashion school of AAFT will be participating in full swing in the forth coming event “The Runway Week” of the federation from 29th August to 1st Sept. 2013 at New Delhi. The students of fashion and Cinema will manage the day to day affairs of the show.

AAFT will be making a documentary on “preparing The Runway Week” and shall cover all the 20 events of this mega international show. The complete team of technicians, camera persons, director and other staff will get involved in the show.


“It will be a unique documentary which will express the hard work involved in making a grand show” said Sandeep Marwah. AAFT is a family of 12000 media professionals spread out in 92 countries of the World.

Spanish Delegation At Marwah Studios



A high powered delegation in association with Indo European Chamber of Small And Medium Enterprises visited Marwah Studios to develop new relations between India and Spain.
The IECSME was lead by Vijay Tewari Head India accompanied by Laxmi Thakur Singhal member Advisory Committee Ministry of Chemical & Fertilizes and ministry of renewable energy Government of India.

Spanish delegation is headed by IECSME representative from Spain Boulahfa Mimoun accompanied by Carmen Juanes Barciela, She is Secretary of Consumers and Users of the Provincial Committee of the PSOE in Salamanca. Juanes Is Deputy in the Congress of Deputies of Spain in the province of Salamanca since 2004, was re-elected in 2008. In the ninth legislature she is attached to Commission Spokesperson for Justice, Member of the Committee on Culture, Member of the Committee for International Cooperation for Development and Member of the Rules Committee. Delegation had also Miryam Hernandez a Chemical Engineer and Elena Uña an Entrepreneur.

Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios was invited by the Spanish politician to come and attend the Spanish film festival to start building better relations.

“Sandeep Marwah has set an example for the rest of the Nation that you can very well look after the unprivileged while handling your own profession and business” said Dr. A.K. Rastogi while reading out the citation on the National Imaan India Awards for social activities at New Delhi.

Sandeep Marwah has been in social activities from last twenty years including education, school of disability, primary school for unprivileged children, promotion of film, television and media through International Film And Television Club, Research Centre, Women’s Film Forum, Broadcasting Forum, Children’s Film Forum.

He has created World Peace Development And Research Foundation and spreading Peace through media. “I am indebted to the community for giving an opportunity to serve the nation in different capacity” said Sandeep Marwah humbly.

Indian Sports And Cultural Society Released Poster on International youth Day



‘Now 19 years in existence, the Indian Sports And Cultural Society has become pro active and opening 28 chapters in all the states of India to promote sports” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of ISCS at PHD Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of International Youth Day.

A poster stating “No Youth Without Sports” was released by Rajeev Gupta Secretary Youth Affairs, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs , Government of India to support the activities of PHD And ISCS. “ We are ready to give all support to such societies who are keen in developing youth and guiding them to the right path” Rajeev Gupta blessed the organization.

AAFT the First Institute to Educate on 3D Film Making




An feather in the cap of Asian Academy of Film And Television when AAFT became the first institute to provide education and training to its students on the techniques of   3D Film Making.

“We are the first one to call for 3D cameras and provide training to the cinematography students” said Prof. Kalyan Sarkar HOD Camera Department and Dean AAFT.

“We are proud of AAFTians who all are selected for 3D Film competition by Panasonic Dimensions, Hollywood, California” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Annu Kapoor was anchoring and hosting a musical evening in the memory of Kishore Kumar and Mohd. Rafi  at New Delhi. The Kishore Kumar’s numbers were sung by Prem Bhatia and Mohd. Rafi was sung by Ravindra Singh.

“I am very fond of both the singers and today I am blessed by both the legends of Indian Film Industry in the shape of this appreciation” thanked Marwah to the organizers.


AAFT Is Proud of Ajay Bahl of Feature Film B.A.Pass



‘ B.A. Pass’ is a 2013 Hindi Neo noir film, produced and directed by AAFTian  Ajay Bahl, and starring Shilpa Shukla, Shadab Kamal, Rajesh Sharma, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles. It is distributed by Bharat Shah's VIP films banner. The film is based on 2009 short story ‘The Railway Aunty’ by Mohan Sikka.
“I remember introducing Ajay Bahl to Santosh Shivam during his 15th batch at AAFT when we were shooting for feature film DILSE at Marwah Studios. He took keen interest in the film” recollected Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Noida Film City congratulating Ajay Bahl for his super venture.
At the 2012 Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema, the won the Best Film Award in the 'Indian competition' section, while debutante Shadab Kamal won the Best Actor award.  Later at the 2012 Montreal World Film Festival the film was part of the 'First Films World Competition where it was nominated for the Golden Zenith for the Best First Fiction Feature Film.
In January 2013, at the first South Asian Film Festival held in Paris it won The Prix Du Public (voted best film by the French Audience).

International Day Of Friendship Celebrated At Marwah Studios




The International Day of Friendship was proclaimed in 2011 by the UN General Assembly with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nation on the international Friendship Day at Noida Film City.
The Day is also intended to support the goals and objectives of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace and the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010).
To mark the International Day of Friendship the UN encourages governments, international organizations and civil society groups to hold events, activities and initiatives that contribute to the efforts of the international community towards promoting a dialogue among civilizations, solidarity, mutual understanding and reconciliation. The event was supported by WPDRF- World Peace Development And Research Foundation and ICFF-International Children’s Film Forum.

