Dubai: Not very long a group of students from AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism visited Dubai to learn more about life and foreign affairs.

“It is my good opportunity that I am here in Dubai to study the hospitality and tourism chapter which can be added to the students of AAFT Institute of Hospitality and Tourism very soon,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT at the conference at Hotel Marriott- Grosvenor House, Marina.

New Delhi:  Suresh Prabhu, Honble Minister for Commerce and Industries, Govt. of India along with Ashok Chaturvedi, CMD, Uflex Limited and Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor University of Media And Arts inaugurated the 1st Global Conference on Plastic & Packaging on 7 March 2019. The two day conference is the first ever forum for discussion on packaging and plastics being held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Prabhu addressed the gathering and emphasized on the contribution of the packaging industry in the global market. He said, “Packaging is the very first impression that a consumer gets about a product before seeing the content of the packet. It will play a key role in creating demand for other products as well.”

Chaturvedi, who was the Guest of Honor at the Conference, was presented with the Award of ‘Father of Flexible Packaging’. Chaturvedi who spoke on the occasion highlighted the role of the flexible packaging industry being the reason for growth of food processing industry globally.

Talking to the audience on the burning topic of waste plastic management, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Waste plastic is not an issue as it is made out to be. It may be a waste for one product but it can be recycled and used to make another product. Multi-layer packaging is one solution, which can be recycled and then reused. He emphasized on Clean India as plastic is the 50 percent of the waste on the road.

Budapest: “Sandeep Marwah of Republic of India is the first Indian to be honored in Hungary for the fifth time for his deep interest in Hungary and India friendship. His contribution to bring two countries together will be appreciated every time. I on behalf of Hungarian film and television family honor him for his untiring contribution to films, television and media,” said Ferenc Borbely renowned actor, Film & TV Producer from Hungary.

Present on the occasion Indian Ambassador to Hungary H.E. Kumar Tuhin presented the award to Dr. Sandeep Marwah and said,” India is proud of your achievements. I have never heard anyone has ever done so much of work in media the way Dr. Marwah has narrated in few minutes. Creating numerous records on one side and developing relations with the world through art and culture on the other hand is commendable,”

“We are keeping the award from tourism industry for the next time. Dr. Marwah’s contribution to film tourism needs another applause,” added Edit Osko renowned member of tourism industry.

“I have the pleasure to work with Dr. Marwah, he has been honored four times Doctorate, only Indian to bring more than 120 international awards back home. Six world records, and a family of 15000 media professionals, Dr. Marwah now is the first Chancellor of first film University,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Hungarian film maker based in New York University.

Two minutes silence was observed to pay respect to the departed soul Andrew G Vajna the biggest name in the Hungarian and Hollywood film industry. The event was followed by   Dinner. Deepa Tuhin and Reena Marwah were also present on the occasion.

Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios from India and Chair Indo Iran Film And Cultural Forum was invited as special guest since he was present in the city of Budapest.

A Hungarian band followed by Iranian music by visiting Iranian band brought   the evening to the highest level of cultural exchange. “It was too good for the words be it the    Hungarian band or   Iranian musical group, both presented their best,” said Sandeep Marwah.

New Delhi: A seminar, to develop and promote relation between the two countries India and Nepal, was organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce in association with Indo Nepal Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

We are here to welcome H.E. Nilambar Acharya, the new Nepal Ambassador to India and express our concern towards Nepal in different fields. Nepal Forum has recently been created in PHD,” said Ambassador K. V Rajan conducting the program.

“I am thrilled by the presence of two forums who have deep interest in Nepal. It has motivated me to go out of way to promote our relation now in many new fields. We can touch those departments also where we have nor started yet,” said H.E. Nilambar Acharya Ambassador of Nepal to India thanking     the large participation of delegates.

“We are lucky that Indo Nepal Films And Cultural Forum was suggested and inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Nepal H.E. K.P. Sharma Oli way back in 2016,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair ICMEI and PHD Culture Committee.

The Prime Minister of Nepal also nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair for INFCF. It all started when Raj Kishor Yadav, Minister of Information and Communications, Government of Nepal invited Marwah in 2012, it continued with Krishna Prasad Dhakal Deputy Chief of Nepal to India.

