New Delhi: A powerful MOU- Memorandum of Understanding
has been signed between ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment
Industry and Embassy of Myanmar in India representing Government of Myanmar to
promote art and culture of both the countries.
The MOU was signed by Dr.
Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and H.E. Moe Kyaw Aung Ambassador of Myanmar to India
at the Embassy of Myanmar at Chanakyapuri.
“We have discussed in length
as how ICMEI can help in bringing people of India close to people of Myanmar.
We also want Indians to know more about culture of Myanmar and vice versa,”
said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.
Promotion through
scholarships, radio programs, television programs, print and social media
publicity, events including musical recitals, dance recitals, honoring visiting
artists from Myanmar, exchange programs in education, film festivals are some
of the points finalized in the discussion.
“We are eager to work with
ICMEI and I am sure we will take our relations to new and higher platform,”
said H.E. Moe Kyaw Aung Ambassador of Myanmar to India.
