Lesotho Cuisine Adds African Flavour to International Food Festival at 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025

Noida, India: The distinctive and wholesome flavours of the Kingdom of Lesotho were elegantly presented at the International Food Festival organised during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025, creating a memorable cultural experience for national and international guests. The Lesotho cuisine pavilion was thoughtfully designed and curated by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, reflecting the country’s rich food traditions and cultural identity.

The pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. Metsing Edsel Lemphane, Counsellor, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, who appreciated the initiative for highlighting African culinary heritage on a global platform. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Marwah Studios, stated that food festivals play a powerful role in cultural diplomacy, bringing nations closer by celebrating their traditions, stories, and values through taste and presentation.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Metsing Edsel Lemphane applauded AAFT and the Global Film Festival Noida for creating a prestigious international platform where countries like Lesotho can share their cultural richness with the world. He emphasized that such exchanges strengthen bilateral relations and foster deeper understanding between nations. Juris Bone, Ambassador of Latvia to India, was formally presented with the Patronship of the newly formed Indo–Latvia Film and Cultural Forum during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) 2025 at the iconic Marwah Film City, Noida. The ceremony marked a historic first in cultural collaboration between India and Latvia through cinema and the arts.

Accepting the Patronship, H.E. Juris Bone expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that cinema and culture serve as powerful tools to build bridges between nations. He appreciated India’s vibrant film ecosystem and educational framework and emphasized that the Forum would open new avenues for cooperation in filmmaking, cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and people-to-people engagement between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, President of GFFN, and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, described the development as a milestone achievement. He stated that this was the first-of-its-kind arrangement between India and Latvia, and expressed happiness that the Ambassador of Latvia had graciously accepted the Patronship of the Indo–Latvia Film and Cultural Forum. New Delhi, Hotel Shangri-La — In a landmark gathering organized to honour the historic visit of H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, the Indo–Russian Film and Cultural Forum hosted the Indo–Russia Film Summit, bringing together some of the most influential filmmakers, producers, and creative leaders from Russia and India.

Addressing this distinguished assembly in his capacity as Chair of the Indo–Russian Film and Cultural Forum, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI, extended a powerful message of cultural harmony and cinematic partnership. Noida, 20th July 2025: The 10th Annual Meet of the Writers’ Association of India will take place at the iconic Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, bringing together a distinguished gathering of writers, authors, poets, and poetesses from across the nation. The event is being organized in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), Asian Academy of Arts, and AAFT International Skill Development Council, reinforcing its national and global literary relevance.

Presiding over the prestigious meet, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the Writers’ Association of India, emphasized the critical role of literary skills in the creative professions. “It is very important that everyone associated with media and the arts must know how to read, how to speak, and how to write,” said Dr. Marwah. “Only then can they rise to a better and bigger platform.
