Posthumous Award for Rituparna Ghosh at 6th GFFN



“We have lost a great artist, but his films will always remind us of him” said Sandeep Marwah President of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 on the second day of the festival announcing Posthumous Life Time Achievement Award to renowned film director Rituparna Ghosh.
Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee said "I cannot believe that Rituparno is no more. We lost a very promising film director at a very early age.” Konkona Sen Sharma, who acted in Ghosh's 'Titli' and 'Dosar', said that Ghosh's death was a great personal loss for her. Actor Arindam Sil requested to observe the day as a day of national mourning. Rituparna Sengupta described Ghosh as a creative genius who had enriched the Bengali film industry emotionally and culturally.
Amitabh Bachchan remembered Ghosh as the only director who had worked with every member of the Bachchan family. He tweeted. “Film director Shyam Benegal said, Ghosh's death was a "huge tragedy.
The award will be sent to the family of Rituparna Ghosh in Calcutta by the representative of 6th Global Film Festival.


Life Time Achievement Award for Kumar Shahani at 6th GFF



The management of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 decided this time to honor three important film makers of the country with life time achievement award one on each day of the festival.

The third day of the festival life time achievement award was handed over to the legend of Indian Film Industry Kumar Shahani by another very well known film maker Saaed Mirza and Sandeep Marwah.

Kumar Shahani is a noted Indian film director  known for his films like Maya Darpan, Tarang, Khayal Gatha, Kasba and many other documentaries and short films. He is the recipient of three film fare awards and many other National level and international awards.

The award was handed over to Kumar Shahani at Marwah Studios in the presence of Jeno Hodi Film Maker from Hollywood,, Rakesh Bedi renowned actor, AshokTyagi film Director and a large audience. The function was followed by an entertainment program.

12th February Will Be Celebrated as International Day of Journalism



It was only this year in 2013 first time when 12TH February has been declared as International Day of Journalism by World renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah as it was never marked by any directories of the World earlier.

Now like last year to mark respect to this date a Global Festival of Journalism has been designed once again by the International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios who are running one of the biggest journalism school of the World, a family of 15000 media professionals.

“I am proud to be the part of the declaration where International Day of Journalism has been declared on 12th February. I am sure the whole World will follow this date in due course of time” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.

“We need a lot of extra co-circular activities along with class room studies to bring in more confidence in the life of students in the school itself” said Sandeep Marwah a renowned educationist and a media personality while addressing on the annual day of Khaitan Public School in Noida.

“The performance of 600 students on the stage shows the level of interest and dedication this school has in uplifting the level of education. The school should be an example to others.” added Marwah distributing awards and certificates to the students in different disciplines of education and fields of art and culture.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women at Marwah Studios



“Violence against women is a human rights violation; Violence against women is a consequence of discrimination against women, in law and also in practice, and of persisting inequalities between men and women” ” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation on the International Day for the elimination of Violence against Women at Marwah Studios.


 Violence against women impacts on, and impedes, progress in many areas, including poverty eradication, combating HIV/AIDS, and peace and security” added Sandeep Marwah who is also the Chairperson of International Women’s Film Forum.

Violence against women and girls is not inevitable. Prevention is possible and essential. Violence against women continues to be a global pandemic. Up to 70 per cent of women experience violence in their lifetime. An awareness programs are to be introduced all over India.


Africa Industrialization Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios


Sandeep Marwah the chairperson of Indo Nigerian Film Association, Indo Sudan Cultural Forum, Indo Senegal Film Association and Indo South Africa Film Association celebrated Africa Industrialization Day with media persons at Marwah Studios on 20th November.
 Within the framework of the Second Industrial Development Decade for Africa (1991-2000), the UN General Assembly, in 1989, proclaimed 20 November Africa Industrialization Day.  The Day is intended to mobilize the commitment of the international community to the industrialization of Africa.
This year’s Africa Industrialization Day highlights the crucial role of job creation and entrepreneurship in eradicating poverty.

 “Although Africa is home to some of the world’s fastest growing economies but still too many people are still being left behind. Let us work together to foster job creation and entrepreneurship throughout the continent as critical ways to build a more prosperous and sustainable future for all." said Ban Ki-moon Secretary General of United Nations.

