Exhibition of Pictures of Making of Feature Film LOST

It was a moment of joy for the Asian Education Group when its students of ASC-UCLan gave a sneak preview of the stills of their first full length feature film “LOST” at an exhibition which was inaugurated by senior lecturer of University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Preston, UK, Peter Wobser here today.

When asked Peter about the film, he said Wow with a smile and said students here at the India Campus have proved that they have the potential and are under the right guidance.
This is the first time in the country that the undergraduate students of a film production course have a feature film under their belt. As part of the module for the students studying in the India campus of UCLan, the film was shot on different locations in Kolkata.

Over 100 photographs taken by the students were on display. They ranged from working shots of guys and girls to the crew members relaxing during the shoot.

Appreciating the work of the students, AEG President Sandeep Marwah who is also the producer of the film said that ASC-UCLan is the only university in the country to give practical training to students on a professional level. I am happy with my students to have come up with such a good film and I am sure that they all have a bright future. We make them learn today so that they stand out in the tinsel world tomorrow, he added.

Head of the school, R.K. Singh said that nowhere in the country such practical training is given to students of the film production course. “I feel pleased to see the students as young film-makers and we are proud to be part of their grooming.

Veteran Journalist & International Journalism course leader Nitin Saxena commented on the exhibition that the wall look like a vibrant photo album narrating a live picture of how charming & hectic the shoot at Kolkata must have been.
