Celebration of Twenty-Five Years of AAFT Started

Celebrations Started


Noida: The most popular school of this side of the World-Asian Academy of Film And Television has started celebrating its completion of Twenty-Five Years of existence.

1993 AAFT was started by the founder of Noida Film City {1986} Sandeep Marwah who started the first professional film studios of North India under the name Marwah Studios in 1991.

Noida Film City, Marwah Studios and now Asian Academy of Film And Television too have become an international brand as far as film, television and media education is concerned. AAFT has started celebrating completion of twenty-five years in education. The film school, which started with four courses and 40 seats, has grown to the first film university of the World.

Cinema, Mass communication & Journalism, Performing Arts, Skill Development Courses, Hospitality and Tourism, Graphics And Animations, Fashion And Design, a Business School, a Management School and a Law School are now part of AAFT.

Large number of events have started taking place in the campus highlighting numerous success and contribution to International film and television industry including 12000 media professional from 120 countries of the World.

A Trip To Varanasi Was Great Success – Sandeep Marwah


Trip to Varanasi by AAFT


New Delhi:  The international head quarters of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Confluence an art organization conducted a trip to Varanasi the oldest town of the human kind.

The trip had in its itinerary a visit to different locations of the city, participation in handicraft and textile exhibition, visit to handicraft museum, a fashion show an award function, sharing time with world famous Ganga Aarti and other entertainment program for three days.

“The special guest were the Ambassadors and High Commissioners, other than large number of state and central government officers, who all were there to the constituency of Prime Minister Hon’ able Narendra Modi to be part of this exciting tour,” informed Samita Srivastava.

Ambassador of Venezuela, Ambassador of Gabon, High Commissioner of Indonesia, High Commissioner of Mauritius, Ambassador of Algeria were among the others who all enjoyed this educational tour. The event was supported by AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism and NFTC and ICMEI.

Powerful Lyrics Makes Music Last For Ever- Sandeep Marwah

New Delhi: A Ghazal evening to promote authoritative lyrics was recently organized by organization under the leader ship of Dr, Mridula Satish Tandon at Islamic Cultural Centre for Arts at New Delhi.

Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios, Dr. Seyed E. Hasnain Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University and Dr. Markandya Ahuja Vice Chancellor of Gurugram University and Padma Bhushan Uma Sharma in the presence of large number of poets, musicians and lyric writers jointly inaugurated the event.

A book, comprising of lyrics by ten different writers, was also released in the august presence of all the writers by Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and other dignities followed by release of Ghazal Album ‘Soch Ke Moti’ sung by Shakeel Ahmed who later took over the show from the rest of the people reciting poetry.

“Writing, music and other creative arts can get you success and name if you are in love with your creative profession. The passion is the key word for artists and it must drive you also to work hard. A lot of persuasion is needed to come forward and be in the first lists of successful artists,” said Sandeep Marwah expressing in poetry liked by the music lovers in the hall. “Powerful lyrics makes the music last for ever,” added Marwah.

Ustad Aleem Khan, Pratap Somvanshi, Zeeshan Niazi, Aleena Itrat, Laxmi Shankar Bajpai, Mamta Kiran, Rais Siddiqui Ibs, Farhat Shahzad, Nazim Naqvi and Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan were also present there.

Mount Abu: A grand cultural event to promote love and peace was inaugurated by Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister at the international head quarters of Brahma Kumari at Mount Abu.

Large number of participants from all over India and abroad reached there for a residential program. The permanent members of the spiritual organization from different centers from all over the World were also present there to be part of this traditional and educational program.

“The most important things are your feelings and your thinking, if you can rectify these two you are bound to do a good job and you can convert this earth into heaven,” said Sandeep Marwah President World Peace Development And Research Foundation in the inaugural function after lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Sandeep Marwah has goal of bringing love, peace and unity in the whole World through art and culture. He has been associated with more than 5000 events where he has spread the word of Peace. His is chairing more than 100 organizations and has reached to more than 145 countries of the World.

News Letter on Cyprus Released by The High Commissioner


New Delhi: Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum has done a wonderful job by consolidating all the events conducted during the year in one simple News Letter released by H.E. Demetrios A Thephyopious High Commissioner of Cyprus to India.

It was  during Global Film Festival Noida 2015 Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum was created and launched to promote and develop relation between two countries through films and other arts.

“I am touched by the gesture extended by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry by incorporating all their events and created a news letter means it is recorded and history has been made,” said H.E. Demetrios on the last day of his stay in India.

“The cooperation what we have received from the High Commission and its staff has given us enough strength to work for this association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI. Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI and Rajiv Mathur Director ICMEI were also present there.

Noida: AAFT School of Performing Arts appreciated the deep knowledge of the great music maestro Pandit Roy Chaudhary when he was invited to take the workshop at Noida Film City.

“We are thankful to Pandit Biswajit and his complete team for sharing his experience with the students of performing arts. Students are  amazed with his presentation,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group. Spic Macay supported the event.

“It is my interest to teach students and clear their wrong notions if any regaring music especially classical music,” said Pandit Chaudhary while answering the questions.

Pandit Biswajit Roy Chaudhary was initiated into music by his father Shri Ranajit Roy Chowdhary, a serious Sarod player trained under the Late Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan and others. In 1978, Roy Chowdhury's talents were spotted by the Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan accepting him as a disciple.

Over the years Biswajit Roy Chowdhary has performed in various locations all over India and has participated regularly in some of the prestigious concerts. These include The Tansen Festival in Gwalior, the Shankar Lal FestivalDelhi, the Harvallabh Sangeet Samaroha in Jalundhar, the Vishnu Digambar Jayanti in Delhi,. He recorded the album "The Sarod Master" for Hot Club Records, produced by guitar player Jon Larsen.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored and Presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club to Panditji.

Sandeep Marwah Extended Gratitude to Senior Film Makers

Mumbai: “I am thankful to each and every one who has contributed to the growth of Asian Academy of Film And Television in these last twenty five years of its existence,” said Sandeep Marwah founder, Promoter and President of AAFT during his trip to Mumbai.

“1993 We shot Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi for almost four months at Marwah Studios. That was another full length feature film shot at Noida, The film became internationally successful. We learned a lot from Shekhar Kapur, the Director of the Film,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking Shekhar for trusting him even at that time.

Marwah also extend his gratitude to Satish Kaushik for his continuous support by shooting films at Marwah Studios be it Badhai o Badhai, Prem, Khushi or his contribution towards film education by taking workshops with different batches of AAFT.

“I know Javed Sahib since 1982 and his consent as Member of the Academic Council has given us the opportunity to have screening of all the films he has written so far including Deewar, Sholay, Trishul, Mr India, etc.

AAFT has already started celebrating this year as Silver Jubliee Year. Large number of events has been planned through out the year.
