ICMEI and AAFT Celebrate World Environment Day with Poster Launch at Marwah Studios

Noida: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable development, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with AAFT, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The event brought together students, media professionals, environmental enthusiasts, and members of the creative community to highlight the urgent need for environmental conservation and collective action.

A specially designed poster dedicated to World Environment Day was officially launched during the celebration, symbolizing the organization’s pledge to promote environmental responsibility and inspire positive action towards protecting the planet.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, Founder of Noida Film City, and President of ICMEI, emphasized the critical role of individuals and institutions in preserving nature.

“World Environment Day is not just a reminder but a call to action. The future of humanity depends on the choices we make today. Every tree we plant, every resource we conserve, and every effort we make towards sustainability contributes to a healthier and greener planet. Through media, education, and creative arts, we have a powerful responsibility to spread awareness and encourage environmental stewardship,” said Dr. Marwah.

Untamed Romania Documentary Appreciated at Marwah Studios on World Environment Day

Untamed Romania Screened at Marwah Studios Noida Film City

Noida, June 6, 2023 – The Indo Romania Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and the Embassy of Romania, celebrated World Environment Day with a special screening of the powerful documentary “Untamed Romania” at Marwah Studios.

The film, which captivated the audience, was inaugurated by H.E. Daniel Tane, Ambassador of Romania to India, and Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, along with distinguished guests including H.E. Javier Paulnich, Ambassador of Peru to India, H.E. Teodoro Maldonodo, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, and Lt. Gen Anil Malik (Retd).

“Untamed Romania” is an extraordinary cinematic creation that showcases the breathtaking beauty and diverse wildlife of Romania. The filmmaker’s dedication is evident, as over 400 hours of footage were expertly crafted into a brilliant 90-minute documentary, offering a glimpse into the untamed world hidden beyond the bustling cities of Romania. From majestic mountains to ancient forests and expansive wetlands, this film transports viewers to undisturbed habitats where iconic creatures thrive.

Following the screening, a thought-provoking discussion on environmental issues was held, featuring prominent environmentalist Ajit Kumar and Ranju Minhas. Their insights shed light on crucial aspects of preserving and safeguarding our environment.

The impact of “Untamed Romania” was not limited to the audience alone; it also left a lasting impression on the attending filmmakers. In recognition of its excellence, the International Film and Television Club of the Asian Academy of Film and Television is pleased to present the prestigious Award of Distinction to “Untamed Romania,” announced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

New Delhi: An international convention took place online organized by Dr. Indrajit Ghosh of MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industries of India to celebrate the World Environment Day to create awareness about the environment in association with ICMEI.

“Rise in the demand, owing to large discoveries and inventions, has led to more development, bigger infrastructure, large productions and consumption of different products. This has resulted into Air Pollution, Water pollution, Land Pollution, Radioactive pollution, Light Pollution, Thermal Pollution and Noise Pollution. Time has come when we cannot restrict our activities but can start preserving our environment to our best,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios, Chancellor AAFT University and Chair ICMEI.

At Marwah Studios we are directly connected to Clean India, Green India, Save Water, Save Rivers, Develop Village Develop Country, through 15000 media professionals who have been sensitized to talk and work about environment throughout the year. Radio Noida, Radio Raipur, MSTV, our journals and newsletters, film production company are, without fail, talk about environment,” added Dr. Marwah.

“Throughout the year we are involved with workshops, seminars, symposiums, interactions, talks, film screening, festivals related to environment. I have the privilege to open 100 environment committees in hundred different organizations. Being partners with UNIC and IFUNA of United Nations we celebrate all the days marked to environment in the year,” expressed Dr. Marwah.

New Delhi: Global Green Ambassador Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University presented Marwah Studios as the case study for environment protection before the global audience in a program organised by Gaurav Gupta of Lions Club of Delhi Veg. to celebrate World Environment Day.

“The environment can be defined as a sum total of all the living and non-living elements and their effect which influence human life. Environment offer resources for production, it sustains life by providing genetic and biodiversity inclusive of Sun, Water, Air, Soil essential for human life, it helps in getting rid of garbage and enhance quality of life as man enjoys natural beauty,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah in his keynote address.

“We have learned a lot in this pandemic, and it is high time when we should return back to mother earth if you really want to live happily and want to see your next generation comfortable on this earth. Everyone has to play his role as environment saver. You just cannot ignore the environment anymore,” added Dr. Marwah speaking out hundred different jobs for saving environment in hundred different organizations he has been chairing.

Dr. Marwah talked about Clean India, Green India, Save Water, Save Rivers, Protect Mountains, Plant A Tree, Develop Village Develop Nation, Gift A Tree and many more schemes he has been associated with. An exhibition of pictures related to environment clicked by H.E. Muhammed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India, designed by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry was also projected online.

World Environment Day Celebrated at ICMEI


New Delhi: “Nature is sending us a clear message. We are harming the natural world – to our own detriment. Habitat degradation and biodiversity loss are accelerating. Climate disruption is getting worse. Fires, floods, droughts and superstorms are more frequent and damaging. Oceans are heating and acidifying, destroying coral ecosystems. And now, a new coronavirus is raging, undermining health and livelihoods. To care for humanity, we MUST care for nature. We need our entire global community to change course,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media And Arts in a webinar organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on World Environment Day.