World Television Day Attended by Many at Marwah Studios


Most of the time film city is working for television. We make 3600 hours of cinema and around 100,000 hours of TV program in India in a year” informed Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations in a media meet at Marwah Studios.
In recognition of the increasing impact television has on decision-making by bringing world attention to conflicts and threats to peace and security and its potential role in sharpening the focus on other major issues, including economic and social issues, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 November as World Television Day.
“World Television Day is not so much a celebration of the tool, but rather the philosophy which it represents. Television represents a symbol for communication and globalization in the contemporary world” added Sandeep Marwah.


Workshop at Marwah Studios on World Philosophy Day



A special work shop was organized of all the professionals and new writers at Marwah Studios to discuss their point of view on different subject out of their imagination and research to understand the different philosophy of life.

“When you talk and listen to someone you understand and realize different point of view of life,that is the purpose of our workshop” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations and President of Asian Academy of Arts on the World Philosophy Day.


World Philosophy Day was introduced on Thursday of the third week of November in 2002 by UNESCO to honour philosophical reflection in the entire world by opening up free and accessible spaces. Its objective is to encourage the peoples of the world to share their philosophical heritage and to open their minds to new ideas, as well as to inspire a public debate between intellectuals and civil society on the challenges confronting our society.

Universal Children’s Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios



It is just a coincidence that in India we celebrate Children’s Day on 14th November, the Birthday of late Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and Universal Children’s Day falls on 20th November so the celebrations continue for a week at Marwah Studios” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum and International Children’s Film Forum organized the meeting at Marwah Studios to celebrate Children’s day.


 The General Assembly recommended that all countries institute a Universal Children's Day, to be observed as a day of worldwide fraternity and understanding between children. It recommended that the Day was to be observed also as a day of activity devoted to promoting the ideals and objectives of the Charter and the welfare of the children of the world.

International Day of Tolerance Reminds Respect for Others-Sandeep Marwah

“It was a great whether, large motivated and charged crowd, excellent music and an international level singer-what else you look for- a warm and a musical ending to 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 at Marwah studios” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios.

Shael with hit songs like “Soniye Heeriye Teri Yaad Aandi Hai”, “Dial Jaaniya” and “Pehla Nasha Pyaar Kar”, he managed to carve out his own space in the music world. The Ludhiana-born singer, now settled in Singapore, keeps coming back to India for the sheer love of music. He was at Marwah Studios in Noida for the finale of the 6th Global Film Festival where he sang some half-a-dozen songs to a standing ovation.

AAFT And University of East London Will Work Together



“We are very familiar with the popularity of AAFT-Asian Academy of film And Television in the field of media education and training, we would love to work together for promotion of film, TV and media education” said Professor Nora Ann Colton, Dean, Royal Docks Business School and Head of University of East London International during her visit to Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.

P.C.Arya Honored With Global Media Award at 6th GFFN


Renowned media person P.C.Arya was honored with 6th Global Media Award on the first day of Film festival at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

The management of International Film And Television Club started last year a segment to honour media professionals who have also contributed to media education. Prof. Kalyan Sarkar, Prof. Mansoor Naqvi and Prof. Harshvardhan were the recipient of the awards last year.

P.C.Arya has worked with Doordarshan and All India Radio for more than 35 years. He has also been a hardcore journalist covering some of the most prominent events in different countries. He has been on different assignment by Government of India, citation read by Anugyan Nag.

“P.C.Arya has been one of the finest media teachers and served the media schools for many years. His guidance has helped many students in media” added Sandeep Marwah.

“I have special place for Marwah Studios in my heart, I have never seen such a dedicated day to day performance by any other media person in life other than Sandeep Marwah” said Arya emotionally.

Indo South Africa Film Association Formed By Minister



On the recommendation of the visiting Minister of Trade And Industry from South Africa Elizabeth Thabethe a new forum has been created under the name and banner of Indo South Africa Film Association here in Delhi informed S.C. Pradhan Senior Economic Advisor to Embassy of South Africa in India.

Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe was here on the Invitation of Government of India to inaugurate the International Trade Fair of India as Guest of Honor along with the Hon’ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

Renowned media person Sandeep Marwah has been recommended to be the Chairperson of Indo South Africa Film Association who has been in media for 30 years.

