Mumbai: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Vice President of the Film Federation of India (FFI) and Chairperson of the National CINEKIND Awards, has proposed inviting acclaimed Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh to the prestigious National CINEKIND Awards, scheduled to be held on 4th October 2026 at the Jio Auditorium, Mumbai.
Expressing his admiration for the actor, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Ranveer Singh is one of the most dynamic and versatile actors of contemporary Indian cinema. His dedication, energy, commitment to excellence, and ability to portray a wide range of characters have earned him immense respect from audiences and the film fraternity alike. He has made a significant contribution to Indian cinema through consistently remarkable performances.”
Dr. Marwah also appreciated Ranveer Singh’s recent cinematic achievements, including the massive blockbuster successes of Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026). He further acknowledged his outstanding performances in critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as 83 (2021), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), Padmaavat (2018), Gully Boy (2019), and Bajirao Mastani (2015), which have firmly established him as one of the leading actors of his generation.
The National CINEKIND Awards, an initiative of the Film Federation of India in association with People for Animals (PFA), recognize films and filmmakers who promote compassion, kindness, and responsible representation of animals and nature through cinema. The awards celebrate storytelling that inspires empathy, social responsibility, and humane values.
The grand ceremony at the Jio Auditorium is expected to bring together eminent personalities from the Indian film industry, policymakers, artists, filmmakers, and distinguished guests from across the country to celebrate excellence in cinema that contributes positively to society.
Dr. Marwah expressed confidence that Ranveer Singh’s presence at the National CINEKIND Awards would add further prestige to the event and inspire filmmakers and artists to continue creating meaningful and socially responsible cinema.
