Noida: A grand award presentation ceremony was organized at the AAFT School of Fashion & Design and AAFT School of Interior Design to honour the designers, creative teams, and contributors associated with the successful execution of the 10th Global Fashion and Design Week.

The awards were presented by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Radhey Shyam Mishra, IAS, Revenue Department, and Dr. Yogendra Singh from the IT Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, and Dr. Himani Choudhary, Campus Director.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah congratulated the students, faculty members, designers, and organizing teams for their extraordinary dedication and creativity in making the event a historic success. He emphasized that the Global Fashion and Design Week has emerged as one of the most prestigious academic events in the creative arts sector.

  • 96 fashion rounds

Noida, India: The first official poster of the 10th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2026 was grandly released at Marwah Studios, Film City, marking the beginning of yet another iconic international fashion event. The much-awaited fashion extravaganza is scheduled to be held from 2nd to 4th April 2026.

Organized under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and ICMEI, the event is recognized as the biggest academic fashion week in the world.

Addressing the gathering during the poster release ceremony, Dr. Marwah expressed his enthusiasm and pride in announcing the event. He stated, “Global Fashion and Design Week Noida has become a powerful platform for young designers and creative minds from across the globe. It is not just a fashion week, but a celebration of innovation, culture, and artistic excellence. We are committed to providing international exposure and opportunities to emerging talent.”

The 10th edition promises to be a spectacular showcase of creativity and global collaboration, with participation from 250 designers presenting 750 dresses and 150 furniture designs. The event will witness representation from 92 countries, making it a truly international affair.

Spread across 9 halls of Marwah Studios, the three-day festival will feature 90 rounds of fashion shows, offering an immersive experience of global fashion trends and design excellence. An extensive team of around 300 professionals has been working tirelessly for more than three months to curate and prepare this grand event.

10th Global Fashion and Design Week to be Held from 2nd to 4th April at Marwah Studios

Noida, India: The prestigious 10th edition of the Global Fashion and Design Week will be organized from 2nd to 4th April at Marwah Studios, bringing together fashion designers, interior designers, academicians, and creative professionals from across the globe.

The grand international event is being prepared by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and the AAFT School of Interior Design in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

Speaking about the event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and founder of Marwah Studios, stated that the festival has grown into the biggest academic fashion week in the world, attracting massive participation from the international creative community.

This year, around 100 countries are expected to participate in the celebration, with 250 designers presenting their work. A remarkable 750 garments will be showcased across 90 fashion rounds during the three-day extravaganza, highlighting creativity, innovation, and cultural diversity in fashion.

The festival will also feature a special Interior and Furniture Design Showcase, where more than 100 newly designed furniture pieces will be displayed as part of the design week, reflecting the creativity and innovation of young designers.

Importantly, 2nd April, the opening day of the event, will also mark the celebration of Asian Unity Day in association with the Asian Unity Alliance, promoting the message of “Love, Peace and Unity through Art and Culture.”

Noida Film City, India: The vibrant and innovative Furniture Exhibition designed by the students of AAFT School of Interior Design became one of the major attractions during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism Noida. The exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago; H.E. Alberto Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay; and H.E. Abdullah M Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine, in the presence of distinguished guests and media professionals from India and abroad.

Noida, India : The Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Serbia in India, proudly participated in the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at Marwah Studios. The week-long celebration of art, fashion, and culture has officially been recognized as the largest fashion week ever hosted by any academic institution worldwide.

Organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in partnership with the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and the AAFT School of Interior Designing, this landmark event featured: 200 leading designers; 550 designer garments; 125 artistically crafted furniture pieces; 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows; 6 curated exhibitions; 9 international culinary showcases

The event was further enriched by fashion film screenings, live broadcasting on MSTV and Radio Noida, and enjoyed the collaboration of over 600 global media houses.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his enthusiasm: The Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum was established in collaboration with the Embassy of Serbia to strengthen the cultural bridge between our two great nations. As a major cultural contributor to the international event, the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum presented a striking fashion collection inspired by the rich artistic traditions of Serbia, particularly the Kolo dance—a symbol of national unity and celebration.

The showcased collection included: Flowing banana crepe pants, designed to mimic the elegance and motion of the dance; A palette of deep reds and blues, reflecting strength, resilience, and unity; Bold folkloric prints, echoing the rhythm and energy of the traditional Kolo movements.

This artistic line celebrated cultural storytelling, movement, and heritage, turning Serbia’s folk legacy into wearable expressions of pride and elegance. Additionally, the Forum also displayed a piece of furniture inspired by Serbian design traditions, garnering attention for its craftsmanship and cultural significance.

The participation of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum at GFDW 2025 stands as a testament to the growing creative and diplomatic collaboration between India and Serbia.

Noida: The 9th Global Fashion and Design Week has officially been recognized as the largest fashion week ever organized by any academic institution worldwide. The event delivered an extraordinary celebration of creativity and cultural fusion, featuring: 550 uniquely designed garments, 125 innovative furniture pieces, 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows, 6 curated exhibitions, 9 international culinary displays

The event also included the screening of fashion films, live coverage through MSTV and Radio Noida, and enjoyed the proud association of over 600 media houses globally.

The mega celebration was meticulously planned by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in association with the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and the AAFT School of Interior Designing.

As in previous editions, the Indo Mongolia Film and Cultural Forum was a prominent participant, presenting a breathtaking collection inspired by the art and cultural heritage of Mongolia. This year’s showcase drew inspiration from Mongolia’s vibrant Tsam Dance Festival, translating traditional motifs into stylish modern wear.

The featured collection included: A-line silhouettes crafted from breezy banana crepe and Vivian fabric. Bold block prints and symbolic Tsam mask motifs, A vivid color palette of blue, yellow, and green, reflecting the festive spirit, deep-rooted cultural pride, and rich artistic legacy of Mongolia. Additionally, a unique piece of furniture inspired by Mongolian design sensibilities was also displayed, further emphasizing the cultural depth of the event.

The Indo Mongolian Film and Cultural Forum, a joint initiative between the Embassy of Mongolia in India and ICMEI, continues to work passionately to promote and develop people-to-people relations between the two nations. A dedicated Mongolia Desk at ICMEI remains active throughout the year, ensuring sustained collaboration and cultural exchange.

Each piece of furniture displayed during the week reflected the deep cultural heritage and artistic sensibilities of the respective countries, making it a true celebration of global unity through design. Every furniture  representing the country is supported by the film and cultural Forum of that nation.

Sunita Kohli is an acclaimed Indian interior designer, architectural restorer, and furniture manufacturer. She has restored and decorated several iconic buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President’s House), the Parliament House Colonnade, the Prime Minister’s Office, and Hyderabad House in New Delhi. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992.

Sunita Kohli has also been a guest lecturer at various prestigious institutions, including Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Innovations, Emory University’s Carlos Museum and Halle Institute, Colorado College, and the National Building Museum in Washington DC. She has published and presented several papers and books, further solidifying her expertise and influence in the field of interior design.