Book of Lovleen Thadani Released at 6th Global Film Festival Noida



“Literature cannot be segregated from films, they go hand in hand. More is needed by cinema to project better literature” said Sandeep Marwah while releasing the new poetry book Meri Zameen Mera Asman of Alumna Lovleen Thadani at 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 at Marwah Studios.

Lovleen  Thadani is recipient of AAFT Academy Award for completing more than 100 productions for television. She has been a film writer, director and producer. She has already written few books including poems and prose.

“When alumni of AAFT are so great the institution has to be super” said Ved Pratap Vedic praising all creative qualities of the writer. Present on the occasion film director Karl Bardosh, stylist Judith Lazar, producer & director Jeno Hodi, actor Uttar Kumar,film director Pankaj Parashar and Broadcaster Virendra Rana spoke on literature and its relationship with cinema.

Tribute to Rabindranath Tagore at 6th Global Film Festival Noida



“We are celebrating 150 years of Rabindranath Tagore a man of all arts” said Sandeep Marwah President of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 as the opening words of seminar of second day at GFFN.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a Bengali poet, philosopher, artist, playwright, composer and novelist. India's first Nobel laureate, Tagore won the 1913 Nobel Prize for Literature. He composed the text of both India's and Bangladesh's respective national anthems.

 Tagore travelled widely and was friends with many notable 20th century figures such as William Butler Yeats, H.G. Wells, Ezra Pound, and Albert Einstein.  He supported Indian Independence in a big way.
 His body of literature is deeply sympathetic for the poor and upholds universal humanistic values. His poetry drew from traditional Vaisnava folk lyrics and was often deeply mystical.

Manna Dey Remembered at 6th Global Film Festival Noida



“We have lost the Golden Voice of Indian Film Industry-Manna Dey will live with us through his voice” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios remembering the legendary figure at 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013.

Many film, television and media persons expressed their feelings towards Manna Dey during the meet. A note has been sent to his family of remembrance.

 Prabodh Chandra Dey aka Manna Dey, who was one of the greatest playback singers in Hindi and Bengali films, had his last breath in Bangalore. Honored with titles Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke award, the singer had recorded more than 4000 songs. Also, he lent his voice for Hrivansh Rai Bachchan's longest composition 'Madhushala'. The singer had worked with legendary singers Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Mukesh.


Cultural Show Presented by Students of Asian Education Group at 6th GFFN



A well prepared cultural show was presented by the students of Asian Education Group on the first day of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 in the presence of large dignities who all have come from all parts of the country and abroad.

A musical show, singing, fashion show were the main events. It was a deep involvement of students from AAFT, ASMS, ASC and ABS. “We provide many opportunities to students to explore themselves in any art they want to get in” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.


The program was very well appreciated by the foreign and national delegates. Some of the programs were booked for the next show too. The whole evening was telecasted live on gff.org and aaft.com on net. Radio Noida gave direct broadcast of the event on radionoida.fm.

Grand Performance by Niazi Nizami Brothers at 6th Global Film Festival


A great grand musical evening of Sufi Music by Niazi Nizami Brothers was organized by 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 at the lawns of Marwah Studios which was attended by all the dignities and delegates who all have come from different states and countries to attend the festival.

Qawwal Niazi Nizami Brothers is a combination of father Qadar Niazi and sons Haider Nizami, Hasan Nizami and Imran Nizami qawwals. They are grandsons of Qawwali Samrat Ustad Inam Ahmed Mehboob Ragi and belong to Dargah Hzt. Nizamuddin Aulia.

 Ustad Qadar Niazi is one of the foremost qawwali singers of the country as he has captivated both the styles of sufi astana Gayaki as well as the sufi tradition and also associated with the darbar of Hazrat Khwaza Ameer Khusrow.

 Recipient of number of state and national level awards for retaining and maintaining musical heritage they are well travelled all over the world and  have been associated with films like Jiya,Kanjoos and Khosla Ka Ghosla.

