Farooq Sheikh Remembered at Marwah Studios



“We have not only lost a veteran actor but also a very nice human being. Our association with Farooq was a long one” said Sandeep Marwah expressing his gratitude towards departed soul who has been a senior member of the film fraternity.

Farooq Sheikh was popular with his first film Garam Hava and then never looked back.  Some of his most prominent films like Shatranj Ke Khilari, Gaman,  Noorie, Umrao Jaan, Chashme Badoor, Sath Sath, Bazar, Gharwalli Baharwali, Maya Memsaab, Mohabbat, Lahore and Ye Jawani Hai Dewani etc have been appreciated by public and critics.

“The film family has lost a very important member. The loss is irreparable. We all pray for his soul to rest in peace. We have worked with him in Ji Mantri Ji and Ji Pradhan Mantri Ji two TV series for NDTV at Marwah Studios for more than 3 months. He had been also the member with us at PHD Chamber of Commerce in Entertainment & Media Committee” informed Marwah.


Sandeep Marwah Honored Kellyn Lindsay at Noida Film City


‘I am pleased with the honor bestowed upon me at Noida Film City, meeting World Record Holder Sandeep Marwah, a legend in an entertainment & Media Industry is an opportunity, my stopover to India is complete now” said Kellyn Lindsay on her visit to Marwah Studios.

Kellyn Lindsay has been popular for her performance in feature film Where Are You Sophia, 20 Mississippi, The Angel Within, Lonely Joe, Night of the Pumpkin and Two Night Stand which is complete now along with number of TV Series and Music Videos she has given to the entertainment World.

“I am happy to receive Kellyn whom I met first at Cannes International Film Festival. She has a lot of potential as an actor and can be part of Bollywood too if she desires” said Sandeep Marwah honoring her with Life Membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

Grand Show by Gurinder Seagal at Marwah Studios



What compositions, what beat and Gurinder Seagal won the hearts of all the media students who all were attending the music concert designed by AB Productions of Aman Khurana at Marwah Studios.

“This is my first show in India and I am lucky that I have been blessed by the veteran media person Sandeep Marwah. I have gained a lot today at Marwah Studios not only name and fame but a great association” said Gurinder Seagal after entertaining for two hours at Noida Film City.

“The response was more than my own expectations; my event management company has been established with the first show. I am thankful to Sandeep Marwah who trusted  me.” said Aman Khurana, the promoter of Gurinder from London.


The show was attended by all the outgoing students of 81st batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television. Later Sandeep Marwah honored the guest with the life membership of International Film And Television Club.

Noida 22.12.2013: “Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Noida Film City, the first professional film studios of North India and premier film school of the country, has brought the name of Noida to the World Level” read the citation by  Vineet Chaudhary in a function organized by Hai Umeed to honour personalities of Noida at Indira Gandhi Auditorium at Noida

“Not only 350 channels are now beaming to World from Noida Film City but persons from 100 countries have come to AAFT Noida to learn films, television and media business from Sandeep Marwah” added Vineet Chaudhary announcing ‘Pride Of Noida Award’ for Marwah.

The award was handed over to Sandeep Marwah by Anil Shastri Member of Congress Working Committee, former union Minister and son of Late Prime Minister Lal Bahadhur Shastri. The event was attended by who’s who of Noida city.

International Human Solidarity Day at Marwah Studios


“The General Assembly, on 22 December 2005, identified solidarity as one of the fundamental and universal values that should underlie relations between peoples in the Twenty-first century, and in that regard decided to proclaim 20 December of each year International Human Solidarity Day” informed Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace And Research Foundation and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations. 

General Assembly also established the World Solidarity Fund, which was set up in February 2003 as a trust fund of the 
United Nations Development Program. Its objective is to eradicate poverty and promote human and social development in developing countries, in particular among the poorest segments of their populations.

“I urge people from all nations, faiths, cultures, and traditions to work together in common cause to keep the promise made at the turn of millennium and leave a legacy of peace prosperity and sustainable progress for generations to come” said Ban Ki-moon Secretary General of United Nations.

