Noida: The President of Republic of Cyprus gave a special audience to the renowned film personality of India Sandeep Marwah during his visit to India at New Delhi.

Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and also the president of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has been recently nominated as the Chairperson of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum, was blessed by the President of Republic of Cyprus.

In a short meeting Marwah was advised by H.E. Nicos Anastasiades the president of Cyprus to bring two countries close to each other through art and culture, films, television and media activities.

“I am honored to be with you, these precious moments have added a new energy in me. I will leave no stone unturned to develop and promote the relations between the two countries,” said Sandeep Marwah presenting a patron ship of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum to H.E. Nicos Anastasiades President of Cyprus.

“I invite you to Cyprus to see for your self this beautiful country which is so picturesque,” said H.E. Nicos Anastasiades President of Cyprus while accepting the Patron ship of ICFCF. H.E. Demitrios A. Theophylactou the High Commissioner of Republic of Cyprus to India initiating the meeting.

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios briefed the President of Republic of Cyprus H.E. Nicos Anastasiades with the length and breath of film business of India and formation of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum.

Marwah handed over the scholarship for the deserving student from Republic of Cyprus, for a short term course at the premier film school- Asian Academy of Film And Television, to the president as a gesture of friendship & goodwill.

The decision was taken during the meeting of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum with H.E. Demitrios A. Theophylactou High Commissioner of Republic of Cyprus to India informed International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“It is a good beginning from you. I am sure Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum will work as the bridge between the two cultures of the countries,” said H.E. Nicos Anastasiades.“We have designed numerous programs to bring the people of two nations close to each other,” added Marwah.

Noida: AAFT is the only film and television school in the World where 95th session has been opened with the students from all over the country of India and abroad.

“We are 95th batch old, it has added ample experience to all the faculty members to part with best of the knowledge possible as far as film, television and media industry is concerned,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“AAFT will provide you enough education and training to be successful in this business subject to your punctuality, regularity, sincerity and dedication-the four pillar to success,” added Marwah talking about norms of the industry.

Dean AAFT Prof. Kalyan Sarkar, Associate Dean Prof. Mansoor Naqvi, Dean Acting Prof Satish Anand and Head Post Production Prof. V.S.Kanan also spoke on the occasion of opening class.

Students introduced themselves in the classroom at AAFT and were fascinated by the infrastructure and facilities being provided to them.

“We are more than happy to work together in the creative fields be it a film, television, animation or fashion. I am sure together we can produce better results,” said Prof. Stuart Bartholomew Principal and Vice Chancellor of Arts University of Bournemouth.

Arts University Bournemouth- AUB is a further and Education University based in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom, specializing in art, performance, design, and media. It was formerly known as The Arts University College at Bournemouth and The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.

Sandeep Marwah was invited by the Vice Chancellor of British University to UK to sign MOU in the next few weeks. Also accompanied the Vice Chancellor was the India head of the institution Robin Zadara. Aamir Abdullah Director AAFT- School of Cinema briefed the delegation with the achievements of film school.

 Later Marwah honored Bartholomew with the life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre of Asian Academy of Film And TV.

Dance Recital by Disciples of Guru Meenu Thakur





Noida: The disciples of Guru Meenu Thakur a maestro in Kuchipudi Dance sytle presented an electrifying performance on the third day of 1st Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2017 in an open stage.

“We are feeling strong to present the Indian style of dancing to the large foreign audience present here on the final day of show. These Indian dances and their total getups have given us ample to learn for the fashion. Many designs and accessories have been an inspiration for fashion designers,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Fashion Week.

“Kuchipudi deals mainly with religious themes and relies on the philosophy of living being’s desire to merge with God. Dance is not just a hobby it's a way of life’” said Preeti Sharma now a professional Kuchipudi dancer who performed along with Deepika Bisht and Yoka Wo from Taiwan.

Meenu Thakur is an Indian Kuchipudi dance exponent, Guru and choreographer. She runs an institution ‘SURAMYA’ for teaching Kuchipudi to young learners in New Delhi. Meenu Thakur is also the culture columnist for the monthly current affairs magazine YOUNG INDIA.

New Delhi: Renowned film, television and media personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been honored with a prestigious Media Federation Award in a grand function at Pyarelal Bhawan New Delhi.

The 11th Media Federation Award was presented to some of the most prominent media persons of India who all have done a commendable works in their fields.

Sandeep Marwah is the only media person running and editing a weekly news paper, a 24 hours Radio Station, A 24 hours Television Station, A news Agency, a film & Television production house, a media research centre, a media club, an International Journalism Centre, a Journalism and media school and is a writer too said Arun Sharma president of Media Federation of India.

