Noida: AAFT proudly announced the inauguration of a new unit of the Hindustan Scouts and Guides Association, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to holistic education and character development. The event was held at the AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, AAFT School of Health and Management, and AAFT School of Digital Marketing, and AAFT School of Interior Design reflecting the comprehensive nature of this initiative.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and Commissioner International HS&GA articulated the core philosophy behind this initiative during his inaugural address. “The real way to achieve happiness is by spreading happiness to others. Scouts and Guides instill the values of readiness, support, and altruism. Our goal is to imbue these habits in the students of AAFT, ensuring they emerge not only as skilled professionals but also as exemplary human beings,” said Dr. Marwah.
The inauguration was graced by the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries, further underscoring the event’s importance. Lt. Gen Anil Malik (Retd.), who attended in the capacity of Chief Guest, highlighted the transformative power of the Scouts and Guides movement. He emphasized the critical role such organizations play in nurturing responsible and compassionate citizens.
Adding to the significance of the event, Jyoti Kalash, IAS (Retd.), provided insights into the enduring impact of scouting and guiding on individual and societal levels. “Scouts and Guides foster a spirit of community and resilience, qualities that are essential in today’s world,” remarked Kalash.
Anil Pratham, IPS and National Chief Commissioner, elaborated on the motto and ethos of the Scouts and Guides. He explained, “The Scouts and Guides movement is built on principles of duty, honor, and service. Our mission is to develop young individuals who are not only prepared for professional success but are also dedicated to the greater good.”
The establishment of the new unit at AAFT aims to integrate the core values of the Scouts and Guides into the academic and extracurricular framework of the institution. By doing so, AAFT aspires to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and morally.