Then, Nepal participated in all the 17 international conferences organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in last 5 years. The participation of H.E. Deep Kumar Upadhayay Ambassador of Nepal to India  along with the presence of most famous actors Sunil Thapa and Karishma Manandhar at Marwah Studios at  the First Film Festival of Nepali Films in India was well appreciated, informed Sandeep Marwah.

Hindi Book Release at Fiji High Commission


New Delhi: A colorful program to enhance the relation and the culture between two countries India and Fiji was conducted at High Commission of Fiji in India.

It was a poetry book written in Hindi by a Fiji writer Shweta was released in a grand way. Sharing her experience while learning Hindi and writing book she said the book has been titled “Ye Bhi Meri Mati Woh Bhi Meri Mati” “because I consider Fiji and India as my mother land. We have deep roots in India and that can never be erased by any civilization,”

Writing Book in Hindi by Fiji writer is not only means promoting Hindi but a wonderful relation between two countries. This act will induce many people to look into the pages of Fiji and realized the historical importance of two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum.

The book was jointly released by Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios  H.E. Yogesh Punja High Commissioner of Fiji to India, Vijay Jolly Former MLA Delhi, H.E. Gonchig Ganbold Ambassador of Mongolia to India and H.E. Vishwas Sapkal Indian Ambassador to Fiji.

Armed Forces Support Mission Campaign Started


Noida: A massive signature campaign to support the armed forces was announced here on Thursday at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The campaign will begin in the first week of April called the 'Armed Forces Support Mission', the campaign will cover 350 cities in the country and aims to set a world record by raising Rs 50 crore for the forces from 5 crore signees, its organizers said.

 A minimum amount of Rs 10 is to be collected from each signee, which will be deposited in the National Defense Fund, set up to take charge of voluntary donations in cash and kind received for promotion of the national defense effort, and to decide on their utilization with the prime minister being the chairperson of its executive committee, they said.

The program is a collaborative effort by MK Sharma (an ex-banker), the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), Creates Trust, Mother India Crochet Queens, Election Awaaz, Indian Skills Development Council, Global Organization of People of Indian Origin, among others.

 "We aim at making it to the Guinness Book of Records by collecting Rs 50 crore and five crore signatures," said Sandeep Marwah, director of AAFT and founder of Noida Film City.
 "The amount so collected will be deposited in the National Defense Fund for the benefit/welfare of Indian Armed Forces. Each signee will be given a certificate and an official receipt of the amount collected by us along with deposit particulars of the National Defense Fund.

The names of the signee/donors will be published on the website afsm.org.in," he added. Marwah said even though the government was doing its bit to support the forces, it was time the people make similar efforts. JP Singh of Election Awaaz said signatures could be made on the ground as well as online on the dedicated website.

Noida: “We will put our best to support the first Noida Cultural Festival at the new cultural ground set by Noida authority in sector 33. We want to make it as an annual event which will soon become a national property,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios at the press conference to kick start the festival moment.

“We have decided to give three days full coverage to the events from 29th to 31st, from morning to evening on our television station MSTV and radio station Radio Noida 107.4FM. We will also cover the cultural programs in our news papers and news agency,” added Marwah thanking Noida Authority for taking part in it.

Ninety programs have been designed and planned by Anu Sinha of Foundation For Krishna  Kala And Education Society and Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios. The festival will also highlight the social theme of “Your Vote-Your Rights- Your Power” to motivate people to vote for general elections 2019.

“ We would have never agreed to such a huge task if Marwah Studios would have not been there. Their motivation, support, contacts, encouragement has resulted into this huge festival,” said Anu Sinha.

Pento Mime Performance by Nemo German Artist at AAFT


Noida: A memorable mime performance by renowned German artist Nemo was organized by Dr Arshiya Sethi of Kri Foundation a well-known art promoter for the students of AAFT School of Performing Arts here at Noida Film City.

“Mime is one of the technics of acting and is a performing art- mime is a non verbal performance telling story without words with deep expressions and gestures,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT welcoming all the artists.

The chapter started with Irshad and Isha Indian mime and theater artists who inact the habits of Indians in the most simple way. It was followed by Nemo who has already Published books include: NEMO, “Fun with Pantomime” (in German), published by Verlag Meyer & Meyer, Aachen.

