New Delhi, July 13, 2026: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, attended the prestigious 60th Jnanpith Award (2025) presentation ceremony held at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, New Delhi.
The coveted Jnanpith Award was conferred upon renowned Tamil poet and eminent litterateur R. Vairamuthu by distinguished scholar, former Union Minister, and noted statesman Dr. Karan Singh in the presence of eminent writers, scholars, artists, academicians, diplomats, and lovers of Indian literature from across the country.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah congratulated R. Vairamuthu on receiving India’s highest literary honour and praised his immense contribution to Indian literature. “The Jnanpith Award is a celebration of the intellectual and cultural richness of India. Honouring a literary icon like Shri R. Vairamuthu reinforces the importance of literature in preserving our heritage, inspiring generations, and strengthening national unity. Literature transcends boundaries and connects humanity through ideas, emotions, and values. Such recognitions motivate young writers and encourage the preservation and promotion of India’s diverse linguistic traditions,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Dr. Marwah further emphasized that institutions such as AAFT, Marwah Studios, and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) have consistently promoted literature, arts, culture, and creative expression through numerous national and international festivals, seminars, book launches, and cultural forums.
The ceremony marked yet another significant milestone in celebrating India’s literary excellence and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to recognising outstanding contributions to literature in its many languages.
