Africa World Heritage Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: Since the proclamation of African World Heritage Day in 2015 by the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, every 5 May, African cultural and natural, tangible and intangible heritage is celebrated across the globe, raising awareness of the benefits of its promotion and preservation, as well as the related challenges the continent faces,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Patron to many African Organizations.

UNESCO is committed to spearhead international efforts to draw on the vast potential of Africa’s cultural and natural heritage as a force for poverty reduction and social cohesion as well as a driver of sustainable development and innovation.

“As the world enters a second year of this devastating pandemic, engaging with our cultural and natural heritage remains crucial for humanity. This engagement helps us to be more connected, more resilient, more able to protect the legacy of the past and hand it down to future generations. African World Heritage, which we celebrate every year on this day, is essential in this respect – not only for the people of Africa, but for all of humankind. ” Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry read the message of Audrey Azoulay, Director-General, on the occasion of African World Heritage Day during the event designed at Noida Film City.

The event was supported by Indo Nigerian Film And Cultural Forum, Indo South Africa, Indo Lesotho, Indo Gambia, Indo Gabon, Indo Ghana, Indo Sudan, Indo Egypt, Indo Tunisia, Indo Rwanda, Indo Senegal, Indo Malawi, Indo Ethiopia, Indo Zimbabwe, Indo Botswana, Indo Comoros and Indo Mauritius Film and Cultural Forum.

New Delhi: The renowned film, television and media personality Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts was the Special Invitee at National Day of Gambia.

“I on behalf of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Jainaba Jagne Ambassador of Gambia and the people of Gambia on this special day,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

 “We have best of the relations with India and will enhance these relations in the next few years through arts and culture,” added H.E. Jainaba Jagne Ambassador of Gambia to India.

Independence Day of Gambia Celebrated at Marwah Studios


Noida: “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the High Commissioner and the people of Republic of Gambia on their national Day (Independence Day) which falls on  18th February,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Only last year ICMEI created Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum during Global Fashion And Design Week in the presence of H.E. Jainaba Jagne High Commissioner of Gambia to India. In a span of all these months ample has been planned and projected under this committee.

Recently, a scholarship to study films in India has also been presented to the Ambassador at the Embassy. H. E. Jainaba Jagne was also invited to Global Festival of Journalism and MOU between High Commission of Gambia and ICMEI has also been signed.

Indo Gambia Cultural Forum Announces Scholarship

Noida: IGFCF- Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry announced a scholarship for the deserving student from Gambia.

Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI handed over a scholarship to H.E. Jainaba Jagne The Ambassador of Gambia to India at the Embassy of Gambia in New Delhi.

Scholarship includes a course fee of short-term course of AAFT along with boarding and lodging for the student for a period of three months. It also includes the film production charges.

“The Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum was recently formed and inaugurated by Her Excellency Jainaba Jagne during second Fashion week in last April. That time ICMEI has promised to provide this scholarship to Gambia,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“There is lot to do with the country of Gambia, this is just the start,” added Marwah. “We are thankful to ICMEI, AAFT and Marwah Studios for providing this beautiful benefit to us. Soon a deserving student will be here to be the part of Indian Film Industry,” said H.E. Jainaba Jagne.

ICMEI Will Exchange Art And Culture With All African Countries

Noida: After the successful launching of Indo Nigerian Film Association, Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum, Indo Senegal, Indo Egypt, Indo Gabon, Indo Gambia, Indo South Africa, Indo Lesotho, Indo Botswana, Indo Sudan and Indo Malawi Film And Cultural Forum ICMEI decided to join hands with every African country under Indo African Cultural Association.

“The continent of Africa has 52 countries and we are already dealing with around 30 countries, it is the high time we should have an Indo African Association to highlight our relations with Africa,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Asian Education Group.

ICMEI has join hands with, to start with, Association of African Students in India and started planning what all ICMEI and Asian Academy of Film And Television can do to have better relations with African Countries.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with AASI to project relations with African Countries. Merviel Ntambwe President AASI, Maryam Abdulhamid Vice President AASI, Ezeugo Nnamdi Lawrence General Secretary AASI, Solomon Member AASI, Ajeck  Norbert Event Coordinator and Foster Addo Public Relations Coordinator were also present there.

Noida: 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 brought many new waves to the working of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. One of them was formation of Indo Gambian Film And Cultural Forum.

The Ambassador of Gambia to India Her Excellency Jainaba Jagne nominated Sandeep Marwah renowned film and television personality as the leader of the forum and crowned him as the chair for the same.

“We have talent here, an institution in himself, we need to look around. Sandeep Marwah will do justice to the association,” said H.E. Jainaba Jagne while handing over the memento to Marwah in a grand function.

I am charged with new responsibility, I an eager to do something new and different. We will show results to the World. I thank Her Excellency for trusting us and showering the blessings on us,” said Sandeep Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah has six world records to his credit. His team is as enthusiastic as he is. Marwah has added large number of interest to his basket and all of them are successful.

Noida: “No can be better advisor and mentor to the organization created to develop and promote relation between India and Gambia, than the Ambassador of Gambia H.E Jainaba Jagne herself,” said Sandeep Marwah President o Marwah Studios and Chairman of IGFCF while handing over the patronship to the Ambassador.

An organization has been carved out to promote art and culture of both the countries. International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Embassy of Gambia will work together.

“I am honored to be associated with IGFCF today launched at the international platform of 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018. We will take the relations to new level, “said H.E. Jainaba Jagne.

“I on behalf of the office bearer of the Chamber and the fifteen thousand members of ICMEI congratulate Ambassador of Gambia for joining hands and promoting the relations between two countries through art and culture,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum Launched


Noida: The 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 marked another history by creating Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum as the part of the main event on the first day.

“We are fully prepared for this event. 40 countries have shown their interest in fashion and design industry. We are sure by the end of the week this will be turn out to be one of the biggest Fashion Weeks of the Republic of India,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

One Hundred and sixty  known and new designers are participating in the fashion and design week. We are opening seven exhibitions to show case the design related to garments, jewelry, house hold products, office and restaurant furniture. Other than paintings and sculpture, sketching and photography exhibitions,” added Sandeep Marwah.

“Let me take the advantage of this international platform to announce the formation and launching of Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum. This association is created to develop and promote relation between two countries India and Gambia,” said H.E Jainaba Jagne Ambassador of Gambia to India .

“We are more than satisfied to nominate the renowned international person Sandeep Marwah  as the chair of the organization. His magical powers will do wonders to the organization,” added H.E. Jainaba Jagne.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia to India H.E. Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid, renowned beauty queen Padma Shri Shahnaz Husain, former, Miss Universe Teen & AAFT Alumna Srishti Kaur , Mrs India Finalist 2015 Deepti Chibbe, Interior Designer Shailender Sharma and Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design were witness to this historical event in a jam packed hall of Marwah Studios.
