Awareness of Human Trafficking Day Created



Goa: Human trafficking is a crime that exploits women, children and men for numerous purposes including forced labour and sex. The International Labour Organization estimates that 21 million people are victims of forced labour globally. 

“Every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. United Nations highlighted the link between the refugee and migration crisis and trafficking in persons at this year's observance of the day for drugs and crime,” informed Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations and International Bar Association in a small meeting at Hotel Vivanta by Taj- The Village at Dando, Candolim, Bardez, Goa

In 2010, the General Assembly adopted the Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, urging Governments worldwide to take coordinated and consistent measures to defeat this scourge. 

This resolution declared that such a day was necessary to “raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights

International Day of Friendship Celebrated at Goa




Goa 30 July 2016: “When greed supersedes concerns about the health of our planet or its inhabitants, when fanatic attachment to ideology is pursued at all costs, and when people suffer human rights violations because they are considered somehow less than equal, the heritage of humanity is betrayed and our future well being is placed in peril, On this International Day of Friendship, let us resolve to cherish and cultivate as many warm relationships as possible, enriching our own lives and enhancing the future." Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations read the message of UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon in a small event at Hotel Taj Vivanta Holiday Village, Goa.

The International Day of Friendship was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly with the idea of friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities.

The Day is also intended to support the goals and objectives of the Declaration and Programs of Action on a Culture of Peace and the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World.

Sandeep Marwah Designated Global Cultural Minister at International Conference

Noida: Representatives of nine countries participated including Nigeria, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Vietnam, Nepal, Afghanistan, Ghana and India in an international conference on Changing Trends in Media and Skill Development organized by the Skill Development Council of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship, Government of India at Noida Film City.

The case study of oldest skill development school-Asian Academy of Film And Television with its 101 international and National organizations was the topic of the discussion.

Edirin Patience from Nigeria noted down the presence of Sandeep Marwah in Nigeria and the role of Indo Nigerian Film Association. Raju Prasad Sah from Nepal appreciated the appointment of Marwah as Chairperson of Indo Nepal Cultural Forum by the Prime Minister of Nepal H.E. K.P. Sharma Oli. Fida Mohammad Salih from Afghanistan liked the idea of Marwah Studios of  producing films in joint venture with Afghani film director under Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum.

Heman Bissessur from Mauritius valued the meeting of Marwah with the Prime Minister of Mauritius H.E.Anerood Jugnauth. Sachithra Darshana Perera from Sri Lanka was informed of the visit of high profiled delegation from Sri Lanka at Marwah Studios.

International Conference on Skill Development at ICMEI


Nine Countries Participated in International Conference


Noida: The Skill Development Council of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship, Government of India organized an international conference on changing trends in media and skill development at Noida Film City.

Representatives of nine countries participated including Nigeria, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Vietnam, Nepal, Afghanistan, Ghana and India to understand the case study of one of the oldest skill Development School of the country-Asian Academy of Film And Television under the leadership of renowned media person Sandeep Marwah.

“We have been in skill development for the last twenty-three years. We assessed many years back that it is only skill development, which can keep the education alive to its best. This is the only way to generate trained manpower for required occupations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

AAFT has trained more than 12000 media professionals hailing from more than 100 countries of the World. “Every student passed out from this media centre has been placed well into the industry,” said Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI.

Representative of NASA Dr. V.K.Goswami appreciated the way the courses and syllabus of AAFT has been planned to keep the students busy and occupied with great interest and students are always eager to learn which has helped them to grab better jobs in the market.

Dr. K.D. Gupta environmentalist emphasized the need of better environment during skill development and gave example of AAFT. Isaiah Anthony Nigerian writer and motivator spoke about the ingredients for better-designed skill development programs.

NFTC And AIHT Developed New Relations in Thailand





Bangkok: “Tourism makes up about 6% of the economy. Thailand was the most visited country in Southeast Asia, according to the World Tourism Organization” informed Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited and President of Asian Institute of Hospitality And Tourism during his talk at Hotel Grand Hyatt  Bangkok.