To mark respect to the day a poster on International Human Solidarity Day  has been released at Marwah Studios by Sandeep Marwah accompanied by media person Suniel Parashar, Event Promoter Aman Khurana, Educationist Barnava Sarma and renowned singer Gurinder Seaghal.

President of PHDCCI Appreciated Efforts of Sandeep Marwah



“It is a matter of great pride that our Chairperson for Entertainment & Media Committee Sandeep Marwah has again been nominated as the Chairperson of Indo South Africa Film Association” said Suman Jyoti Khaitan President of PHDCCI during the last meeting of management committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce for the year 2013.

The Association has been framed and constituted by the Government of South Africa by the Trade and Industry Minister H.E. Elizabeth Thabethe who was here in New Delhi with her delegation as the guest of honor to inaugurate the International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan on 14th November, 2013 along with H.E. Pranab Mukherjee the President of India as Chief Guest. South Africa was the focus country in the Trade Fair for the second time.

International Migration Day Observed at Marwah Studios



“At the High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development in October 2013, Member States unanimously adopted a Declaration in which they recognized the important contribution of migration to development and called for greater cooperation to address the challenges of irregular migration and to facilitate safe, orderly and regular migration” stated Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization & President World Peace Development And Research Foundation on launching the poster for the day.

 The Declaration also emphasized the need to respect the human rights of migrants and to promote international labor standards. The Declaration strongly condemns manifestations of racism and intolerance and stresses the need to improve public perceptions of migrants and migration.

Human Rights Day Educated at Marwah Studios



Noida 10th Dec. 2013 “The UN General Assembly proclaimed 10 December as Human Rights Day in 1950, to bring to the attention ‘of the peoples of the world’ the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations” informed Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations.

Sandeep Marwah educated the media students of Asian Education Group consisting of AAFT, ASMS and ASC at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City that Human Rights is recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family which is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.

Further Sandeep Marwah said that everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

He condensed that it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations, people and their communities of any kind.

Team of Chooda Ek Pratha At Marwah Studios

     
It was an excitement for the student of journalism and film production of Asian Academy of Film And Television to interact with the complete team of feature film “Chooda Ek Pratha” when they all visited Marwah Studios at Noida Film City
.
“We have been organizing interaction with film stars so that our students get firsthand experience in journalism and film making from the giants of industry” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios welcoming the team of the film.

The film has Chandrachur Singh( Maachis Fame), Ekta Tewari (Tere Mere Sapne)Arjun Firoz Khan(Mahabharat Fame)Seema (Masti)Shivani Vazeer Pasrich, Gulshan Pandey, Ravi Jhangu, Lokesh Tilak Dhari and Vikrant Pahwa.

Film is produced by Praveen Narayan Agrawal, Aviral Raj Sharma has assisted in Direction and the film is Directed by  Ravinder Singh Rajawat. The music is composed by Balkrishan Sharma and sung by Jaswinder Narula, Shobha Moudgil, Kailash Kher and Kalpana Patowari.


“A mix team of Delhi and Mumbai giving this film a feeling of National integration of art and culture of our own country” said Chandrachur Singh playing Thakur in the film. The film tells about the social evils against women in the society.

She was crowned by Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 Himangini Singh Yadu who is also from India. She also won the Best National Costume Award and the Best Personality Award at Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 Beauty Pageant.

Poster of International Volunteer Day Released at Marwah Studios


“International Volunteer Day (IVD) offers an opportunity for volunteer organizations and individual volunteers to make visible their contributions - at local, national and international levels - to the achievement of the Millennium Achievement Goals” informed Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation & Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.
Apart from mobilizing thousands of volunteers every year, the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme works closely with partners and governments to establish national volunteer programmes to create structures that foster and sustain local volunteerism in countries.

On International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2013, we not only celebrate and recognize volunteerism in all its facets – but pay special tribute to the contribution of youth volunteers in global peace and sustainable human development.

