London: The President of Marwah Studios and AAFT School of Fashion And Design Sandeep Marwah visited London-the capital of international fashion on a study tour to enhance his knowledge about design industry.

“A tour to London has given me a new knowledge about international fashion and design- the making, distribution, sales and marketing of the products. It is very important for the manufacturer to understand the changing trends in International fashion & design market so that he can create a strong hold for his products,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Fashion And Design surveying Oxford, Regent and Bond Streets in London W1.

“India has grown much bigger in size as far as garment export is concerned. A large number of manufacturers, designers, cloth merchants and companies have come into this business. There is a huge internal market of less expensive clothes in India for one billion people,” added Rajat Kumar of Pooja International in a meeting in London. He is also on the board of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

“I am visiting best of the stores including Selfridges, Mark And Spencer, Primark, River Island, Harrods, John Lewis and studying known brands like Aston Martin, Burberry, Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani etc. to include into the syllabus of our institution,” said Sandeep Marwah.

To bring World Fashion into India Sandeep Marwah has recently launched Global Fashion Week Noida where 40 countries participated and was also attended by the super models of 34 countries of the World.

Marwah has invited few popular fashion designers and models from United Kingdom this time to visit Marwah Studios in the next session of Fashion School.

NFTC Plans Tour to London For Training

London: National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited will plan a study tour for the students of tourism to the city of London, United Kingdom for their training in perfect tourism.

“The level of tourist pouring in London from all over the World, through out the year amazes me. There is not even singe week where tourism activities are at its low. 31.5 million tourists in a year in this city makes London as the most faverouite city of the World,” informed Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of NFTC at a press conference at Hotel Millennium, Mayfair, London.

We are planning a tour of students of tourism from India to see for them how this city has grown with the help of strong tourism. I am sure the trip will be a lesson in itself,” added Marwah.

AVT Shankardass is a motion picture financier and producer. His films include, Captain America: The First Avenger (Chris Evans), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (Tom Cruise) and Superman: Man of Steel (Henry Cavill).

Shankardass worked in theatre as a director in London and Edinburgh. After a brief transition into film directing with Praying for Pay, The Commuters and The Stepmother, he moved to film production. He joined Victory Productions, UK-based Film Finance Corporation, as Head of Motion Picture and produced The War Zone and A Fortune Teller Told Me. He also wrote and developed ‘Saffron’, ‘A Drop of Life’ and ‘Noor’.

 Later, as CEO & Managing Director of Victory Productions, he financed successful films such as K-19: The Widowmaker (Harrison Ford & Liam Neeson), and Femme Fatale (Antonio Banderas) and produced Spy Game (Brad Pitt), Alexander (Colin Farrell), Fly Boys (James Franco), Johnny Was (Vinnie Jones) and Ball & Chain (Kal Penn). He was also a screenwriter with Tomhawk Entertainment and Warner Bros for 5 years.

“It is a historical day and we are creating a World Record of conducting 94^th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films. The first festival in the World to touch 94^th edition, happens four times in a year, showcased 2300 directors debut short films in last 24 years,” introduced the festival by Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

“It is like a dream to plan, design and conduct 4 editions of the festival in one single year and reaching to 94^th edition in 24 years of its existence, three cheers to Sandeep Marwah an international media Guru,” said Isaiah Anthony a writer and motivator from Nigeria at the inauguration of the festival.