‘The Media Guru Award’ was presented to Sandeep Marwah by Mahant Aditya Krishna Giri in the presence of large audience. Later Sandeep Marwah also handed over awards to media persons.

We, at AAFT, are in higher education for last twenty-three years, all our film, television, media; fashion courses are running at a very subsidized course fee. Idea is to pass on the good education and training to larger number of students so that they can do well in life said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

“There is another segment in the country who all cannot afford even the basic school education, keeping that in mind we started a school under the name and banner of Apna School 8 years back with 8 students in Noida slum area of sector 16A with no fee. Now we are running twelve schools in 12 different areas of Noida slums with almost 800 students being taught free of cost,” said Mohit Marwah famous film personality.

“Today we are launching a new creative center for all these kids who will be provided with a basic knowledge about the creative arts like theatre, dance, music, films, paintings and talks by important people of the society,” added Mohit Marwah inaugurating the center.

These unprivileged children have no source otherwise to get affiliated to any of the arts available in the country. They have already been part of Global Film Festivals, Global Literary festivals, Global journalism Festivals organized by Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

These kids will have a golden opportunity to be part of Radio Noida, MSTV Channel, Painting competitions, a tour to New Delhi etc. in next few weeks.

The Centre is personally cared by cine star Mohit Marwah who has been philanthropist in his ideas. A special meeting has been organized with the young students with Mohit Marwah.

Noida: The first Fashion And Design Week Noida 2017 has brought many appreciations from all over the World to AAFT School of Fashion And Design, ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, Ministry of Textiles- Government of India and Marwah Studios for organizing a world class event.

The Super Models who were participants from 34 countries of the World presented Sandeep Marwah President of Global Fashion Week with the title “The Fashion Icon” duly signed by all of them as a mark of goodwill gesture.

“It is a great pleasure and honor to receive a Fashion Icon Award from the most beautiful girls of the World who all have created a wonderful niche for them selves in the field of fashion. This has given me new energy to work for the fashion industry,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on receiving the memento.

Noida: 34 Supermodels of 34 different countries of the World marked their presence in the first Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2017 making GFDWN as the biggest fashion week of the country of India.

“45 events, 9 fashion shows, 33000 footfalls, 40 countries in 4 days make first Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2017 as the biggest fashion week of the country,” informed Ritu Lal Director of GFDWN.

Workshops, seminars, talks, book releases, forum launches, film screenings, social issues, entertainment programs, fashion shows, award functions, master classes, stalls, poster releases etc. were the part of the show.

“It was great experience to be a part of Global Fashion Week,” said Maria Adao from Angola. “This is the first trip to India I am very excited,” said Rippi Hripsime Sargsya from Armenia. “Nice to find fashion and cinema together here,” added Marmin Safarova from Azerbaijan. “Great to know your involvement with Belgium,” said Anna Kapitejin from Belgium. “I invite you to my country,” said Kuch Mei Fung of Borneo (Malaysia) and Katherin Strickert of Brazil praised the nature of Indians.

 “We are excited about the event,” said Caucasus (Azerbaijan). The fashion week has given birth to Indo China Cultural Forum, I am proud to be here to support the idea,” said Zijun Zhang of China. Helene Hansen from Denmark Mekdalawit Mequanent from Ethiopia, Jasmine Jarvinen from Finland and Priyadarshini Borah of India also joined the fashion week.

The event became much more important when Sandeep Marwah announced the launching of Indo Ukraine Art And Cultural Forum to be inaugurated by Lt. Gen. K.M. Seth former Governor of Chhattisgarh and Andrii Muliarchuk Deputy Head of the Embassy of Ukraine to India.

Sandeep Marwah immediately after the release of poster of IUACF requested both the dignities to be the first patron of this newly formed committee of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Chopra is the Principal of DIA. She was formerly Professor and Chairperson of the Fashion Design Dept. of NIFT. A Ph.D. from I.I.T. Delhi, Prof. Chopra brought with her over thirty years of teaching, research and professional experience.

Her fifteen years of experience at NIFT has now put her in a position where she can contribute to the development and growth of this industry. During the course of her career she has handled various consultancy projects related to product development, research, costumes, display and publication.

94th Convocation of Trainees at AAFT



Noida: Asian Academy of Film And Television has grown big with its 94th convocation. The institution has so far interacted with nationals of 163 countries of the World. AAFT is the only institution, which is in skill development from last 23 years said by Prof. Kalyan Sarkar Dean of AAFT.

“We are proud of our alumni and today you the members of 94th batch of trainees are joining the club, we want all of you to use your education and training to the best of your ability to create name for yourself” said Sandeep Marwah President AAFT.

