Mohit Marwah Honored With Hindi Cinema Samman
New Delhi: Renowned actor Mohit Marwah was honored with Hindi Cinema Samman for his extra ordinary performance in feature film Raag Desh in a jam-packed auditorium of Vigyan Bhawan.

Raag Desh is 2017 Indian period drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal and RSTV. The film is based on Indian National Army trials, the joint court martial of Indian National Army officers Colonel Prem Sehgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, Major Shah Nawaz Khan. Mohit Marwah, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor respectively, have played the lead roles in the film. Rishi Punjabi is the cinematographer of the film. The film was released on July 28, 2017

The award was handed over by Senior actor Jackie Shroff, President of Indian Motion Picture and Television Producers Association President T.P.Agarwal and General Secretary of CINTAA- Cine and Television Artists Association Sushant Singh at Vigyan Bhawan.

“I am lucky to portrait Col. Sehgal In the story who is a very important part of Indian history. This film has taught me the difficulties our seniors have gone through in bringing independence to this country. I salute all Indian forces for supporting this film,” said Mohit Marwah.

The most popular and the oldest out of all-AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is the only festival in the World to touch 96th edition, the only festival which happens four times a year, the only festival where 2000 directors and 10,000 technicians have been given platform to showcase their debut film.

We have done a lot in last so many years, now this has become my world record and has been registered in the books of Vajra World Record Book too,” said Sandeep Marwah sharing excitement with his team.

‘Vajra world records’ is the Indian equivalent to the Guinness Book of World Records with emphasis on unique achievements of Indians within the country and abroad. It's a salute to all those Indians who want to do something different and be remembered for their distinctive deeds.

 New Delhi: The environment became emotional on playing popular numbers from Hindi cinema  on piano by Gurbani Bhatia,at Vigyan Bhawan during the newly constituted National level Hindi Cinema awards under the title Hindi Cinema Samman organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“It was a unique idea to have a piano recital during an award function at Vigyan Bhawan. But the whole ambience changed and it brought closeness in the whole affair,” said Shatrughan Sinha Chairman of Hindi Samman Samaroh Samiti.

“I feel like singing and dancing on the popular Hindi tunes today played at the national awards. It is a judicial mix of entertainment and education,” said Jackie Shroff Hindi Cinema Gaurav Samman Vijeta.

“What a presentation, every number played was displaying the history of Hindi cinema,” said B.N.Tewari President FWICE.

Vijay Goel Minister for State Parliamentary Affairs and Statistical Implementation Government of India handed over the award to Komal Nahata. Komal Nahata  is a Bollywood trade analyst and one of the most respected journalists of Hindi Cinema. He is the publisher of "Film Information" and also a television show host. He is an anchor of the trade show ETC Bollywood Business on the Bollywood TV channels ETC and Zee Cinema. He is in the advisory board of Cinema Capital and other top companies. Vijay Goel Minister for State Parliamentary Affairs and Statistical Implementation Government of India handed over the award to CINTAA General Secretary Sushant Singh to be presented over to Dilip Kumar at Mumbai who could not make it because of his ill health.

Dilip Kumar is an Indian film actor, producer, screenwriter, and activist, known for his work in Hindi cinema. Also known as the Tragedy King, he is credited with bringing realism to film acting since his first film which was released in 1944 informed Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.

 He is considered one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time. He has been described as "the ultimate method actor" by Satyajit Ray. Dilip Kumar was one of the biggest Indian movie stars, and a pioneer of method acting, predating Hollywood method actors such as Marlon Brando.

“This is for the first time I am sharing the dice with giant and my senior Shatrughan Sinha. This is the first time I am on the stage of Vigyan Bhawan. Sushant is an Indian film, character actor, television actor and presenter known for his works predominantly in Hindi cinema. He made his film debut in 1998 with Ram Gopal Varma's Satya. He rose to stardom with the 2000 film Jungle, and received rave reviews for portraying slain bandit, Durga Narayan Chaudhary. He then went on to star in period dramas such as Ambedkar, and The Legend of Bhagat Singh, and established himself in the industry.

Shatrughan Sinha is the only film star who has been Union Minister in Government of India for two times. He has been in films since 1969.

On September 19, 2016 the United Nations General Assembly adopted a set of commitments during its first ever summit on large movements of refugees and migrants to enhance the protection of refugees and migrants.

Migration draws increasing attention in the world nowadays. Mixed with elements of unforeseeability, emergency, and complexity, the challenges and difficulties of international migration require enhanced cooperation and collective action among countries and regions Marwah added who also chairing WPDRF-World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

The United Nations is actively playing a catalyst role in this area, with the aim of creating more dialogues and interactions within countries and regions, as well as propelling experience exchange and collaboration opportunities.
