Shakespeare Society Of Marwah Studios Sets Its Aims And objectives

“Shakespeare (1564-1616) – the renowned playwright and poet who had impacted the world over areas of literature, culture, art, theatre and film – is considered the best English language writer ever” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. This somewhat incomprehensible genius is also known as the England’s National Poet and Bard of Avon. His writings are timeless and universal in nature. Shakespeare combined poetic genius with a practical sense of the theatre, his skill to dramatize stories is out of the world. Shakespeare’s style of writing ensures that his plays can survive translation, cuttings and wide interpretation without loss of its core drama. His plays have been translated in most living languages and are to this day, staged across the world. Shakespeare’s literary work consist of 38 play and many poems and sonnets. The aims and objectives of Shakespeare Society of Marwah Studios are as follows:- i) Systematic classroom study of the literary works of Shakespeare ii) Reading and discussing literary works of Shakespeare in seminars and symposia. iii) Translating Shakespeare’s outstanding literary work in Hindi and other Indian languages. iv) Staging of Shakespeare’s plays to support the theatre movement. v) Adapting Shakespeare’s outstanding plays as literature for the children. vi) Establishing links with the Shakespeare societies across the world.