Marwah Studios Create Awareness About International Day of Disability


Around the world, one billion persons with disabilities face physical, social, economic and attitudinal barriers that exclude them from participating fully and effectively as equal members of society. They are disproportionately represented among the world’s poorest, and lack equal access to basic resources, such as education, employment, healthcare and social and legal support systems.
“In spite of this situation, disability has remained largely invisible in the mainstream development agenda and its processes. We need to create a lot of awareness” informed Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation & Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.
Sandeep Marwah sanctioned a special program of half an hour every week on the subject on Radio Noida 107.4FM for a period of one year.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is marked around the world annually on 3 December, as per General Assembly of UN to promote awareness and mobilize support for critical issues pertaining to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in society and development.

Gurmmeet Singh Pays His Gratitude To AAFT

Gurmmeet Singh's 'What The Fish', which was ready for release, will now hit theatres on December 13. The film stars veteran actress Dimple Kapadia in the lead.

The film's story revolves around the protagonist who has to leave town and needs someone to take care of her money plant and fish. She then decides to leave the house in the care of her niece. The film is about the hilarious turn of events which take place in the house in her absence.

The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery Discussed at Marwah Studios


“Times have changed. Everyone has the right to live the life in their own way and style within permissible laws of land. The Slavery must be removed from the society” said Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation & Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.
The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, 2 December, marks the date of the adoption, by the General Assembly, of the United Nations Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others.
The focus of this day is on eradicating contemporary forms of slavery, such as trafficking in persons, sexual exploitation, the worst forms of child labour, forced marriage, and the forced recruitment of children for use in armed conflict.


We have lost Nelson Mandela the World Leader-Sandeep Marwah



Recently nominated Chairperson of Indo South Africa Film Association and President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation  Sandeep Marwah expressed his feelings on the death of Nelson Mandela and said” we have lost the light, we have lost the World leader and a real Gandhian.

The Nobel Peace Prize laureate was one of the world's most revered statesmen after preaching reconciliation despite being imprisoned for 27 years.

“ wherever we are in the world, let us reaffirm his vision of a society in which none is exploited, oppressed or dispossessed by another," said Chandra Kant Patil Kharare Secretary General of World Peace Development And Research Foundation. World Aids Day Observed at Marwah Studios



Marwah Studios in association with World Peace Development And Research Foundation-WPDRF observed Worlds Aid Days at Noida Film City. “On this World AIDS Day, let us resolve to consign AIDS to the pages of history” said Sandeep Marwah President of WPDRF and Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nation.
“On this World AIDS Day, I am more optimistic than ever. Much of the world is accelerating progress in responding to HIV.  There are significant decreases in new infections and deaths, and we are making good progress in realizing our target of ensuring 15 million people have access to antiretroviral treatment by 2015.  This is crucial to halting and reversing the AIDS epidemic for good” read Viney Kumar message of Ban Ki moon Secretary General UN.

7th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Announced



The 7th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema announced by  AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television in the third week of January for all the short films and stills clicked by the mobile phones of individuals.

“Like last time this time also the competition is open to the whole World. Anyone who loves to click a still picture and wants to make a 3 minute movie by mobile phone can be participant of the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT while announcing the date to be 28th January. 2014.

The announcement is made public and people will be informed through emails and other social media sites. “We are expecting this time more than 1000 entries from the World as mobile cinema has grown in last 7 seven years” added Marwah.

The venue for the festival will remain Marwah Studios Complex, Film City, Noida.

“All the segments of media- print, radio, television, cinema and new media have been digitalize. It has some great advantages and some disadvantages too” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Media & Entertainment Committee of Indo American Chamber of Commerce in Indo US Resurgence Summit at Hotel Hyatt explaining size of two biggest film industries of India and USA.

“We have lost the track, we are following western World and forgetting our own values ” said Ashok Tyagi producer Director from Mumbai fame for Surkhiyan, Andher Gardi, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.” We have lost a lot in piracy, new ways are there to stop but need to enforce the law too” added Stephen Mathias senior Lawyer from Bangalore.

Global Media Award for Satish Garg at 6th GFFN



The 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 constituted Global Media Awards last year for all those people who have contributed not only in main stream of media but also in media education.

Last year the award was bestowed upon Prof. Kalyan Sarkar, Prof. Mansoor Naqvi and Prof. Harshvardhan for their contribution to media education. This year Prof. Satish Garg has been nominated for this prestigious award.

