Discussion on the Cancellation of CBSE Exams for 12th Class |
New Delhi: “The sky is not going to fall down, nor schools are closing down for ever. The responsibilities of colleges for higher education is not going to wipe off if there are no exams for class 12th that is also for one year. Students have learned what they wanted to during the last year of the school in 12th class. Not necessary to appear in the exams,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media And Arts, 27 years in education, running 14 different colleges of creative nature in a webinar to discuss the cancellation of CBSE 12th class examinations.
“Life is more important. Mental and physical health of students have more importance than just appearing for one exams. Students can pickup if they want during their first year of college, whatever subject they are opting for. The result should be according to their one year performance in the school during 12th class,” added Dr. Marwah.
“I think we all are forgetting the definition of education. It is the process of facilitating learning , or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, discussion and direct research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, however learners can also educate themselves,” emphasised Dr. Sandeep Marwah who is also associated with many educational bodies in India and abroad.
Dr. Vinod Shastri, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Neha Sharma, Prof. Dr. Ajay Rana, Dr. Arun Kumar Purjari also expressed their views on the subject. Lt. Col. A Sekhar moderated the whole discussion. The event was planned by Sunanda Rao of Career Beacon.
