New Delhi: MSMEs are micro, small, and medium enterprises that engage in the service sector or the manufacturing, processing, production, and preservation of goods. MSMEs contribute significantly to India’s total GDP, and the government’s objective is to raise this contribution to 50% in the coming years,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios inaugurating the MSME Conclave at Hotel Meridien organised by Dr. Harish Chandra of Star International MSME Forum.
“MSMEs not only play crucial role in providing large employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost than large industries but also help in industrialization of rural & backward areas, thereby, reducing regional imbalances, assuring more equitable distribution of national income and wealth. India has approximately 6.3 crore MSMEs. MSMEs contribute to approximately 8% of India’s GDP, employ over 60 million people, have an enormous share of 40% in the exports market and 45% in the manufacturing sector,” added Dr. Marwah while lighting the ceremonial lamp.
“I am happy our Prime Minister has given a beautiful word of ATMANIRBHAR to the nation. The real meaning goes like this- Ambitious, Techno Savy, Motivational, Attitude, Nationalist, Information, Research, Believe, Humanity, All-rounder, and result oriented,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah to the large audience from MSME segment of the industry.
Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah was honoured with the prestigious MSME Award for his untiring contribution to Media and Entertainment Industry. H.E. Nguyen Thanh Hai Ambassador of Vietnam to India was also present on the Stage along with other dignities.