Satish Garg has worked in Doordarshan for more than thirty years. Some of the finest programmes had been planned under his guidance and supervision. He had been the executive producer of the first soap opera of the country Hum Log. He had also been the first dean of Asian School of Media Studies.

The award was handed over to Satish Garg by Sandeep Marwah in the presence of Jeno Hodi, Karl Bardosh, Judith Lazar, R.K.Singh, Dr. Shobha Kulsherstra and a large audience.


Khoj Sitaron Ki Musical Award Show Attracted Many



A Jam packed Pearey Lal Bhawan studded with some of the important people like Pt. Mani Prasad Ji renowned Vocalist from Kirana Gharana, President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah, Dean Music Faculty Delhi University Vidhushi Uma Garg, Devotional Singers Piyusha Kailas Anuj and Play back singer Saroj Mishra saw the closure of Khoj Sitaron Ki to select the finalists.

“Life is boring without music; we Indians have music and songs for all occasions and it is also necessary to promote music and identify people out of lot who can do justice to it” said Sandeep Marwah.

Posthumous Award for Rituparna Ghosh at 6th GFFN



“We have lost a great artist, but his films will always remind us of him” said Sandeep Marwah President of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 on the second day of the festival announcing Posthumous Life Time Achievement Award to renowned film director Rituparna Ghosh.
Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee said "I cannot believe that Rituparno is no more. We lost a very promising film director at a very early age.” Konkona Sen Sharma, who acted in Ghosh's 'Titli' and 'Dosar', said that Ghosh's death was a great personal loss for her. Actor Arindam Sil requested to observe the day as a day of national mourning. Rituparna Sengupta described Ghosh as a creative genius who had enriched the Bengali film industry emotionally and culturally.
Amitabh Bachchan remembered Ghosh as the only director who had worked with every member of the Bachchan family. He tweeted. “Film director Shyam Benegal said, Ghosh's death was a "huge tragedy.
The award will be sent to the family of Rituparna Ghosh in Calcutta by the representative of 6th Global Film Festival.

The management of 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 decided this time to honor three important film makers of the country with life time achievement award one on each day of the festival.

The third day of the festival life time achievement award was handed over to the legend of Indian Film Industry Kumar Shahani by another very well known film maker Saaed Mirza and Sandeep Marwah.

Kumar Shahani is a noted Indian film director  known for his films like Maya Darpan, Tarang, Khayal Gatha, Kasba and many other documentaries and short films. He is the recipient of three film fare awards and many other National level and international awards.

The award was handed over to Kumar Shahani at Marwah Studios in the presence of Jeno Hodi Film Maker from Hollywood,, Rakesh Bedi renowned actor, AshokTyagi film Director and a large audience. The function was followed by an entertainment program.

12th February Will Be Celebrated as International Day of Journalism



It was only this year in 2013 first time when 12TH February has been declared as International Day of Journalism by World renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah as it was never marked by any directories of the World earlier.

Now like last year to mark respect to this date a Global Festival of Journalism has been designed once again by the International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios who are running one of the biggest journalism school of the World, a family of 15000 media professionals.

“I am proud to be the part of the declaration where International Day of Journalism has been declared on 12th February. I am sure the whole World will follow this date in due course of time” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.

“We need a lot of extra co-circular activities along with class room studies to bring in more confidence in the life of students in the school itself” said Sandeep Marwah a renowned educationist and a media personality while addressing on the annual day of Khaitan Public School in Noida.

“The performance of 600 students on the stage shows the level of interest and dedication this school has in uplifting the level of education. The school should be an example to others.” added Marwah distributing awards and certificates to the students in different disciplines of education and fields of art and culture.

More than 1500 people attended the event designed to its best for two hours under the supervision of the Principle S.K.Mishra.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women at Marwah Studios



“Violence against women is a human rights violation; Violence against women is a consequence of discrimination against women, in law and also in practice, and of persisting inequalities between men and women” ” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation on the International Day for the elimination of Violence against Women at Marwah Studios.


 Violence against women impacts on, and impedes, progress in many areas, including poverty eradication, combating HIV/AIDS, and peace and security” added Sandeep Marwah who is also the Chairperson of International Women’s Film Forum.

