| Dr. Sandeep Marwah Attends Skill Development Ministers’ Meeting to Celebrate World Youth Skills Day |
New Delhi, July 15, 2026: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, National Co-Chair of the Media & Entertainment Skill Development Council (MESC) and President of the AAFT International Skill Development Council (ISDC), attended the high-level meeting convened on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, who also serves as the Minister of State for Education. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, educationists, and representatives of various Sector Skill Councils to discuss strategies for empowering India’s youth through skill development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented education.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Jayant Chaudhary highlighted the critical role of skill development in shaping the future of India and reiterated the Government’s commitment to building a globally competitive workforce through quality training, industry collaboration, digital learning, and employment-oriented initiatives. He emphasised that empowering young people with relevant skills is central to the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Dr. Sandeep Marwah applauded the Government’s continued focus on skill development and youth empowerment. “World Youth Skills Day is a reminder that the future of every nation lies in the capabilities of its young people. India possesses one of the world’s largest youth populations, and by equipping them with globally relevant skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking, we can transform our demographic advantage into sustainable economic growth. Industry, academia, and government must continue to work together to create opportunities that prepare our youth for the rapidly evolving global economy,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Dr. Marwah further stated that the AAFT International Skill Development Council has been actively promoting industry-driven education, practical training, and international collaborations to enhance employability and professional excellence among students and young professionals. He reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to supporting the Government of India’s Skill India Mission by strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and industry.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to accelerate skill development initiatives, foster innovation, and create a future-ready workforce capable of contributing to India’s vision of becoming a global leader in knowledge and skills.
