Chancellor of AAFT University Explores New York City for Academic and Research Opportunities

New York, USA – Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, recently embarked on an enriching study tour to New York City, USA. The visit aimed to explore various aspects of business relevant to the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Cinema, and other academic disciplines including promotion of Indo American Film and Cultural Forum.

During his visit, Dr. Marwah had the privilege of engaging with distinguished individuals at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. His itinerary included a visit to the headquarters of the United Nations and the UN office of the Brahma Kumaris. Additionally, he toured the Manhattan Centre of Brahma Kumaris, the Temple at Edison, and one of the largest temples located in Robbinsville, New Jersey.

Dr. Marwah also conducted extensive research at renowned hospitality establishments, including the Ritz Carlton chains in New York at Central Park and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as the Park Lane Hotel and Hilton among others. These visits were focused on identifying internship opportunities for AAFT students and understanding the operational dynamics of top-tier hotels.

Recognizing New York City as a global fashion hub, Dr. Marwah explored a myriad of international fashion brands based in Manhattan. His tour included prestigious shopping destinations such as Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Hudson Yards, and Fifth Avenue’s iconic Saks.

Manhattan, known as the most densely populated of New York City’s five boroughs, primarily consists of Manhattan Island, bordered by the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers. It stands as a major commercial, financial, and cultural center, earning its reputation as the heart of “the Big Apple.” Manhattan’s skyline is adorned with iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building, neon-lit Times Square, and the renowned theaters of Broadway.

Tourism plays a crucial role in Manhattan’s economy, drawing millions of visitors each year. In 2019 alone, a record 66.6 million tourists visited the city, generating an impressive $47.4 billion in tourism revenue.

Dr. Marwah’s visit underscores AAFT University’s commitment to providing its students with comprehensive and diverse learning experiences. His engagements and research efforts in New York City are expected to significantly enhance the academic and professional opportunities available to AAFT students.

Sandeep Marwah Reappointed as Chair for M&E Committee in IACC

New Delhi: Distinguished film, TV, and media personality, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, has once again been nominated as the Chair for the Media and Entertainment Committee of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) in New Delhi.

Dr. Marwah, a prominent figure in the global entertainment industry, expressed his gratitude for the reappointment, stating, “It is an honor to continue my association with the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and contribute to the dynamic field of media and entertainment in the Indo-American business landscape. My personal connection with the United States further strengthens my commitment to fostering collaboration between the two nations.”

The announcement was met with congratulations from key figures within the IACC. Arun Karna, Regional President North and Managing Director of AT&T Global Network Services P Ltd, along with Upasana Arora, former President IACC North Chapter and Managing Director of Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals, extended their warm congratulations to Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Marwah, also the President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), highlighted the significance of fostering strong ties with the United States, noting, “At ICMEI, we have a dedicated committee focusing on the United States, emphasizing the importance of cultural and economic collaboration between the two nations.”

The Media and Entertainment Committee of IACC, under Dr. Marwah’s leadership, is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing cooperation and exploring opportunities in the dynamic and rapidly evolving media and entertainment sector.

AAFT Signed MOU with American Company for Promotion of Film Activities

Noida: Asian Academy of Film and Television has recently signed a MOU with Cistula Tulipp Group- the Entertainment Felicitators around the World from United States of America to promote film activities in India and America.

“I have been to AAFT & Marwah Studios many times and always been impressed by the quality and quantity of work projected by Sandeep Marwah through his large organizations dealing in different creative works. I also faced many instances where I have come across very talented film makers, turns out to be the product of AAFT. I admire the bubbling energy of the campus every time you visit here,” said Mike Berry while signing the MOU at Noida Film City.

“We are lucky to have Mike Berry on the board. His cooperation and coordination with American Film Industry cannot be ignored. We thank him for selecting our students for internship for American Film Companies,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking him for his visit.

Needless to say that AAFT and Marwah Studios      have a lot to do with USA. Sandeep Marwah also chairing Indo America Film and Cultural Forum and associated with Indo American Chamber of Commerce.
