New Delhi: International
Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry through its committee Indo Maldives
Film And Cultural Forum congratulated H.E. Ahmed Mohamed High Commissioner
of Maldives to India on the National Day of Maldives, which falls on 26th
July.
“I
on behalf of Media and Entertainment Industry of India take this honor to
congratulate the High Commissioner and the people of Maldives on their National
Day. May our relations with Maldives flourish day by day,” said Sandeep Marwah President
ICMEI.
Both
the countries established diplomatic relations after the independence of
Maldives from British rule in 1966. India was one of the first nations to
recognize Maldives' independence. Since then, India and Maldives
have developed close strategic, military, economic and cultural relations.
