Seminar on Cooperative Movement And Film Finance at 5th GFFN

Film finance is the most important part of film making. The digitalization of cinema has brought some relief to film maker but in large nothing moves without money” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN. Financing for cinema through cooperative movement was the subject of third seminar at 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012. Pankaj Rakesh of ASC-Uclan initiated the topic .Then it was case study expressed by K.Hariharan followed by Pankaj Parashar who also narrated his initiative for cooperative movement. Dr. Daman Prakash former director of International Cooperative Alliance encouraged audience to come forward in cooperative finance. “Manthan is the good example of cooperative finance, and recently awarded film I AM is another example” added Dr.Dinesh Executive Secretary of National Cooperative Union of India. Subhash Gupta Managing Director of Bank Cooperatives also gave his opinion on the subject. Vinod Lamba the President of Film Federation Of India was never in the favor of cooperative finance as it leads to confusion and mis- understandings. Seminar finished with a very strong note to start small budget films with small finance for small territoties.