“Good habits and good deeds will always pay you in life. The sense of sacrifice will take you to better heights. Keep your enthusiasm on, it is the key word for success,” added Marwah while handing over the prestigious diplomas of AAFT to the students.

72 Students in short term and Post Graduate from the stream of Production Direction TV Journalism, Editing And Sound Recording, Acting And Presentation, Camera And Lighting Technics, Script Writing, Graphics And Animation, Sound And Radio, Still Photography and film production received their diplomas in a grand function followed by gala lunch.

Prof. Mansoor Naqvi, Prof. Satish Anand, Prof. V.S. Kanan, Prof. Arun Anand, Prof. Adil Rana, and others also spoke to the students. All those students who have done well in music and acting competitions were also awarded.

Noida: International Mother Earth Day is celebrated at Asian Academy of Film And Television to remind each of us that the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance.

“It also recognizes a collective responsibility to promote harmony with nature and the Earth to achieve a just balance among the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations of humanity,” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization and Patron to IFUNA affiliated to United Nations.

International Mother Earth Day provides an opportunity to raise public awareness around the world to the challenges regarding the well-being of the planet and all the life it supports. The theme for 2017 is "Environmental & Climate Literacy". 

“Education is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to our planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defense of environmental protection,” added Marwah addressing to media persons.

Environmental and climate literacy is the engine not only for creating green voters and advancing environmental and climate laws and policies but also for accelerating green technologies and jobs.

Noida: The President of Marwah Studios has announced AAFT Scholarship for the student from Montenegro during the launching of Indo Montenegro Art And Cultural Forum in a grand function at Noida Film City.

Indo Montenegro Art And Cultural Forum has been created to promote relations between people of India and Montenegro through films, television, media, art and culture during the First Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2017.

Asian Academy of Film And Television has greeted this gesture by declaring a scholarship of its short-term three months course in any of the streams along with boarding and lodging for the deserving student from Montenegro.

 In a rare honour of distinction, Dr Janice Darbari, a Delhi-based author has been selected for the position of Honorary Consul General for Republic of Montenegro in New Delhi. Darbari is the only author, writer and journalist given such a high prestige in India in the field of International diplomacy alongwith other notable names like KP Singh of DLF and Vivek Burman, chairman-Dabur. 

Darbari, who also contested the Lok Sabha polls in 1999 and 2004 from South Delhi, was appointed as the Special Representative – Emissary of the Republic of Macedonia to India in 1993. She also played key role in establishing formal diplomatic relationship with Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia (FYRO) in 1995.

Global Fashion And Design Week Noida Created History




Noida: “Never before any fashion and design school has taken so much of efforts to bring industry and education on the same platform to such a magnificent scale. we have created a history and a wonderful beginning in fashion and design world,” said Sandeep Marwah President AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

More than 40 countries participation, 100 different organizations of different fields including fashion, textile, furniture, jewelry, yoga, spiritual, health, modeling, beauty, makeup, educational institutions and media were the part and parcel of the show.

Painting exhibition, furniture exhibition, textile exhibition and jewelry exhibition all were inaugurated by the important dignities present at the show. Well-prepared fashion shows by the AAFT School of Fashion And Design brought many accolades to the fashion week.

John Uche Jesus, Dr. Kusum Chopra, Prasoon Dewan, Rahul Anand, Bharti Taneja, Iishika Taneja, Anushka Lal, shared their experiences through seminar on how to bridge the gap between education and industry.

Renowned exporters Rajat Jain of Pooja International and Nishith Sadh of Fancy Fashions, along with filmmakers from Los Angles Mike Berry, from UK Amita Shankar and from Mumbai Ashok Tyagi had a brain storming session on Film and Fashion moderated by Sandeep Marwah and followed by question answers.

Powerful workshop by young and known fashion designer Niket Mishra attracted many delegates to understand Start Up concept of Government of India in fashion and design industry. Renowned architect Harish Tripathi, fashion designer Rochika Agarwal and jewelry designer Sharmila Katrey had another panel discussion on ‘sustainable designing is a token of brand identity’.

Social issues were not forgotten and GFDWN in association with International Children’s Film Forum picked up this time a sensitive subject of child kidnapping under the guidance of Dr. Vandana Gulia of an organization called ‘No More Missing’ anchored by Sushil Bharti and supported by ICFF director Madhavi Advani discussed at length with huge participation bt the delegates.

Ritu Lal the director of the show supervised all the events and said that fashion week has brought new energy to the trade and turned out to be a learning experience for all of us. The evenings were full of fashion shows of different kinds.
