Indo-Chile Film and Cultural Forum Spotlights Chilean Heritage at 9th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2025 |
Noida, India – May 31, 2025 – The Indo-Chile Film and Cultural Forum, in proud association with the Embassy of Chile in India, marked a vibrant celebration of cultural diplomacy through fashion at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at the iconic Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.
Recognized as the world’s largest academic fashion week, GFDW 2025 brought together a global community of creators, thinkers, and designers, further solidifying India’s leadership in art, design, and international cultural exchange. The event was organized under the visionary leadership of the Fashion Committee of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), and supported by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing.
This year’s edition welcomed over 200 celebrated designers, presented 550 original garments, and showcased 125 unique interior design installations. The week featured 9 grand fashion shows, 90 runway rounds, 6 curated exhibitions, and 9 international culinary experiences, all broadcasted live via MSTV, Radio Noida, and covered extensively by over 600 global media outlets.
A key highlight was the significant participation of the Indo-Chile Film and Cultural Forum, under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who emphasized, “India and Chile share a wonderful bond that is further strengthened through cultural collaboration in art, fashion, and design. This platform beautifully enhances our ties through creative expression.”
The Indo-Chile segment mesmerized audiences with its exclusive fashion presentation, “Amber Husk”—a collection inspired by the landscapes, traditions, and indigenous artistry of Chile. Reflecting the golden hues of ancestral maize, the designs wove together rustic textures, hand-crafted wooden beadwork, and structured yet flowing silhouettes, portraying the harmony of heritage and modernity. Each garment paid tribute to the resilience and cultural richness of the Chilean people.
Additionally, an intricately crafted piece of Chilean-inspired furniture was displayed, integrating native design motifs with contemporary form—celebrating the fusion of tradition and innovation in interior design.
The Indo-Chile Film and Cultural Forum continues to lead the way in fostering international unity and artistic excellence through cross-cultural engagement.
