World Radio Day Celebrated At PHD Chamber of Commerce

As a Part of Global Festival of Journalism 2013 PHD Chamber of Commerce also celebrated World Radio Day at the Chamber in association with Marwah Studios on the dedicated day of 13th February exact one day after the International Day of Journalism on 12th February. “Radio is a part of our life now” said Suman Jyoti Khaitan while presenting the theme of the seminar. Supriya Sahu Joint Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India emphasized on the community Radio and its advantages to the nation who was also the Chief Guest of the day. Rajeev Kumar Shukla Dy Director General, All India Radio shared some wonderful experiences and experiments. Dr. R. Shreedharan Former Director Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), Paolo Mefalopulos Chief Communication for Development, UNICEF, Geeta Malhotra Country Director READ India, N. Krishanan General Secretary Community Radio Forum & Director Ideosync Media Combine, Dr. Archana Kumar Associate Professor Development and Extension Lady Irwin College, Paul Egglestone of University of Central Lancashire and R.K. Singh of Asian School of Communication spoke on the occasion.