The evening was well appreciated by Pankaj Parashar, Ketan Mehta, Kunwar Ajeet Singh, Gopaldas Neeraj, Parteik Babbar, P.C.Arya, Ashok Tyagi, Jeno Hodi, Judith Lazar, Karl Bardosh and many others. Later Sandeep Marwah honored Qadar Niazi and his team with the life membership of International Journalism Centre. 
 


80th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated at 6th Global Films Festival


“AAFT the premier film school of India has so far given opportunity to more than 1800 new directors to show case their debut films in AAFT festival of short films in last 21 years” said Sandeep Marwah President of the 6th Global Film festival Noida.

“We have created a World Record of conducting 80th edition of festival of short films, this is the only festival which happens four times in a year” added Kalyan Sarkar Dean Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“We need one person like Sandeep Marwah in Hungary also to promote cinema in such a powerful manner” added Judith Lazar a stylist and makeup person from Hungary.I have come all the way to Hollywood to teach here but trust me I am learning everyday something from AAFT” said Jeno Hodi to the audience.

“Even if want we cannot afford to have these kind of festival with so much of pomp and show, it will cost us fortune. Indeed Sandeep Marwah is a real showman “expressed Karl Bardosh of New York University.

Life Time Achievement Award for Gopaldas Neeraj at 6th GFFN



Padma Bhushan Gopaldas Neeraj known for his super hit numbers in the known feature films of Indian Film Industry awarded Life Time Achievement Award by 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 in front of large charged film, TV and Media persons on the first day of the festival.

Popularly known for his hindi and urdu poems Gopaldas Neeraj wrote mainly for music directors Shanker Jaikishan and S.D. Burman. His songs have been sung by the complete singing fraternity including Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohd. Rafi, Sadhna Sargam, Manhar Udas.

“In writing for more than 50 years of his life and providing unmatched literature to the World of cinema  we feel honored to hand over the Life Time Achievement Global Award to Gopaldas Neeraj” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.

Present on the occasion Tibor Kovach Counselor and Director Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre said,” We are ready to give full support to Marwah Studios in their all activities related to arts”. “10 branches of Apna School in different slums, 3 branches of Praytn school of Disability are taken care by ICFF” added R.K.Singh Vice President Asian Education Group.


Film Makers Rajinder Gandhi, Arun Anand, V.S.Kanan and cooperator Vinay Kumar were also present there. Later to mark respect to Children’s section a poster highlighting International Children’s Film Forum was released by all the dignities.

AAFT and Budapest Film Academy Joint Venture Announced at 6th GFFN



“The purpose is the same to promote film and television education, training and business in India and in Hungary, therefore we are joining hands together to work for each other” announced Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and AAFT from the highest platform of 6th Global Film Festival Noida, an affiliation with Budapest Film Academy.

“We are committed towards the film education and we have found the right partners in India. Not only AAFT is a big name but it’s a institution of passionate educators” thanked Jeno Hodi a film maker from Hollywood and also the Founder Director of Budapest Film Academy, Hungary.

Great Grand Opening of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013



It was unbelievable to see the huge crowd of film lovers lined up to enter into the Marwah Studios Complex, the venue for the 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 at Noida Film City. The colorful decoration and large information on the posters were more than inviting.

Jeno Hodi film maker from Hollywood, Judith Lazar stylist and Makeup person from New York and Karl Bardosh from New York University added a lot of glamour and goodwill to this international show.

Niket & Jainee, a husband wife duo have also participated in highly acclaimed fashion shows in both India and abroad. JCK International Las Vegas Show, Blenders Pride Fashion Tour, Orra Jewellery Show, Bulgarian Embassy Fashion Show in association with Khushi are some of the events they have lent their names to. J&N have also been official designers of Miss Delhi Show 2007, Mrs Gladrags 2008, Mrs Globe International Contestant 2008 and the prestigious Dar London Hair Stylist Show.

 Addressing the students of first batch of AAFT School of Fashion on “Indian Scenario of Fashion Industry” Niket motivated students and explained them to land in the field of Fashion Industry as successful professionals. He has given students tips to start and launch new labels.

Later Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios honored Niket with the life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre-IFTRC and appreciated his contribution to Indian Fashion Industry.



