I.K.Gujral A Great Scholar Is No More-Sandeep Marwah

“I had the honor and privilege to share the dice with former Prime Minister of India I K Gujral Sahib, he was a great scholar, a freedom fighter and an experience and seasoned politician” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. “We started a national body on his recommendation called ‘Hum Sab Ek Hain’ and tried to cover few topics in the shape of seminars and discussion which should bring people of the society close to each other” Marwah added and recollected his visits to Marwah Studios for recording for different channels. I have spent some of the rarest movements with Gujral Sahib in studios. His pre partition stories narrated by him made me cry. His deep voice and vocabulary of words put any body to shame. International Conference on Cooperative Movement At New Delhi

An international conference on the cooperative movement in India has been organized by the World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Asian Society of Film And Television during the International Cooperative Year as declared by the United Nation informed Chandrapal Singh Yadav former Member Parliament Chairperson of National Cooperative Union of India and Vice Chairperson of International Cooperative Alliance Asia Pacific. The conference will have four sessions inaugural and followed by technical session on the first day and on the second day technical session will be followed by valedictory session on 5th and 6th of December. This years’ edition of the Chivas Studio saw Karan Johar and Chivas presenting a short film directed by Shakun Batra, a tale of real friendship titled “Strangers in the Night”. Sandeep Marwah-A Brief on Professional Life

Sandeep Marwah always wanted to be in films and that was for sure that it had to be more than acting. After gathering ample information from theatre, television and radio he thought of having a film city in North India. 1986 Sandeep Marwah submitted a project of Film city to Noida Authority, an idea which was out right rejected by all the different authorities of Delhi Administration for lack of interest and space. Then the Chairman & CEO of Noida Yogesh Chandra accepted the project which was cleared by Late Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh of Uttar Pradesh Government in 1987 December. In 1988 allotments were made and Sandeep Marwah was quoted as FOUNDER OF NOIDA FILM CITY. The name of Marwah got connected with Gulshan Kumar of T Series Yash Chopra of Aditodya Studios, Ramesh Prasad of LV Prasad Studios, Boney Kapoor of Surinder Kapoor Studios and F.C. Mehra of Eagle Studios to whom he brought in to establish the film city. Marwah Studios- In 1991 Marwah Films And Video Studios became the first professional Studios of North India. It has been 21 years Marwah Studios providing its services to the Nation and has churned out more than 4000 television programs for more than 50 channels and 120 feature films in more than 8 languages and approx. 5000 training films. Marwah Studios is also the birth place for number of channels like ZEE TV, Sahara, Pragya, Mahua, ETV, NDTV, STAR NEWS, etc. Asian Academy Of Film And Television-Sandeep Marwah realized the need of man power in this country. He founded & established the first private film school of the country under the name and banner of Asian Academy Of Film & Television in 1993. There were only three training centers in the country earlier including FTII Pune, Cheenai Film School and Jamia Milia Mass Communication & Research Centre. FLORENCE MISS UP 2012 LOGO LAUNCHING AT MARWAH STUDIOS

To promote the young talent ‘Beauty and Mind’ in Uttar Pradesh a well planned program has been launched by the group of people under the name and banner of Florence Miss UP 2012 today from Noida. “We have announced three scholarships to the first best three girls of the competition who can enroll themselves in the acting courses at Asian Academy Of Film And Television” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios who is also associated with the competition. Seminar on Cooperative Movement And Film Finance at 5th GFFN

Film finance is the most important part of film making. The digitalization of cinema has brought some relief to film maker but in large nothing moves without money” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN. Financing for cinema through cooperative movement was the subject of third seminar at 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012. Pankaj Rakesh of ASC-Uclan initiated the topic .Then it was case study expressed by K.Hariharan followed by Pankaj Parashar who also narrated his initiative for cooperative movement. Dr. Daman Prakash former director of International Cooperative Alliance encouraged audience to come forward in cooperative finance. “Manthan is the good example of cooperative finance, and recently awarded film I AM is another example” added Dr.Dinesh Executive Secretary of National Cooperative Union of India. Subhash Gupta Managing Director of Bank Cooperatives also gave his opinion on the subject. Vinod Lamba the President of Film Federation Of India was never in the favor of cooperative finance as it leads to confusion and mis- understandings. Renowned writer, producer, film director K. Hariharan was invited by the 5th Global Film Festival Noida to conduct a workshop on the subject all the way from Chennai. 5th Global Film Festival Promotes Mahatma Gandhi Forum

