Dr. Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair of Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), has been nominated as the Chair of the Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum under the aegis of ICMEI.

The certificate of appointment was formally presented by H.E. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to India, during a special ceremony held in New Delhi. The appointment marks an important step towards strengthening cultural and creative cooperation between India and Djibouti.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Marwah Studios and ICMEI, said, “I am deeply honoured to have been nominated as the Chair of the Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. This prestigious responsibility further strengthens our commitment to fostering closer ties between India and the Republic of Djibouti through the powerful mediums of cinema, media, art, culture, education, and tourism.”

Dr. Marwah further emphasized that the Forum will work towards creating meaningful opportunities for filmmakers, artists, media professionals, educators, students, and cultural institutions from both countries. He highlighted the potential of cinema and creative industries in promoting mutual understanding, friendship, and people-to-people relations.

H.E. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to India, congratulated Dr. Sandeep Marwah on his appointment and said, “We are pleased to have Dr. Sandeep Marwah leading this important Forum. New Delhi: H.E. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to India, has been presented with the Patronship of the Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

The honour recognizes His Excellency’s valuable support and commitment towards strengthening cultural, educational, artistic, and cinematic relations between India and Djibouti. The Forum aims to create greater opportunities for cooperation in films, media, education, art, culture, and creative industries between the two nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, ICMEI, said, “It is a matter of great honour to present the Patronship of the Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum to H.E. New Delhi: The Indo–Djibouti Film and Cultural Forum was formally inaugurated by H.E. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to India, at a gracious ceremony held at the Embassy of Djibouti in New Delhi.

The launch marks an important step towards strengthening cultural, cinematic and creative relations between India and Djibouti and creating new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of films, television, media, education, art and culture.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to India, welcomed the initiative and appreciated the efforts to bring the two nations closer through the power of cinema and culture. He emphasised that cultural exchange is an effective means of promoting mutual understanding, friendship and people-to-people relations. He expressed his desire to see greater cooperation between India and Djibouti in the creative sectors and hoped that the Forum would become a vibrant platform for meaningful exchanges and joint initiatives.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), said that India and Djibouti share tremendous potential for cooperation in the fields of media, entertainment, films and culture. “India has always believed in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family. Through cinema, art and culture, we can build bridges of friendship, understanding and cooperation between India and Djibouti,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

He further expressed confidence that the Forum would open new avenues for filmmakers, artists, media professionals, students and cultural organisations from both nations and contribute to stronger bilateral relations.

The inauguration concluded with a commitment to further promote India–Djibouti friendship through films, media, art and culture, making the Forum an important platform for long-term cooperation between the two countries.