“Human actions, including deforestation, encroachment on wildlife habitats, intensified agriculture, and acceleration of climate change, have pushed nature beyond its limit. It would take 1.6 Earths to meet the demands that humans make of nature each year. If we continue on this path, biodiversity loss will have severe implications for humanity, including the collapse of food and health systems,” explained Sushil Tripathi former Secretary Government of India Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas

“Let’s rethink what we buy and use. Adopt sustainable habits, farming and business models. Safeguard remaining wild spaces and wildlife and commit to a green and resilient future. As we work to build back better, let’s put nature where it belongs -- at the heart of our decision-making. On this World Environment Day, it’s Time for Nature,” added Dr. K. D. Gupta Chairman Environment and Climate Committee of ICMEI.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah earlier titled as Global Green Ambassador listed out the series of work, they have designed on the table as planning and performances at grass root level.

New Delhi: “Enough has been discussed and planned now It is time to come into action. Mother earth has given us the biggest indication that if you cannot do it I will do it myself. The whole nature is taking its better shape in this era of Covid 19, when we all are just handicap,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios presenting his studies to the group of environment lovers from all over India on the World Environment Day celebrated by MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India.

“I have the pleasure in initiating and launching committees on environment in more than 100 different organizations. We are directly connected to Clean India, Green India, Save Rivers, Develop Village Develop Nation, Startup India which are Governmental projects, Our own institutions and AAFT University is continuously promoting the activities on environment at grass root level,” added Dr. Marwah.

“Our radio station and television station keep on broadcasting programs and create enough awareness around the year. News paper covers items on environment every week. Our film production house keeps on building up an impressive stock of environmental films. The event management company organizes workshops, talks, interaction programs, symposiums, festivals in relation to environment,” informed Dr. Marwah

“We are partners with United Nations through UNIC and IFUNA and celebrate all important days round the year. Now being Chief Scout For India I have advised to involve fifty lakh scouts and guides from all over India into environment studies and programs,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah earlier titled as Global Green Ambassador.

Noida: Renowned Film And Television Personality and five times World Record Holder Sandeep Marwah had been titled earlier as Global Green Ambassador for his deep involvement in environmental activities.

His contribution towards Green India, Clean India, Clean Ganga, Save The Mother Earth, through different organizations like Marwah Studios, International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, United Nation Information Centre, Indian Federation of United Nation Association, World Peace Development And Research Foundation, Human Rights Organizations etc. is immense.

On World Environment Day the team of Sandeep Marwah Working along with him on environment issues were presented with memento to motivate and encourage them to do well.

“We are conscious about environment and climate all the time. The time has come when everyone has to think about it, otherwise we will spoil the life of our own children,” said Sandeep Marwah addressing in the Environment Summit at AAFT.

“Each World Environment Day is organized around a theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern. The theme for 2018, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” is a call to action for all of us to come together to combat one of the great environmental challenges of our time,” added H.E. Michael A. N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana to India in the capacity of Chief Guest.

Noida: Like every year, this year also Marwah Studios in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Asian Academy of Film And Television celebrated World Environment Day at Noida Film City.

“We have tried our best to bring awareness of all those programs which United Nations has been highlighting now and then. More than 24 subjects round the year we take up to popularize and support United Nations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nation Associations.

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marin pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.,” said Dr. K.D. Gupta Environmentalist and Chairperson of Environment And Climate Committee of ICMEI.

“WED has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, WED has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate environmental causes,” added Dr. V.K.Goswami ICMEI representative to NASA.

“The theme for 2018 is "Beat Plastic Pollution". The host nation is India
By choosing this Theme, it is aimed that people may strive to change their everyday lives to reduce the heavy burden of plastic pollution,” said Dr. Amit Kaur Puri Scientist from AKP Foundation.

“People should be free from the over-reliance on single-use or disposables, as they have severe environmental consequences. We should liberate our natural places, our wildlife - and our own health from plastics,” said H.E. Michael Aaron Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India while inaugurating the session.

Large number of media professionals, filmmakers from Ghana, members of ICMEI, environmentalists, and students of AAFT and ASMS attended the event.

Book of Pankaj Singh Released at International Environment Seminar

Noida: A grand seminar took place at Marwah Studios under the leadership of Global Green Ambassador Sandeep Marwah organized by ICMEI- International Chambers of Media And Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City.

“The whole idea of bringing so many organizations and important people of the society together to remind them that we have forgotten the value of mother land and there is some duty which every person has to perform of preserving environment,” said Sandeep Marwah.

H.E. Petko Doykov Ambassador of Bulgaria to India and other dignities including Ambassador Dr. Beni Prasad Agarwal of Association for Asian Union, Dr. K.D.Gupta Chairman of Environment Committee ICMEI, Dr. V.K.Goswami of Environment And Peace Foundation, Suresh Srivastava of IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nation Association and Amit Kaur Puri of AKP Foundation released the book on environment ”Paryavaran Bachayen Jage Aur Jagayen” written by Pankaj K Singh.

“I have tried my best by writing a book on environment and its preservation so that large number of people can be informed about the need to preserve environment. It is just a humble gesture towards nature which has given us so much to live,” said Pankaj K Singh thanking ICMEI for releasing the book at such a powerful international platform.

World Environment Day Celebrated At Marwah Studios




“It is very important to have a beautiful and healthy environment and that is only possible if you respect and love nature” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios during the conference at Noida Film City with the students of Films, television and media of Asian Business School, Asian Academy of Film And Television and Asian School of Media Studies.

The theme of this year is ‘Forests-Nature At Your Service’-cover one third of the earth’s land mass, performing vital functions and services around the world which make our planet alive with possibilities. In fact, 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their livelihoods. They play a key role in our battle against climate change, releasing oxygen into the atmosphere while storing carbon dioxide.

This year's global host is India which is a country of wide bio-diversity. World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. It falls on 5 June every year as decided by the United Nation.
