International Festival of Short Films At PHD Chamber

An International Film Festival of short films under the banner “Dream To Cannes-Through 100 Years of Indian Cinema” was inaugurated by Uday K Varma the secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India at PHD Chamber of Commerce at New Delhi jointly designed by Marwah Studios and Directorate of Film Festival. “We all are celebrating 100 years of Cinema. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the whole film fraternity. The producing of films is now very expensive exercise. Most of the producers are busy in recovering the cost of the film in which sometimes they loose the idea of making of good cinema” reminded Uday K Varma addressing the huge international gathering. “We have been promoting short films from last 20 years and festivals are the best way to showcase these films” said Sandeep Marwah World Recorder holder of producing largest number of short films. Nine different films from India, Poland, China, Lithuania, Greece, Philippines, Vietnam, Slovenia and Spain were screened.

Indian Film Industry Has Done Well Despite of Not Much Government Help-Uday Varma

“The numbers of films have gone up, and the quality is as good as international, Indian Film Industry has done extremely well even without much government support” said Uday K. Varma IAS Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India at the inauguration of International Festival of Short Films designed by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Marwah Studios in association with Directorate of Film Festival at New Delhi. “We are now the biggest film industry of the World and business wise we have yet to grow to tap more national and international market” said Alok B. Shriram vice President of PHD introducing the subject to the large audience including film, television and media persons from different countries of the World. Today with digitalization it is now easy to make the film but difficult to sell & market the film. Films are the Ambassador of culture of any country and Festivals are the best showcase to project them. In series of 9 festivals we have introduced for the nation this is now the 10th in the row” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios and Chairperson of Entertainment & Media Committee of PHD. Nine short films were screened from China, Lithuania, Greece, Poland, Spain, Philippines, Vietnam, Slovenia and India. 77th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated

“Showcasing cinema is the ultimate for a film maker. AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is the only festival in the World touching 77th Edition and festival which happens four times in a year.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing the guest on the formal inauguration of the AAFT festival of Short Digital Films at Noida Film City. “I am pleased to be part of this international event. The film festivals encourage young film makers and give them motivation to get involve in more films” said Sumana Mukherjee renowned film maker from Kolkata. The festival was designed by AAFT. In total more than 2000 films have been screened in last twenty years. 1100 directors from 60 countries have been given opportunity to showcase their debut film in the festival informed Sandeep Marwah. “I wish you a great luck on achieving an extra ordinary level by launching 77th AAFT festival of short digital films, the only festival to touch 77th edition in the World” said Prof. Harshvardhan while releasing the poster at Marwah Studios Film City Noida. “We have gone out of way to save the series of this festival and reached to 77th edition which is an international record now” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. IFTC Presents 77th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films

A 20 years old International Film And Television Club formed by International media personality Sandeep Marwah once again going to present 77th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films on 25th February 2013. More than 1600 films have been shown in last 19 years during 76 festivals made by the cast and crew from 90 countries of the World. Out of which 1100 films have been made by the new directors and they have been their debut films. “We are going to show some of the best films during the festival made during the 77th batch of AAFT” said Prof. Kalyan Sarkar festival director of AAFT. “We include all the films made during the 77th batch of AAFT as part of the festival. 25 Years of Noida Film City Celebrated at Global Festival of Journalism

“It was in February 1988 when the project of Noida Film City took its full shape for the allotment of plots in the city whereas allotments were made in the month March” recollected Sandeep Marwah Founder of Noida Film City who not only designed the whole project but also persuaded the whole affair with Yogesh Chandra IAS then the Chairman of NOIDA. Noida Film City is now 25 years old. It was inaugurated by then the Chief Minister Late Vir Bahadur Singh under the supervision of Brijendra Sahay IAS then the Chairperson of Noida. Original there was 12 allotments, but later 4 plots were carved to make it 16. Global Festival of Journalism Noida is dedicated to 25 years celebration of Noida Film City. “We were first one to be here as Marwah Studios and wanted to be the first one to celebrate 25 years” added Marwah with great enthusiasm. Special events were impressed during GFJN 2013 to count 25 years of Noida Film City.

Hundreds of cartoons were displayed during the second day of the Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 in the exhibition hall of Marwah Studios by renowned cartoonist Sudhir Talang. “Cartoons have become the part of life. One political cartoon has become part of every important newspaper not only in India but abroad too” reminded Sandeep Marwah while introducing Padam Shri Sudhir Talang to the large international audience at the festival. “I am emotional about my cartoons and especially this exhibition as after many years someone has thought of putting up an exhibition of cartoons” said Sudhir Taland who has been producing cartoons from last 30 years. Three days grand Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 came to an end with the presentation of Awards followed by a high powered entertainment program designed & choreographed by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Communication and Asian Academy of Film And Television. Two Days Indo Nigerian Film Association Meet Begins At Marwah Studios

“After India, Nigeria is emerging as the second largest producer country of films in the World. Hollywood now stands third in the list” informed Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Indo Nigerian Film Association designated by Government of Nigeria. A two day meet was planned and designed for the visiting delegation from Nigeria under the leadership of H.E. Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso State of Kano which is the fastest growing state in Nigeria. Sandeep Marwah Will Inaugurate Children Section of NBT

Sandeep Marwah was invited to inaugurate the children’s Section during International Book Fair of National Book Trusts, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Last year it was 100 years of Indian Cinema celebrated by NBT at Book Fair and this time Children’s section which is to be emphasized” said Sandeep Marwah. National Book Trust, (NBT) is an Indian publishing house, founded in 1957 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education within the Government of India. Jawaharlal Nehru envisioned that the NBT would be a bureaucracy-free structure that would publish low-cost books. The activities of the Trust include publishing, promotion of books and reading, promotion of Indian books abroad, assistance to authors and publishers, and promotion of children’s literature. NBT publishes reading material in several Indian languages for all age-groups, including books for children and neo-literates.

A 20 years old Media school Asian School of Media Studies-ASMS is out and out there to promote better journalism and has carved out an international body under the name and banner of International Journalism Centre.
