Mumbai: Renowned film and television personality Sandeep Marwah with five world records to his credit, honored with the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award for his untiring contribution to Cinema today at Chitrakoot Grounds in Mumbai.

Sandeep Marwah has been the founder of Noida Film City, the fastest growing film city in the World. AAFT and the High Commission of Canada celebrate National Canadian Film Day 2018



 
National Canadian Film Day Celebrated at AAFT



April.2018, Noida: To mark the fifth annual National Canadian Film Day (NCFD 2018), the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), hosted a special screening of the film ‘The Sun at Midnight’ for students in their Noida campus today. Celebrated every year on April 18, this is the first time that the National Canadian Film Day has been celebrated in India. 

Organized in partnership with the High Commission of Canada in India, the spotlight for NCFD 2018 is on Canadian Indigenous cinema and women filmmakers. This theme is a reflection of the Government of Canada’s focus on promoting women’s rights and diversity and inclusion. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Soyoung Park, the Deputy High Commissioner for Canada to India said, “I am very happy to be here today as we celebrate National Canadian Film Day. We are pleased to hold this special screening at AAFT. It is a great opportunity to promote Canadian cinema and Canadian values around gender equality and inclusion.” 

“We extend our greetings to Ms Soyoung and Candian High Commission for the confidence extended toward us. We will work together and support Canadian High Commission for their motive of Promoting Women’s Rights. International Women’s Film Forum will join us to be part of our activities,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. 

The Sun at Midnight, directed by a brilliant woman director, Kirsten Carthew, is set in the Canadian Arctic. The film tells the story of an unexpected friendship between a First Nations hunter and a teenage rebel.

Noida: A team of representatives of one of the most popular spiritual organization Brahma Kumaris based in Mount Abu decided to join hands with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television to promote art and Culture of India.

Noida: The Education Minister of the State of Chhattisgarh Shri Prem Prakash Pandey was the special guest at Marwah Studios, film city Noida on the invitation of Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group.

A tour to film city and Marwah Studios was organized to give first hand information to the Minister about the activities of the centre in the field of films, television and media.

Sandeep Marwah briefed the minister with the five World Records he has created in this industry and presented him his two books mentioning the 100 organizations he has been chairing. Marwah also briefed him about the 100 international awards he has brought to India, which is largest number of appreciation any Indian has brought so far.

A radio coverage by in house radio station- Radio Noida 107.4FM and TV coverage by in house TV station- MSTV were also planned for the Minister.
Honorable Minister had one to one conversation with the students of different discipline to assess the quality of education being provided at Asian Academy of Film And Television. AAFT is the oldest skill development institution in India.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored the Cabinet Minister of the State Shri Prem Parkash Pandey with the life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre of AAFT. Prem Prakash Pandey is a Bharatiya Janata Party Member of the Legislative Assembly from Bhilai Nagar in Chhattisgarh. He is one of the architects of Chhattisgarh, which was formed in 2000 after the bifurcation of Madhya Pradesh. He is currently serving as the Cabinet Minister in Chhattisgarh State Government.

Varanasi: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited was in Varanasi admiring the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating tourism activities in the District.

“We are fully prepared for this event. 40 countries have shown their interest in fashion and design industry. We are sure by the end of the week this will be turn out to be one of the biggest Fashion Weeks of the Republic of India,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

One Hundred and sixty  known and new designers are participating in the fashion and design week. We are opening seven exhibitions to show case the design related to garments, jewelry, house hold products, office and restaurant furniture. Other than paintings and sculpture, sketching and photography exhibitions,” added Sandeep Marwah.

Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid Presented With Patronship of IMFCF

Noida: The High Commission of Malaysia to India and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, to promote relations through art and culture, jointly launched an organization under the name and banner of IMFCF- Indo Malaysian Film And Cultural Forum on the first day of 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah presented the first Patronship of the association to H.E. Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid High Commissioner of Malaysia to India in a grand function at Marwah Studios in the presence of professionals from the films, television, media and fashion fraternity.

Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1992. He was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan since 2014 prior to his appointment as High Commissioner of Malaysia to India.

 He was previously the Deputy Director at the South East Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) from 2011 to 2014, Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2011 and Counsellor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei from 2005 to 2007.

 Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid had also served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 1999 to 2003 and as Second Secretary at the High Commission of Malaysia in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 1996 to 1999.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia to India H.E. Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid announced the formation of Indo Malaysian Film And Cultural Forum as a gift to 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week as a part and parcel of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“India and Malaysia enjoy a very strong bonding, we have wonderful diplomatic relations. To strengthen our relations we will work more through cultural diplomacy. Formation of Indo Malaysian Cultural Forum is a step towards the same,” said H.E Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid High Commissioner of Malaysia while launching the forum.

Sandeep Marwah, six world record holder in media, has been earlier honored with some of the best titles from all over the World as Global Green Ambassador, World Cultural Minister, Global Cultural Minister, Man of Asia, Personality of the Decade, International Media Guru, Global Cultural Ambassador. His reach is now to 145 countries of the World. Recently he has been awarded Doctorate from Serbia and USA. He has been also honored in House of Common in British Parliament as Peace Ambassador and Champion of Wales in Cardiff.

India and Malaysia both countries are full members of the Commonwealth of Nations, Asian Union and G15. Various cultural and historical ties that date back to antiquity also connect India and Malaysia. The two countries are on excellently friendly terms with each other seeing as Malaysia is home to a strong concentration of Indian immigrants.

Noida: The 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 today started its national and international activities with full new energy to create a wonderful position for the festival in international market.

Last week festival started with the curtain raiser when 54 delegates from 24 countries of the World participated in Global Summit on ‘Skill Development in Fashion And Design Industry’ in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship.

“We are different from other fashion weeks as we have added a very important segment of Design to the fashion week. Design is a wider term and it includes garments, furniture, jewelry, interior designing, cars, buildings etc. and  has become now part of every industry on this earth,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of 2nd GFDW-2018.

 President PHD Chamber of Commerce And Industry Anil Khaitan along with former Haryana Minister Krishna Murti Hudda, International Marketing Manager at The Handicrafts and Handlooms Exports corporation of India Limited K.C.Shakdwepee, Jwelery Designer Abhishek Tiwari, Film personality Pradeep Kukerja, a renowned acchitect Aashish Sharma, Mrs IndiaUniverse-Style Icon Babita Choudhury inaugurated the first Session.

Every one expressed their definition of fashion and design and shared their experience of the industry.Later Sandeep Marwah presented al the delegates with memento of 2ndGFDWN 2018 and Ritu Lall paid vote of thanks. The formal function followed by a grand fashion show by the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

The 3 day fashion and design week showcased Painting, furniture and jewelry exhibitions. There were workshops, seminars, interactions, screening of films, fashion shows and entertainment programs. The delegates from all over India and abroad have registered them for the shows. 160 designers participated with around 700 dresses presented in 9 major shows in 63 segments.

The festival director Ritu Lal said, ”We are very keen in developing and promoting young talent of this country. Many new designers have taken keen interest in the show”. The launching of Indo Malaysian Cultural Forum today, is the beginning of many activities together,” said H.E. A life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre was presented to Srishti Kaur former Miss Universe Teen. The memento of the festival was handed over to the entire guests.

A brochure containing information of passing out students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design was released from the same stage. The exhibition of furniture was opened immediately after the formal inauguration. Director Festival Ritu Lal paid vote of thanks.