International Women’s Film Forum has emerged as one of the important organizations of Marwah Studios. IWFF- The voluntry association is working on every issue concerning women. Some of the most prominent ladies of the country are the members of this organization.

 
Recently Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios presented the life membership of International Women’s Film Forum to renowned actress Neetu Chandra on her visit to Marwah Studios, who has created a wonderful niece for herself in Indian film Industry in no time.

 
Neetu Chandra started her carrier with feature film Garam Masala and then no looking back. She has already worked in more than 25 films in Hindi, Telgu, Tamil and also performed in Greek film. She is also the producer of Bhojpuri film.

Neetu Chandra famous for her roles in Traffic Signal, Garam Masala, Appartment, No Problem etc. spoke her heart out and narrated her journey into the film industry from Bihar.

 
“Strong determination, positive thinking and continuous efforts can only make you reach to the top” condensed the young actress while answering to the large number of questions from the media students.

 
Irish Educationist Cooke John presented on the occasion also spoke to the students. He said” Enthusiasm to learn and zest to perform can take you to your destination”.

 

Pink Chain- A Cancer Awareness Program Launched





The campaign called the “Pink Chain’’ was formally announced at a function held at Hotel Ashok on Monday evening by Union Minister for Science and Technology S. Jaipal Reddy,  Minister of Culture Smt.Chandresh Kumari katoch, Actor Neetu Chandra & Swara Bhaskar and media baron Sandeep Marwah. It has been introduced to ensure that the younger generation is made aware about the social and preventive aspects of cancer (mainly breast, lung, oral and cervical) across India.

 Dr. Abhishek Shankar, working in the Oncology Department at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences is the main coordinator for the campaign, said, “Pink Chain is supported by eminent oncologists from AIIMS, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and many more institutes. There will be lecture sessions on various aspects of cancer, with special emphasis on prevention and early detection by eminent oncologists, interactive session with students and screening and general health check up by an expert.’’

The program will cover 40 colleges of Delhi University and will reach out to 20,000 youth in order to educate them about the various aspects of cancer.

Kiara Advani Signed Opposite Mohit Marwah by Akshay Kumar in Fugly




Mumbai: B Town superstar Akshay Kumar, who has given a break to Anil Kapoor's nephew, Mohit Marwah as male lead for his flick Fugly, has finally found a fresh face Kiara Advani to play female lead in the venture.

Recently, she has been signed for the pivotal role in the forthcoming film. Kiara will make her acting debut apposite Mohit. She will portray the actor's lady love and the upcoming movie Fugly will be directed by Kabir Sadanand. 

While praising the talented girl, Kabir said,"Yes, we have signed Kiara. She was outstanding during the auditions and we think she is the right choice for the role."

The newcomer always wanted to work in the films, now she has eventually got the chance in Khiladi Kumar's project. 

Excitingly one of the close source shared, "She always wanted to be an actress. Getting a role in Akshay's film is a big opportunity. She is leaving no stone unturned to get the right body language required for the role."

Advani's family has very good terms with the Bollywood god father Salman Khan. Even he kept on guiding her about the industry. Even Salman also wanted to 
launch her in his upcoming project but due to his close friend Yardi he left the idea behind.

ASMS Honored Ambassador of Belgium With Life Membership of IFTRC



“It is my pleasure and honor to hand over the life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre of Asian School of Media Studies to H.E. Pierre Vaesen on this auspicious day of inauguration of 10th Batch of ASMS” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios honoring Ambassador of Kingdom of Belgium.

“It is the beginning of a new relationship and a new chapter of developing relationship between India and Belgium through art and culture” said H.E. Pierre Vaesen accepting the membership.

Later Antoine Delcourt Counsellor Economic Affairs, Christophe Van Overstraeten First Secretary Trade & Investment, Jos De Clercq First Secretary Trade & Investment Flanders and Abel Garamhegyi Vice President of Barco Electronic Systems were also honored with the life membership of IFTC International Film And Television Club.

The event was attended by the new batch of film, journalism, multimedia and fashion students of Asian School of Media Studies.



10th Batch of ASMS Inaugurated by Ambassador of Belgium




The two countries India and Belgium can develop wonderful relations not only through trade but also through cultural exchange. I am impressed by the work done by this group of people in film, television, media and education” said H.E. Pierre Vaesen Ambassador of Kingdom of Belgium in India inaugurating 10th Batch of Asian School of Media Studies at Marwah Studios Noida.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Antoine Delcourt Counsellor Economic Affairs, Christophe Van Overstraeten First Secretary Trade & Investment, Jos De Clercq First Secretary Trade & Investment Flanders and Abel Garamhegyi Vice President of Barco Electro Systems who all also expressed themselves from the dice of Asian School of Media Studies.


‘This visit is a formal extension of the association of Marwah Studios, and Asian Education Group, with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in extending cultural exchange and beginning of the Indo-Belgium Film & Cultural Forum” added Sandeep Marwah explaining achievements of the institution.


This was followed by the remarks of Prof. R.K. Singh Vice President ASMS, Prof Anugyan Nag and vote of thanks by Dr Shobha Director ASMS.
