Noida: All India meet was
planned AIHRA- All India Human Rights Association on the World Human Rights Day
on 10th December 2016 at
Noida Film City. Members and office bearers from all the states of India were
present on the occasion to talk about their success stories and contribution
towards society’s upliftment.
"Upholding human rights is in
the interest of all. Respect for human rights advances well-being for every
individual, stability for every society, and harmony for our interconnected
world" Rajiv Chandran read the message sent by United Nations
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
“This year, Human Rights Day calls on everyone to stand up for someone's rights! Disrespect for basic human rights continues to be widespread in all parts of the globe. Extremist movements subject people to horrific violence. Messages of intolerance and hatred prey on our fears. Humane values are under attack,” said M.U.Dua President of AIHRA.
“The time for this is now. “We the peoples” can take a stand for rights. And together, we can take a stand for more humanity,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios who is chairing more than 100 voluntary organizations for the welfare of the community.
“It starts with each of us. Step forward and defend the rights of a refugee or migrant, a person with disabilities, an LGBT person, a woman, a child, indigenous peoples, a minority group, or anyone else at risk of discrimination or violence,” added Marwah while receiving the award.
AIHRA-All India Human Rights Association honored
the Global Cultural Minister Sandeep Marwah and Rajiv Chandran for their human
activities. Sandeep Marwah also nominated Chief Patron to the organization.
