New Delhi: Since the proclamation of African World Heritage Day in 2015 by the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, every 5 May, African cultural and natural, tangible and intangible heritage is celebrated across the globe, raising awareness of the benefits of its promotion and preservation, as well as the related challenges the continent faces,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Patron to many African Organizations.

UNESCO is committed to spearhead international efforts to draw on the vast potential of Africa’s cultural and natural heritage as a force for poverty reduction and social cohesion as well as a driver of sustainable development and innovation.

“As the world enters a second year of this devastating pandemic, engaging with our cultural and natural heritage remains crucial for humanity. This engagement helps us to be more connected, more resilient, more able to protect the legacy of the past and hand it down to future generations. African World Heritage, which we celebrate every year on this day, is essential in this respect – not only for the people of Africa, but for all of humankind. ” Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry read the message of Audrey Azoulay, Director-General, on the occasion of African World Heritage Day during the event designed at Noida Film City.

National Day Celebrated At Marwah Studios

New Delhi:  President of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Chair for Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum Dr. Sandeep Marwah extended his best wishes to the High Commissioner of Ghana H.E. Michael Aaron Nii Nortey Oquaye on the National day of Ghana falls on 6^th March.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Ghana on the National Day. I wish India and Ghana friendship and business partnership to grow to a new level,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah counting his own different interactions with Ghana.

Independence Day is an official state holiday celebrated by the Ghanaians and the Ghanaian diaspora, which is celebrated on March 6 every year. Independence Day marks the declaration of independence from British colonial rule, by Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah on 6th March 1957. Ghana became the first sub-Saharan African country to achieve independence from British colonial rule.

New Delhi:  Ghana High Commission recently hosted the launch of Gurdip Hari’s new book ‘Go Back to Nature & Heal Your Self’. Gurdip Hari released his book in the presence of HE Michael A.N.N. Oquaye Jr the Ghana High Commissioner to India and Sandeep Marwah Director Asian Academy of Film & Television. Bliss In Unity published this book. There are seven chapters in the book.

Noida: Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry announced and handed over the AAFT scholarship to the Film delegation from Ghana to India.

“I am pleased to hand over the first scholarship of AAFT short term course of three months to    Richard Yaw Boatteng leader of the delegation as a gesture of building a very strong relations with Ghana under Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

The leader of the delegation was the National President of Film Directors Guild of Ghana [FDGG] Richard Yaw Boateng came along with Haruna Seidu Soale Greater Accra Regional Chairman [FDGG], Ernest Ackom Ag. Noida: A powerful delegation of the filmmakers from Ghana arrived at ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to join hands with the chamber to promote film activities in Ghana.

The delegation was lead by the National President of Film Directors Guild of Ghana [FDGG] Richard Yaw Boateng along with Haruna Seidu Soale Greater Accra Regional Chairman [FDGG], Ernest Ackom Ag. General Secretary

 [FDGG] and Daniel Fiifi Jayden Communications Director [FDGG] were there at Marwah Studios to discuss and plan the activities of Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum in the next few months.

“Indo Ghana has gone far ahead in devolving the relations between the two countries through art and culture. Today a very important event of World Environment Day is also inaugurated along with the Indo Ghana Summit, which speaks of our relation with Ghana. I welcome the film delegation to AAFT,” said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI.

“We are amazed to receive such a grand reception at Marwah Studios, this speaks that Sandeep Marwah is a great showman of Indian Film Industry. His international status is beyond comparison. We wish to have a very strong bonding with ICMEI, Marwah Group and Indian Film Industry,” said Richard Yaw Boateng.

“The relations between Ghana and India are growing day by day since we have created Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum. I am sure we will be able to do wonders in the next few months. High Commissioner was accompanied with Mrs. Nana Kraah Ansah Adjei Minister Counsellor, Aaron Nuamah Sintim, Head of Consular, Michael Harry Ansah, Special Aide of the High Commissioner of Ghana and Mrs. Jaee Bhatnagar Secretary to High Commissioner of Ghana.

The delegation took the tour of the Film School AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television, met a group of filmmakers and television producers,had interaction with the media students after the summit.

Radio Noida, MSTV and other national press covered the event. A grand dinner was also planned in the honor of the delegation. A scholarship for a short-term course in Production Direction at AAFT was also presented to the members of delegation.

The Chair for IGFCF Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum to all the members of the delegation.  Later High Commissioner of Ghana Honored Sandeep Marwah with an award for the promotion of Indo Ghana relations.

Noida: Like every year, this year also Marwah Studios in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Asian Academy of Film And Television celebrated World Environment Day at Noida Film City.

“We have tried our best to bring awareness of all those programs which United Nations has been highlighting now and then. More than 24 subjects round the year we take up to popularize and support United Nations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nation Associations.

“World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marin pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.,” said Dr. K.D. Gupta Environmentalist and Chairperson of Environment And Climate Committee of ICMEI.

“WED has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, WED has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate environmental causes,” added Dr. V.K.Goswami ICMEI representative to NASA.

“The theme for 2018 is "Beat Plastic Pollution". The host nation is India

By choosing this Theme, it is aimed that people may strive to change their everyday lives to reduce the heavy burden of plastic pollution,” said Dr. Amit Kaur Puri Scientist from AKP Foundation.

“People should be free from the over-reliance on single-use or disposables, as they have severe environmental consequences. We should liberate our natural places, our wildlife - and our own health from plastics,” said H.E. Michael Aaron Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India while inaugurating the session.

Large number of media professionals, filmmakers from Ghana, members of ICMEI, environmentalists, and students of AAFT and ASMS attended the event.

Noida: To support the Foreign Policy of Honorable Prime Minister of India of building very strong relations with all the countries of the World, ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has created another International committee with Ghana.

“We are enthusiastic to launch a new forum and happy to add another responsibility on our shoulder. Dealing with Ghana will be a new experience. Ghana was one time the most popular cinema country in Africa, we will revive its popularity in Ghana again,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Chamber.

Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum was inaugurated by H.E. Michael A N N Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana to India in the presence of large number of film, television and media persons from all over India by lighting the ceremonial lamp at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

 “It is written in the books of foreign affairs of Indian and Ghana history the lunching of Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum to promote our relations through arts and culture. We will soon sign MOU to make it official so that it can continue for all time to come,” said High Commissioner of Ghana.

“The forum will start working on the students exchange, institutional tie ups, film festivals, scholarships, joint venture of short films, workshops and seminars, allotting of time on Radio Noida, MSTV and other programs as mutually decide by the committee,” informed Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.

Global Peace Ambassador Sandeep Marwah was honored and nominated as the Chair for the forum by the High Commissioner of Ghana and Sandeep Marwah honored H.E. Michael Oquaye as the first Patron of the forum.

The inauguration was followed by a question answer session by the national press and students of media. Asian Academy of Film And Television & International Film And Television Club supported the event. Sushil Bharti Festival Director paid vote of thanks.

New Delhi: The President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry Sandeep Marwah visited H.E. Michael ANN Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana to India to brief him about the activities of the Chamber.

H.E. Michael ANN Oquaye took keen interest in the further developing relation with India through arts and culture and agreed to visit the international head quarters of ICMEI to see for himself how ICMEI is organized.

“We are here to explore the market of films, television, media, arts and culture in Ghana. Ghana was one time the biggest film market in Africa, probably we can work together to revive it the way we could do in Nigeria and Bhutan,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“We are ready to work with ICMEI. It is a unique chamber and we believe in cultural diplomacy too. I am sure we can do a lot together,” said H.E. Michael A N N Oquay High Commissioner of Ghana to India.