World Science Day for Peace And Development at WPDRF

The purpose of the World Science Day for Peace and Development is to renew the national, as well as the international commitment to science for peace and development and to stress the responsible use of science for the benefit of society. The World Science Day for Peace and Development also aims at raising public awareness of the importance of science and to bridge the gap between science and societies.

Asian Alumni Association Proud of 6th Global Film Festival Noida

Asian Academy of Arts Plans Exhibitions at 6th Global Film Festival Noida



No festival is complete unless and until films are related to the art and exhibition, after all films are the extension of paintings” said Sandeep Marwah expressing his views on the size of 6th Global Film Festival Noida.

Asian Academy of Arts has planned 5 exhibitions during 6th Global Film Festival out of which three are photography exhibitions and another two are of paintings.

“No film education is complete without developing the aesthetic sense through colors and its combinations which can be molded via painting and still photography exhibitions” said Sandeep Marwah President of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013.

10 Film Segments at 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013



“6th Global Film Festival was declared as the most happening festival in this part of the World last year” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. “There has been no film festival of that scale ever designed and conducted by any of the film schools of the World” added Marwah.

We have planned 52 events and more than 500 screenings this time under 10 segments like, AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films, ASMS Films, ASC films, WEcare Films on Disability, Children’s Section, Focus Country-Hungary, Special Country Nigerian Films, Retrospective of Holywood Director Jeno Hodi Films, Indian Films Section and foreign films section.

More than 200,000 film lovers have been sent the invitations and intimation. The complete film fraternity has been informed about this most celebrated festival of this part of the World.

NIKON Will Participate in 6th Global Film Festival Noida



The international brand Nikon India Ltd has joined hands with 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013.
Nikon will be displaying its latest product for the film delegates and film students arriving here at Noida from all over the World.

AAFT School of Fashion with 6th Global Film Festival Noida


AAFT School of Fashion has started preparing a wonderful evening show for the closing hours of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 on 11th, 12th and 13th November 2013.

“We are going to present a vibrant fashion show for the film delegates from all over the World designed by our own students” said Neelam Srivastava HOD Fashion-AAFT.

“All big film festivals of the World have entertainment program as part of their celebrations, so do we have at GFFN 2013” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival.

All the three days Global Film Festival Noida will be projecting talent from the high rise stage through entertainment programs inclusive of fashion shows.

AAFT is Proud of Shammi Chhabra of Lucky Kabootar


A comedy and romance feature film Lucky Kabootar Produced by Anita Raj Kanwar is now ready for release. The film is directed by Shammi Chhabra an alumnus of 39th batch of AAFT Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“I am proud of Shammi who has worked so hard to give a wonderful result to the film. The education does matter in life” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and AAFT.

The film has been produced under the banner Dhananjay Films Pvt. Ltd., Inderjit Film Combinesand Jai Viratra Entertainment Ltd

Feature film Lucky Kabootar has Ravi Kissen, Eijaz Khan, Kulraj Randhawa, Shraddha Das, Sanjay Mishra and Madhavi Sharma. The story is written by Shyam Goel, background music is by Sunil Singh  choreography by Vishnu Deva and music by Santokh Singh. The.lyricists are provided  by Sameer editor is Kuldeep Mehan, cinematography by Lenin Xavier, art by Nyandeo Paikro and sound by Jagmohan Anand.

Story, Script and lyrics of Once UPON A Time in MUMBAI DUBARA   written by Rajjat Arora who had earlier given super duper hit DIRTY PICTURE. Mohit Marwah recently signed by Akshay Kumar & Ashwani  Yardi in his forth coming film FUGLY directed by Kabir Sadanand.

AAFT Alumna Hasleen Kaur the former Miss India Earth is now in the lead role in Sunil Darshan’s new project.  FUKREY one of the finest films of the year, Directed by the alumnus of AAFT Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.

 Atul  Sabarwal  has written and directed YRC’s AURANZEB. Ajay Bahl has written and directed critically well acclaimed film BA PASS.  Arjun Kapoor of AAFT has already been successful star with Ishqezade and Auranzeb.

Asian Group Visits Bharahm kumaris Ashram for Study Tour



A group of 120 students from Asian Education Group comprising of AAFT, ASMS and ASC visit Brahma Kumaris Ashram-World Spiritual University at Manesar for study tour.