Violence against women and girls is not inevitable. Prevention is possible and essential. Violence against women continues to be a global pandemic. Up to 70 per cent of women experience violence in their lifetime. An awareness programs are to be introduced all over India.


Africa Industrialization Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios


Sandeep Marwah the chairperson of Indo Nigerian Film Association, Indo Sudan Cultural Forum, Indo Senegal Film Association and Indo South Africa Film Association celebrated Africa Industrialization Day with media persons at Marwah Studios on 20th November.
 Within the framework of the Second Industrial Development Decade for Africa (1991-2000), the UN General Assembly, in 1989, proclaimed 20 November Africa Industrialization Day.  The Day is intended to mobilize the commitment of the international community to the industrialization of Africa.
This year’s Africa Industrialization Day highlights the crucial role of job creation and entrepreneurship in eradicating poverty.

 “Although Africa is home to some of the world’s fastest growing economies but still too many people are still being left behind. Let us work together to foster job creation and entrepreneurship throughout the continent as critical ways to build a more prosperous and sustainable future for all." said Ban Ki-moon Secretary General of United Nations.

World Television Day Attended by Many at Marwah Studios


Most of the time film city is working for television. We make 3600 hours of cinema and around 100,000 hours of TV program in India in a year” informed Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations in a media meet at Marwah Studios.
In recognition of the increasing impact television has on decision-making by bringing world attention to conflicts and threats to peace and security and its potential role in sharpening the focus on other major issues, including economic and social issues, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 November as World Television Day.
“World Television Day is not so much a celebration of the tool, but rather the philosophy which it represents. Television represents a symbol for communication and globalization in the contemporary world” added Sandeep Marwah.


Workshop at Marwah Studios on World Philosophy Day



A special work shop was organized of all the professionals and new writers at Marwah Studios to discuss their point of view on different subject out of their imagination and research to understand the different philosophy of life.

“When you talk and listen to someone you understand and realize different point of view of life,that is the purpose of our workshop” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations and President of Asian Academy of Arts on the World Philosophy Day.


World Philosophy Day was introduced on Thursday of the third week of November in 2002 by UNESCO to honour philosophical reflection in the entire world by opening up free and accessible spaces. Its objective is to encourage the peoples of the world to share their philosophical heritage and to open their minds to new ideas, as well as to inspire a public debate between intellectuals and civil society on the challenges confronting our society.

Universal Children’s Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios



It is just a coincidence that in India we celebrate Children’s Day on 14th November, the Birthday of late Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and Universal Children’s Day falls on 20th November so the celebrations continue for a week at Marwah Studios” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum and International Children’s Film Forum organized the meeting at Marwah Studios to celebrate Children’s day.


 The General Assembly recommended that all countries institute a Universal Children's Day, to be observed as a day of worldwide fraternity and understanding between children. It recommended that the Day was to be observed also as a day of activity devoted to promoting the ideals and objectives of the Charter and the welfare of the children of the world.

International Day of Tolerance Reminds Respect for Others-Sandeep Marwah

Shael Created Musical Ending to 6th Global Film Festival Noida



“It was a great whether, large motivated and charged crowd, excellent music and an international level singer-what else you look for- a warm and a musical ending to 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013 at Marwah studios” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios.

Shael with hit songs like “Soniye Heeriye Teri Yaad Aandi Hai”, “Dial Jaaniya” and “Pehla Nasha Pyaar Kar”, he managed to carve out his own space in the music world. The Ludhiana-born singer, now settled in Singapore, keeps coming back to India for the sheer love of music. He was at Marwah Studios in Noida for the finale of the 6th Global Film Festival where he sang some half-a-dozen songs to a standing ovation.


“I have enjoyed singing with such a huge and energetic audience it is rare to find such a fantastic people and most of them from film, television and media” said Shael while thanking everyone from the musical stage.

AAFT And University of East London Will Work Together



“We are very familiar with the popularity of AAFT-Asian Academy of film And Television in the field of media education and training, we would love to work together for promotion of film, TV and media education” said Professor Nora Ann Colton, Dean, Royal Docks Business School and Head of University of East London International during her visit to Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.
