Sandeep Marwah-A Brief on Professional Life

Sandeep Marwah always wanted to be in films and that was for sure that it had to be more than acting. After gathering ample information from theatre, television and radio he thought of having a film city in North India. 1986 Sandeep Marwah submitted a project of Film city to Noida Authority, an idea which was out right rejected by all the different authorities of Delhi Administration for lack of interest and space. Then the Chairman & CEO of Noida Yogesh Chandra accepted the project which was cleared by Late Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh of Uttar Pradesh Government in 1987 December. In 1988 allotments were made and Sandeep Marwah was quoted as FOUNDER OF NOIDA FILM CITY. The name of Marwah got connected with Gulshan Kumar of T Series Yash Chopra of Aditodya Studios, Ramesh Prasad of LV Prasad Studios, Boney Kapoor of Surinder Kapoor Studios and F.C. Mehra of Eagle Studios to whom he brought in to establish the film city. Marwah Studios- In 1991 Marwah Films And Video Studios became the first professional Studios of North India. It has been 21 years Marwah Studios providing its services to the Nation and has churned out more than 4000 television programs for more than 50 channels and 120 feature films in more than 8 languages and approx. 5000 training films. Marwah Studios is also the birth place for number of channels like ZEE TV, Sahara, Pragya, Mahua, ETV, NDTV, STAR NEWS, etc. Asian Academy Of Film And Television-Sandeep Marwah realized the need of man power in this country. He founded & established the first private film school of the country under the name and banner of Asian Academy Of Film & Television in 1993. There were only three training centers in the country earlier including FTII Pune, Cheenai Film School and Jamia Milia Mass Communication & Research Centre. It has been 19 years and institute has churned out more than 9000 students hailing from 28 states 7 union territories of India and 90 countries of the World. AAFT has given some of the finest names to the film, television and media world. The former Minister of Information and Broadcasting Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Miss Universe Ximenna Navarrate, Miss India Hasleen Kaur, Writer Rajat Arora, Director Atul Sabarwal, Luv Ranjan, MR Gladrax Ahran Choudhary, Actor Arjun Kapoor, TV Presenter Ajay Kumar, Anurag Tomar, Preeti Tripathi are some of the successful names. International Film And Television Club- Sandeep Marwah established IFTC in 1993 to promote films culture in North and to give value addition to education at AAFT. IFTC conducts many film related programs and started film festivals for the country including AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films [77th Edition], ASMS Festival of Short Films [10th Edition], International Festival of Cellphone Cinema [6th Edition], WECARE Film Festival [10th Edition], ASC Festival of Films [2nd Edition], International Sufi Film Festival [3rd Edition] and Global Film Festival [6th Edition]. International Film And Television Research Centre-Sandeep Marwah also started IFTRC in 1993 to give a higher platform to film business and to add sincerely to film education. IFTRC has been conducted workshops, seminars, symposiums, interaction programs, research programs related to films and television. It has a documentation department where books, journals, news letters, papers are being published ands distributed. Marwah Films And Video Production-Sandeep Marwah started MFVP in 1993 to give opportunity to young talent to get their beginning from the day one. Marwah has produced more than 1800 short films under the banner and also created a World Record for himself. He has worked with 1100 new directors and technicians & artist from 90countroies of the World. MFVP has a film production wing where films like Arrial, Coffee House, I AM, Riyasat, Naazuk Sa Modh etc have been produced.Asian School Of Media Studies-University of Media Arts. Sandeep Marwah always wanted to give a very serious look to the studies of Indian Cinema and created first ever film university for Cinema in the World. A University under the name and banner of University of Media Arts was created by Act of Law in 2003. Sandeep Marwah was nominated by the Government as the first Vice Chancellor of the University. Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses were started in no time with a huge plans. Unfortunately after three years Government could not sustain the University and had to close down. That gave birth to Asian School Of Media Studies-the first film degree college of the country. ASMS with its 8 degree courses now a very popular & exclusive media school of the country with twin certification programs. Asian Business School- With the rising demand of educated professionals in different industries and technical fields Sandeep Marwah decided to open a Management and Business School in this part of the country. Seeing its exclusivity and standards Government of India empowered Marwah to bestow its own approved AIECT Diploma on the lines of IIM in the country. Masters in Business Administration MBA is the most powerful course running in the World Class infrastructure in Noida at Marwah Studios Complex II. International Children’s Film Forum- ICFF is an exclusive body of Sandeep Marwah which is contributing to the society especially to children through films. Children’s Courses, Film Shows, Film Festivals, Workshops, training programs, screenings at villages and slums and helping Children’s Film Society of India is the purpose. Under this forum more than 10 schools called Apna School are being taken care of consisting of 1000 unprivileged students from slums. Apni Library, Apni Silai Ghar are some of the other programs are being taken care too. International Public Broadcasting Forum- IPBF A forum has been created to look into the film, TV and Radio productions. The Marwah management commissions programs to other film, TV and media professionals to come forward to contribute to the society through social programs. A World Record has been marked during 19th Commonwealth Games Delhi when Marwah Team walked with the Queen’s Baton and covered 1000 hours of filming, 10,000 pictures, 102 short films of 2 minutes for daily international telecast, 102 Radio Programs by covering 28 states 7 union territories, 20,000 KM, 300 events, 900 cities in 102 days. Government of India rewarded Marwah with A WORLD RECORD.
