New Delhi: Film Expo India 2026, a major five-day exhibition dedicated to the film and media industry, was inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Vice President of the Film Federation of India (FFI), and Chancellor of AAFT University, performing the ceremonial lamp lighting.

The exhibition, being held from 26th to 30th August 2026, brings together a wide spectrum of the entertainment and creative ecosystem, including filmmakers, producers, distributors, film educators, OTT platforms, technology companies, film institutes, equipment manufacturers and creative professionals.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Film Expo India is an important platform for the Indian film and media industry. For the first time, such a large congregation of the complete film ecosystem is coming together under one roof, creating opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, business partnerships and technological advancement.”

“India is today one of the largest and most vibrant markets for cinema and entertainment. We need more platforms where technology, talent, education and industry can interact with each other. Film Expo India can become an important meeting point for the national and international film fraternity,” Dr. Marwah added.

He further highlighted the importance of connecting film education with the professional industry. Students from AAFT and other leading institutions participated in the exhibition, visited the stalls and interacted with industry professionals, gaining valuable first-hand exposure to the latest developments in cinema and media.

Founder Director Jyoti Brahmanand welcomed the guests and participants and said that Film Expo India was conceived as a dedicated platform to bring together different segments of the film and media industry. She expressed confidence that the expo would grow into a major annual gathering for professionals, businesses, educators and creative talent.

CEO Mukesh Kumar spoke about the scale and vision of the exhibition and said that the response from the industry demonstrated the growing need for a platform where stakeholders could showcase their products, services, technology and expertise while exploring new business opportunities.

Noida: A special workshop on cinema and acting was conducted by renowned actor Harshul Kaul at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida, providing aspiring actors and young filmmakers an opportunity to learn directly from an experienced professional from the Indian entertainment industry.

Harshul Kaul, known for his work in feature films including Dhurandhar (2025)Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026) and the acclaimed series Paatal Lok (2020), interacted with the students and shared valuable insights into the craft of cinema, acting and the functioning of the film industry.

During the workshop, Harshul Kaul spoke about his experiences in cinema and discussed the importance of understanding a character, preparing for a role, discipline, observation and continuous learning. He encouraged the participants to develop their individual identity as performers and to remain committed to their craft.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Vijay Goel, Former Union Minister and Vice Chairperson, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti; H.E. Welcoming the guests and the new students, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, said that AAFT has always believed in providing education beyond classrooms by combining academic learning with practical exposure, industry interaction and international cultural exchange.

H.E. Ms. Nadeska Imara Cuthbert Carlson, Ambassador of Nicaragua, congratulated the students and appreciated AAFT for its contribution to media, arts and creative education. She highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy and people-to-people relations and expressed the hope that young Indian and Nicaraguan creative professionals would find more opportunities to connect, collaborate and understand each other’s cultures.

Dr. Ajit Pathak, President of PRSI, spoke about the growing importance of communication, public relations and responsible media in shaping society. He advised the students to develop strong communication skills, professional ethics and the ability to adapt to the changing media landscape.

Brig. Sujit Narain, YSM, SM (Gallantry), Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, Government of NCT of Delhi, inspired the students with his message on discipline, leadership, courage and commitment. He urged the young generation to set clear goals and work consistently towards achieving them.

Dr. Subhash Goyal, CMD, STIC India, shared his experiences from the travel and tourism sector and highlighted the enormous opportunities available to young professionals in India’s growing tourism, hospitality and international travel industries.

Richa Mehta, Actor and Model, interacted with the students and spoke about her journey in the entertainment industry. She encouraged aspiring actors and media professionals to believe in themselves, continuously improve their skills and remain persistent in pursuing their dreams.

The speakers also interacted with the new students and answered their questions, making the inauguration an engaging and inspiring beginning to their academic journey.

Noida: A powerful and highly interactive session with Padma Shri Ujjwal Nikam, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and renowned Special Public Prosecutor, was organised during the Orientation Programme for the new students of Asian Law College, Noida.

Addressing the students, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor and Founder of Asian Law College, welcomed Padma Shri Ujjwal Nikam and said that interaction with eminent legal professionals provides young law students with invaluable exposure to the realities of the legal profession.