Nemo has performed in more than 38 countries, attended all the festivals related to pantomime, conducted more than 100 TV performances and large numbers of seminars and workshops.

 ''Mime Art is the only Language which is understood all over the World, by all the people of all the ages, culture and nations,” said Nemo.

The students were amazed to see the performance and were induced to ask questions. Late all the dignities were honored with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

Noida: Three day Bosnian Festival of Cinema brought many film lovers, filmgoers, film professional and film students from all over India to AAFT at Noida film city to be the part of this international event.

The first ever festival of Bosnian films was appreciated for the grand opening and closing function, selection of best films and two major workshops by renowned film writers and directors Aida Begic Zubcevic and Faruk Loncarevic.

The six films which were shown are The perfect Circle, 1997 directed by Ademir Kenovic and will also showcase Walter Defends Sarajevo, 1972 directed by Hajrudin Kravac, Fuse (Gori Vatra), 2003 directed by Pjer Zalica, An Episode in the Life of Iron Picker, 2013 directed by Danis Tanovic, Mom (Sa Mamom), 2014 directed by Faruk Loncarevic and Never Leave Me, 2017 by Aida Begic Zubcevic.

“The six films and two directors in person leaving a huge impact on the Indian film industry. The films are of international standard and emphasis has been given to emotions like Indian cinema. I would love to visit Bosnia to meet many more film makers soon,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanking every one for their deep interest.

“We are in reality from the dream which we saw a month back to organize a festival this statute. ICMEI, AAFT and Sandeep Marwah   with his complete team has shown again their capability of fulfilling dreams,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia to India.

Present on the occasion the Consul General of Montenegro in India Janice Darbari proposed to make a feature film in joint venture with the Bosnian directors.” I would love to see these capable directors a film in India and I would love to be part of it,” said Janice Darbari.


More than one hundred film lovers from all over India opted to be the member of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum whom membership certificated were also presented during the festival.

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Embassy of Armenia launched the first ever film and cultural forum in India to develop and promote the relation between two countries through art and     culture in a grand function at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“We are charged with new energy on the launching of new forum IACF- Indo Armenia Film & Cultural Forum at ICMEI to work together with Embassy of Armenia for the betterment of relation between people of two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We have full trust in the working of ICMEI as the chamber has proved its credentials in many fields. We are sure we will be able to do more together in developing art and culture of both the countries in short period of time,” added Dr. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, during the event, handed over two books on himself, the copy of project on the country of Armenia earlier prepared by the student of AAFT University of Media And Arts. Ambassador also presented a book on Armenia to Dr. Marwah for the university library as gesture of goodwill.

A poster was launched to mark respect to the decision of starting Indo Armenia Film & Cultural Forum. It was decided to sign MOU in the coming week. ICMEI will soon handover the first scholarship to Ambassador.

First Bosnian Film Festival Inaugurated At Marwah Studios

Noida: Three days festival of Films from Bosnia And Herzegovina was inaugurated today at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City with great pomp and show.

“Under Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum It was decided at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to have a festival of films in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts and invite people from film, television, media art and culture fraternity. Bosnian films have brought many accolades in different international festivals,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

The event started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Lt. General K.M. Seth former Governor of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura who congratulated Embassy of Bosnia And Herzegovina for opting the best venue-- Marwah Studios for the first film festival of Bosnian Films. ”I am aware that Bosnia produces 5to 6 films in a year but every film is a piece of art,” said Lt. Gen. K. M. Seth.

“We have brought best six films with two most popular film directors from Bosnia to interact with Indian audience. We all are witness to history as this is the first film festival of Bosnian films in India. Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is thankful to ICMEI and Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum for taking initiative in organizing this festival,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India.

“Bosnian Films mat not be big in numbers but they have been part of Academy Awards in USA and Cannes film Festival in France. We have pre war movies and post war movies,” explained Farouk Loncarevic renowned film director from Bosnia.

“Film is my passion and I am teaching films too. Opening of the festival in film University is a wonderful idea. We have the right audience for the films,” added Aida Begic screen play writer and film director from Bosnia.

Later Dr. Kcalpana Bhushan renowned Bharatha Natyam exponent presented a dance recital and Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to the distinguished guests and membership of Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum to other members.