This year 5th Global Film Festival Noida was dedicated to 100 years of Cinema. Not only seminars, workshops even posters were representing the best of 100 years of Indian cinema. An exhibition of 100 posters representing different years of Indian Cinema was inaugurated by renowned film Director and Editor David Dhawan on the second day of 5th GFFN. Comedy In Indian Cinema-Workshop By David Dhawan at 5th GFFN

David Dhawan started off as an editor and then took the plunge into directing. He specializes in directing comedy films, most of which have featured Govinda, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, with Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Katrina Kaif playing the leading actresses. Seminar: Changing Trends In Indian Cinema At 5th GFF

“There is a change in technology, change in contents, change in presentation and 100 years of cinema has grown from silent to talkies to digital, from black and white to color” said Sandeep Marwah initiating the discussion at the seminar during 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012. Ashok Tyagi related cinema to the changing trends in politics. Malti Sahai talked about the contents. Pankaj Parashar spoke about the technonology in cinema. Oleg Silvanovich Of Belarus Visited Sandeep Marwah of India

Oleg Silvanovich the former Dy Minister of Culture of Belarus now General Director of National Film Studio who is also the part of the delegation of Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich now in India visited five times International record holder Sandeep Marwah at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. “I am here in India to promote and develop our relations with India through film, Television and Media and who can be better than Sandeep Marwah who is the representative of Film Federation Of India and heading the Asian Media Group of 10000 media persons” said Oleg Silvanovich extending the invitation to Sandeep Marwah to come to Belarus. Sandeep Marwah offered all the film and television training setup to Belarus and showed interest in producing feature film in a joint venture. World Peace Foundation Brochure Released At 5th GFFN

An international body World Peace Development And Research Foundation recognized by International Cooperative Alliance, United Nation and Government of India released its brochure at 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 to highlight the activities of the foundation. This United Nation approved body WPDRF is going to have its World Conference on Cooperative Movement on 5th and 6th of December at New Delhi. A forum after the name of modern architect of India and former Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru highlighted at 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 by the distinguished guest Gabrielle Kelly, Pankaj Parashar, Counselor of Embassy of Bosnia etc. The purpose of the forum is to highlight the ideology of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Display by film companies, book sellers, equipment suppliers, television Channels, TV producers, entertainment stalls and lots of eatables were the part of Film Market at 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 at Noida Film City. The renowned film director Pankaj Parashar inaugurated the market section where Asian Education Group also exhibited their achievements through AAFT, ASMS, ABS, ASC, ASGA and ASPA schools of cinema, TV and Management. The participants were from all over India including media companies from Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, Delhi etc.

Workshop By American Film Maker Gabrielle Kelly

A workshop-International Story telling for Global Market Place conducted by the American Film Maker Gabrielle Kelly who is also the faculty at Tisch School Of Arts, New York University planned by the 5th Global Film Festival Noida on the first day of the festival. Born in Ireland, educated in England with a BA in American Studies from the University of Sussex and an extensive filmmaking career in the USA, Gabrielle Kelly is a screenwriter and producer of diverse content for the global marketplace who also teaches in international labs and film programs. She is the recipient of two Fulbright Awards: one in screenwriting at TNUA, Taiwan and the second as writer/mentor in the screenwriting /producing Lab for the ASEAN Independent Cinema Project in the Philippines. Following a career in book publishing in New York, she worked with NY based director Sidney Lumet and screenwriter/producer Jay Presson Allen on films such as Daniel, Prince of the City, Deathtrap, The Verdict and others. Additional projects developed included work with Andy Warhol's Factory on an audio-animatronic show From A to Z and Back Again, musical La Cages aux Folles with Mike Nichols and scripts for Malcolm McClaren and CBS Theatrical Films. In Hollywood she ran producer Robert Evans’ company at Paramount working in development and production on a slate of diverse projects and worked as executive and producer with such companies as HBO, Fields Hellman, Eddie Murphy Productions and Warner Bros.

Anand Narain Painting Exhibition Inaugurated At 5th Global Festival

The Painting exhibition curated by Asian Academy Of Arts for the opening day of 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 was of renowned painter Anand Narain placed at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. I have always believed that films are never away from fine arts be it a painting, writing, dance, drama, music rather it’s a display of fine arts in a cinema language” said Sandeep Marwah introducing artist to the cinema fraternity. “I love doing paintings, but the works of Anand Narain is out of this World. Late Rajesh Khanna Honored With Life Time Achievement Award At 5th GFFN

“Rajesh Khanna appeared in a total of 180 films - 163 feature films and 17 short films He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He received the most BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) – four times and nominated 25 times informed Sandeep Marwah President GFFN. In 1991, Rajesh Khanna was awarded the Filmfare Special Award for completing 25 years in the industry, appearing in a record 101 films as the single lead hero in a span of 25 years.