The estimates of tourism receipts directly contributing to the Thai GDP of 12 trillion baht range from 9 percent to 16 percent. When including the indirect effects of tourism, it is said to account for 20.2 percent (2.4 trillion baht) of Thailand's GDP

The Tourism Authority of Thailand uses the slogan "Amazing Thailand" to promote Thailand internationally. In 2015, this was supplemented by a "Discover Thainess" campaign.

On the other hand the literacy rate of Thailand is 93.5%. Education is provided by a well-organized school system of kindergartens, primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools, numerous vocational colleges, and universities. NFTC and AIHT are now developing new relationship with tourism and education industry of Thailand.

Education is compulsory up to and including age 14, with the government providing free education through to age 17 informed Marwah who was there at Bangkok on study tour.

Nelson Mandela Day Celebrated at Bali



Bali: 18th July, 2016: In November 2009, the UN General Assembly declared 18 July "Nelson Mandela International Day" in recognition of the former South African President’s contribution to the culture of peace and freedom. 

For 67 years Nelson Mandela devoted his life to the service of humanity — as a human rights lawyer, a prisoner of conscience, an international peacemaker and the first democratically elected president of a free South Africa. 

 “We must recognize Nelson Mandela’s values and his dedication to the service of humanity, in the fields of conflict resolution, race relations, the promotion and protection of human rights, reconciliation, gender equality and the rights of children and other vulnerable groups, as well as the upliftment of poor and underdeveloped communities’” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation in a small meeting at Hotel W Retreat & Spa Bali Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia.

Sandeep Marwah Participated in World Youth Skills Day at Indonesia




Bali: “Young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs, greater labor market inequalities, and longer and more insecure school-to-work transitions. In addition, women are more likely to be underemployed and under-paid, and to undertake part-time jobs or work under temporary contracts” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations here at Bali speaking at a function to celebrate Youth Skills Day at Hotel Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Bech Resort.

Education and training are key determinants of success in the labor market. But unfortunately, existing systems are failing to address the learning needs of many young people, and surveys of learning outcomes and skills show that a large number of youth have low levels of achievement in basic literacy and numeracy. Skills and jobs for youth feature prominently in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, explained Marwah giving case study of AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television.

July 15 is World Youth Skills Day, and the United Nations is observing the day with a special event on the theme of “Skills Development to Improve Youth Employment.”

International Day of Cooperatives Celebrated at NFTC




In 1992, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the International Day of Cooperatives to be celebrated annually on the first Saturday of July.

The aim of this International Day is to Increase awareness on cooperatives, highlight the complementarily of the goals and objectives of the United Nations and the international cooperative movement;

Underscore the contribution of the movement to the resolution of the major problems addressed by the United Nations is strengthen and extend partnerships between the international cooperative movement and other actors, including governments, at local, national and international levels.

This year, International Co-operative Day,  celebrated on 2 July, had the theme ‘Co-operatives: The power to act for a sustainable future.’

ICMEI Presented Scholarship to Republic of Gabon




New Delhi: Indo African relationship saw a new light when ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry handed over the scholarship of  full time short term course of  most prestigious film school of India- Asian Academy of Film And Television to the Ambassador of Gabon H.E. Desire Kaumba by the President of the Chamber Sandeep Marwah.

Recently Indo Gabon Cultural Forum has been formed and inaugurated by the H.E. Andrew Crepin GWODOG Minister for Environment Protection and Natural Resources of the Forest and the Sea, Government of the Republic of Gabon at Noida Film City. The scholarship for the deserving student for a film school in India is a very positive step in this direction said Ambassador.

World Population Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios



“In 1989, the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme recommended that 11 July be observed by the international community as World Population Day, a day to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues. This year's theme is 'Investing in teenage girls.'” Informed Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations at Marwah Studios.

“Teenage girls around the world face enormous challenges. Many are considered by their communities or parents to be ready for marriage and motherhood. Many are forced from school, damaging their future prospects ” expressed Marwah.
